Indicolite exited the human establishment known as the "Big Donut" carrying a small bag of the circular pastries. He didn't intend on eating them, and from afar, it might have looked as if the blue gem were simply walking by the seashore staring into a paper bag. The reality was, however, that Indy was mentally communicating with the gem artifact upon his arm, a Howlite wristlet, and he had purchased the donuts to satisfy the artifact's unquenchable curiosity.
"So it's a human food that has very little nutritional value?" Howlite inquired telepathically. Indicolite nodded his agreement and responded aloud, despite being able respond mentally. "Humans are an interesting species, and presumably, a big factor in what they decide to eat is the taste of food, despite it being lacking in actual sustenance." The blue gem was still strolling on the beach, and he stopped abruptly, never taking his eyes from the contents of the bag. He reached in with one hand and pulled out a pink pastry, complete with rainbow sprinkles. The blue gem pursed his lips as he considered consuming it, and held it up as he once again started his walk. With all his attention focused on the donut, Indy was unable to see, much less avoid, the red bump that shot through the sand and grabbed his foot. Instantly the gem's attention shifted downward, and he was able to get a glimpse of a red claw before the rest of the appendage's body began to erupt from the ground. He let out a small yelp that was quickly cut off as he was thrown a few meters away, losing his bag of donuts in the process.
The blue gem groaned as he picked himself onto his feet, rubbing his head as he tried to re-focus his vision on the red creature. Indy blinked a few times and took a few steps back as he noticed that the red creature was simply an oversized,5 meter long, lobster. It was one glaring shade of red from it's beady gem eyes, to it's fan-like tail. Indy did a double take and returned his vision to the lobster's eyes, finally understanding that it was a corrupted gem. He wasted no time drawing a shortsword from his gem and took a defensive stance. He was about to spring into action when Howlite interrupted his battle plan. I wouldn't suggest a straight attack Indy, lobster's are known for their hard carapace, and I highly doubt a 'corrupted' gem's will be any softer Indy coughed as he realized she was right, but didn't have any more time to come up with any more ideas because the sand around the lobster had began shifting. The blue gem gasped with horror as a small army of lobsters climbed out of the sand, and although they weren't as big as the first one, they were still a whopping meter long each. The blue gem clutched his sword a bit tighter, unsure of how he was going to wriggle his way out of this one.
