Indicolite found himself yet again in the woods near Beach City. It had been quite awhile since he had last been here, but he remembered how tranquil the forest seemed to be, and today he wanted to avoid the beach. The blue gem strolled through the trees, admiring the scenery and the sounds of nature. He paused for a moment, realizing that most of the time when he was out for a walk, an adversary usually showed up, and he smiled wryly to himself as he shook away his paranoia.
Not a minute later, Indy heard a deep rumble flutter through the forest that shook the leaves and disturbed the peace. The blue gem took a deep breath as he narrowed his eyes and did a 360 to find the source of the disturbance. His thoughts were quickly interrupted by the sound of what seemed to be a large truck making a beeline towards him. Indy quickly jumped to the side, and narrowly evaded the oncoming hulk of mass. He rolled a few times before picking himself up to his feet, only to see a 5 meter creature rise to it's back legs. The sun was shining into his eyes, but Indy managed to make out the silhouette of a... bear? Indy raised a hand to cover the sun, and he was able to correct his guess. The creature was actually what looked to be a corrupted gem that took the shape of a bear. It's fur was one dull shade of green, and it roared skyward in fury. Indicolite drew his shortsword from his gem, prepared to defend himself if necessary.
Phoenyx was roaming the woods, enjoying the scenery and picking up flowers. The day was bright and it only made him happier to see all of the forest in full bloom. He walked into a clearing to sit down when he heard a great roar in the distance. He stood quickly, looking in all directions to try and pinpoint where the sound came from.
He began sprinting towards the source of the sound, a bit of worry breaking across his face. He ran into the area with the bear and blue gem, then stopped, watching with awe at the great beast, then came forward and summoned his leg blades from his gem, winces as he threw them into his legs. The metal curved and contoured to the muscle on his leg, forming sharp hooks as he stood closeby. "Need some help?!" He smiled as he spoke to the unknown gem.
Blaire was resting in the woods nearby the lively town of Beach City. He had set himself down for a quick rest against a tall and strong tree full of lush green leaves, as the rest of the forest was. This tranquil setting almost seemed too perfect, almost boring to him. Suddenly, just as his mind was calm and became comfortable with his spot against the tree, he heard a loud roar from deep within the woods. He shot up, his war hammer already generated and his palms clenching the handle.
Blaire charged through the forest towards the source of the loud roar. Although he was slow with his armor and war hammer, he arrived to the scene quickly. He caught sight of two young gems stopped in front of an amazingly large creature, which seemed to be corrupted and sported the form of a large, bear-like beast, about 5 meters in height. He immediately charged at the beast from the side and smashed its leg in from under itself, the beast toppled onto the ground in front of the two other gems. However, that one blow wouldn't be enough to stop this corrupted gem...
Indicolite's face shaped into a half-smile, half-grimace when Phoenyx showed up and threw blades into his legs. The blue gem's facial expression remained frozen for a few moments before yet another gem appeared onto the scene, albeit after a large of crashing through the trees and foliage. Indy's face still hadn't changed when the hulking red and black form immediately ran up the corrupted gem and knocked flat. Indicolite looked from Phoenyx to Blaire a few times before returning his attention to the corrupted gem, which was starting to get back up. Indy was about answer the onyx's question when 2 more corrupted gems tromped out of the bushes, each about half the size of the original bear. The blue gem once again studied his new allies and answered Phoenyx's question, "Uh... yea, I could definitely use some help" He turned back the 3 bears, gripping his sword a little tighter.
As he raised his hammer, a scream began to let out of Blaire's wide jaw. He rushed one of the smaller creatures and smashed his hammer onto the ground, shaking the dirt beneath him. He noticed after a couple of seconds that the creature had dodged his devastating blow. Blaire's expression began to fade into an angry grin, showing his teeth as if he were an animal. He swung his weapon to the left, his body turning slowly but the hammer seemed to move much more quickly.
The red hot hammer smashed into the corrupted gem's side, singeing fur off of its body and pummeling its weighted body into the side of a large tree. The tree shook, leaves fluttering down as the corrupted gem lay against it. Blaire took a final smash into the creature. His hammer disappeared as he jumped with all his might straight into the gem and pushed his large fist straight through the corrupted creature, forcing it to retreat to its own gem. Blaire turned back towards the larger creature, patiently waiting for someone to make a move.
Phoenyx suddenly didn't remember why he was here. What was happening, he thought? He suddenly became very nervous and backed away from the fighting gems. He was losing his memories, and he didn't know why. He turned away, covering his ears while Blaire screamed. The gem swung his head back and forth, trying to remember where he was, but nothing came to him. Phoenyx breathing became heavy. He then decided that the best course of action would be to run away from these feelings. The black and white gem hauled ass away from the battle, freaking out because he has no dreams or some shit and he like is exiting like wow this ending is so good are you happy?
Indy watched at the surrealistic way that Phoenyx had left the scene, but quickly returned his attention to the danger at hand. The blue gem was astonished at Blaire's speed and efficiency when it came to dealing with one of the corrupted gems and froze up for a few moments. The moment of fear passed, however, and Indy sprang into action. He approached the remaining small bear and eyed up the situation. Just as he was about to attack, the beast swiped a claw at him, and Indy narrowly evaded the attack by jumping back. Even though he had dodged the attack, Indy now realized he had neglected to remain wary of the larger bear, and turned his head to see the monstrosity charging towards him.
Blaire watched as the troubled onyx gem sped off deeper into the forest. He wondered to himself why such a gem would be so troubled, he seemed so calm and collected at first glance. That aside, Blaire had a much bigger problem at hand. He noticed the blue gem being closed in on by the bigger and other smaller gem. He looked at his hammer and noted the distance between him and the bigger beast. Blaire began to spin around and around and around, his hammer in both hands. He flung his hammer straight into the corrupted gem's torso, knocking it back a few meters. He jumped from his stance onto the gem and picked up his hammer again, turning back towards the blue gem.
Indicolite nodded affirmatively as Blaire quickly began handling the larger bear and returned his attention back to the smaller beast. The corrupted gem had decided to go for the same tactic and swiped again at the blue gem. Indy knew that the other two corrupted gems were no longer things to be worried about, and the blue gem decided to go for a counter attack. Ducking under the bear's claws, Indicolite powered forward wielding his sword in the right hand and lighting 5 flames from his left. As he rushed forward, Indy countered with a swipe of his own, running the flames under the corrupted gem's arm. The beast immediately recoiled from the heat and took a few steps back, unbalanced by the sudden shift of weight. Indy decided to take advantage of this unintended movement and drove his sword directly through the now surprised bear, poofing it after a brief moment. Breathing heavily, Indy turned back to see if Blaire needed assistance, surprised to see that they had both turned to look at each at the same time.
Blaire lost his balance as he looked at the blue gem, as the creature he defeated stood back up, swiping randomly at Blaire. Blaire was hit only a couple times by the bear's large claws, his armored arms held up in front of his face, blocking the hits. Although powerful, Blaire was too slow to just jump away and began backing away slowly. He summoned his hammer back into his left hand, almost unbalanced by the bear swiping at him. He began swiping his hammer back at the bear, wanting to hit it, but he had been pushed back into a tree. The bear clawed the tree with one large swipe as Blaire turned behind the tree to escape. The tree toppled down, the loud snapping of the trunk and branches could be heard. Blaire realized he had taken his arrogance on the battlefield a little too far, as he wasn't as skilled in fighting faster enemies. Even if this creature was larger than him, it was also much faster than Blaire and his heavy duty armor. Blaire could only block attacks for now until he had a chance to attack.
Indy noticed that his newfound ally was having some trouble, but the blue gem was too far to use his sword. In a flash of inspiration Indy began closing the gap between him and the final bear. Indicolite knew he wasn't going to be able to run the whole and make it in time, so he released his sword from his hand and concentrated on the weapon. He spun the sword with his telekinesis for a brief moment before flinging it towards the corrupted gem, which was preoccupied with Blaire. It hit the bear spot on, and the bear froze, shuddering for a few seconds. It managed to turn around and give a slight grumble towards Indy, but the corrupted gem quickly retreated back to it's gemstone and fell to the floor in front of Blaire.
Blaire glanced to the side as he saw the blue gem fling his sword straight into the huge bear-like gem. As the corrupted gem was struck by the blue gem's sword, Blaire watched it retreat back into its gem. He took a knee and let out a sigh of relief, he was still not very accustomed to Earth and the circumstances it currently faced, although he did have a small amount of insight on the situation. Resting on one of his knees, he turned his head toward the blue gem. He stood up as his battle hammer dissolved into thin air. He took a few steps toward the blue gem who had saved him from the corrupted gem's attacks. Blaire held out his right hand to the blue gem, his left hand in a fist, showing his gem to his newly found partner. "My name is Blaire and this is my gem on my left hand, I thank you for helping me. What's your name?"
Indicolite bent over once he was sure there weren't any more dangers lurking around. He was searching for the corrupted gems' actual gemstones. He quickly found them and bubbled them, sending them to the burning room at the gem temple. The blue gem then returned to Blaire who was dispersing his warhammer. Indicolite politely waited until the larger gem stood up and introduced himself. For some odd reason, Blaire felt obligated to show his gemstone but Indy simply nodded and shook the red gem's hand. "I'm Indicolite, nice to meet you... and erm... my gem is right here..." Indy indicated to his gemstone, which was on the right side of his head. "And I didn't come to your rescue, You actually came to mine.. so thanks!"
Blaire smiled at Indicolite, putting his right hand on Indicolite's shoulder. "Well I do believe gems and even humans should assist one another in order to keep this planet safe." Blaire was not very accustomed to Earth and its inhabitants, but he did know about being considerate of others. He always wanted to be kind to others and show respect. "I have yet to find a partner, a companion to fight alongside...and I don't know much about Earth so I was wondering if you would allow me to accompany you." Blaire kept a smile, hoping that Indicolite would be willing to travel together. He hoped to become stronger and learn from someone who had spent more time on Earth.
Indicolite curiously watched the hand that rested on his shoulder before looking back at the red gem. Indy folded his arms across his chest as he listened to Blaire speak, his respect for the burly gem growing along with the conversation. The blue gem waited for a moment after Blaire had finished speaking before accepting the offer. "Blaire... I gladly accept your offer. I'd be honored to have you accompany me here on the planet Earth." For once, Indicolite actually meant his sentiments and pointed in the direction of Beach City. "There's a human city in that direction. Right next to it is a gem temple where most gems tend to stay. I think it'd be best if you made a home there as well." With that, Indy began leading the way to Beach City, and a new chapter for the blue gem.
