Agate stayed seated quietly, listening intently to the gem speak. He got the feeling this was a once in a life time chance and didn't want to miss any details. His answer on gems didn't answer as much as he'd liked, he still felt directionless, but at least he mostly understood what he was. He sat up rigidly when the gem's copy touched his gem, even before he learned it was the center of his being it had felt important to him. As well, the fact that each gem had their own abilities interested him. How many unique abilities were out there?
The gem's comment on Agate's both worried and intrigued him. So he was meant for something after all, but a soldier? He was far from a violent gem. His cryptic message stuck with him though. Did he have the choice to not fight? Could he simply refuse to be a soldier? He supposed he'd find out in the coming months.
Agate was still a little shocked to have learned he wasn't alone a mere hour or two ago, but to learn there were thousands if not if not BILLIONS alive... He was relieved to no longer be alone. However the description of the metallic gem-like person worried him. They were like gems, but had their own agenda? From the sound of it, it was almost sinister as well.
Now, the explanation on corrupted gems horrified him. The idea that those... things were once gems scared him. Even more, were actively becoming corrupted. What truly struck him as horrifying was that it could happen to him. He imagined himself turning into a monster like he'd seen, striking out at everything around him. Hurting people. He tried his best to get the thought out of his head and kept listening.
Agate mumbled to himself the gem's name once he spoke it, "Orange Sapphire..." a nice name. He turned his full attention back to the Sapphire, curious how and why this gem would be called a monster and what unique abilities he possessed.
