Vanadinite's eye lids half-closed. "I suppose now there's nothing to lose. I've already broken a rule, might as well do something with the time I have left." she said, putting one of her hands at her forehead whilst keeping her other arm crossed, almost like she was covering her own face her face in shame. Vana sighed, thinking about what to do next. She walked up towards a warp pad, trying it just for luck, but to no avail. "Worth a try.." she says.
Vana turned towards Apache. "So, what's your plan? Do we just go down there?" she asks, walking slowly around the hub. "There must be alot of corrupted down there, not sure how we can get past them. Unless that thing you did earlier will get them to let us pass.

Apache shook her head, surprised to find no opposing thought. "I could try, but an overload will probably hurt a lot." The residue corruption energy must be mostly used up, now that she made all the bubbles. She plucked out a stone on the platform and threw it over the edge. "I think we could try and head down there... you should know something about stealth strategies, right? I- I mean, if you've... never mind. F-forget about that- the water's probably really deep... we could wait for whatever it is to come up, but how long will that take?" Apache glanced back at Vana, whose happy demeanor was now almost completely gone. She was supposed to be a comforting gem. Why hasn't that instinct awakened yet? But of course, there is always another way. Apache slowly drew out her hand. "I could try and get rid of your residue energy i-if that helps. Um... I'd have to ask permission if the someone I absorb from is sentient. Would you mind...?"
Vanadinite smiled at the suggestion. "Thanks.. But I'd rather not be experimented with right now. No offense. I think we should get to whatever is down there. Right now I just want to get it over with." she says, pausing and taking a deep breath. Her mood was much more serious now than before, and she wasn't smiling as much. "So. Stealth. Should be easy enough." she says, heading towards the edge of the platform. "No matter how deep it is, it doesn't matter. Despite how uncomfortable it might be, we don't really need to breath. I doubt it will come up to us, since it probably would've already done so by now." she says, diving into the water. Her metallic boots made her sink towards the bottom quickly, but it was hard to see in the darkness.

Apache intently listens to the other gem, for the most part unsmiling but nevertheless somewhat glad to see Vana regain some composure. What is more, she is finally fulfilling what a true member of her type of gem is made to do! This will show and prove to Homeworld that she is ore than just a defect. Nod and support. That should do it. "I see. I'll be right behind you..." Apache readied herself to jump into the depth as soon as Vana was out of sight. Then hesitates. The water was really dark and deep; what if the monster had been waiting for them all along? Or something worse? What if she cannot resurface? Now that she thinks about it, she never really entered the ocean before...
Just about when Apache started to consider stepping back then running in, a firm shove from behind causes her to flip head-over-heels into the unknown.
Vanadinite was not quite sure what to do next. She waited for the other gem, as it was pretty much her guide it this place. Apache had put us down here, and she better know what to do next. Vana could feel the presence of corruption lingering close to them. It was an uneasy feeling. Much like the feeling when she was experiencing that side. Better not think about it. As she has said many times now, she just wanted to get this over with.
The fact that it was so deep and dark, made her question whether going down here was a good idea or not. Aslong it's not a trap, they should be fine. Thankfully she didn't need to breath.

Fuscite looked up as two figures plunged into the depths. His helmet provided him with a fairly good amount of vision, but he kept out a Holo-Fuscite to help it out a bit more. The bright green shined brilliantly, greatly contrasting the darkness. The hologram was several steps in front of Fuscite, helping illuminate where the green gem would step next. As to why he was all the way down there? Well, he was hunting corrupted gems. That was one of the few things gems could do for fun on this planet. He didn't like corrupted gems, but they weren't the worst thing he'd faced. Still looking up, Fuscite stopped stepping and wondered if the two figures were corrupted gems, or if they weren't and were simply hostile. Suddenly, the green hologram in front of Fuscite dissipated, causing Fuscite to summon another one and summon his weapons. There was something else down here, and it was close. Fuscite glanced around, remembering why he wasn't a huge fan of water.
Apache tumbled head over heels for a while before managing to regain her balance and bearings. There was something anxiety-inducing about watching the light above slowly fade away, as if being totally submerged in water wasn't scary enough already. Not to mention how she did not have an actual plan outside of 'find the corrupted gem and make peace with it'. Things could go horribly wrong in an instant. If only Vana looked less clueless than her. She tried to call out for the other gem, but all that came out was a strangled noise as the surroundings grew darker. She was never going to set her foot in deep water ever again.
That was when she saw the figures underneath: one was emitting a green, unwavering light from their head and beside them was a pale green shape. In a few heartbeats, the other figure dissolved. There was the sudden flash of a blade. Apache choked on the water. There was another gem? Were they from Homeworld or the Crystal Gems? Were they the one sending all the gem creatures? She couldn't even defend herself when there was no sand at her feet. That was when the dark sensation of a strong corrupted gem nearby distracted her from the new visitor. Apache managed to spin around, hands empty, and faced the dark indigo gleam of the large beast lurking nearby.
This Roleplay is a prequel to Steven Universe to an extent with some slight retconing and its own progression to the story that will turn out differently to how stuff plays out in the show. Thanks to the message by Rose Quartz several gems are rising up to protect Earth and have labelled themselves as the Crystal Gems. Others on earth are remaining aligned to Homeworld though despite the isolation of Earth from Homeworld
All gems on earth are still stranded, the communication hub is still offline and all the space warps are shattered, it has now been revealed that this is the work of Rose Quartz and her small group known as the Crystal gems. They have rebelled against Homeworld and have chosen to protect the Earth (Trapping themselves on Homeworld to keep the warps down).
Now both sides are fighting among themselves along with fighting against the 'Corruption' a virus is infecting many gems turning most of them into mindless monsters, but those with a stronger will seem to becoming something more sinister.
The Game has changed now. The question has finally been posed, are you against Homeworld or allied with them. Or do you have your own agenda that may or may not been assisted by the ‘Corruption’. Regardless the seeds have been placed down and although it is only the beginning the fight for or against Earth and the corruption has begun. The choice is yours for how it is shaped on the Original Steven Universe Roleplay Site.
Orginal Opening Plot Here Thread That Changed Everything
Differances Between the Roleplay and the Show
*Thanks to Rose Quartz' message the Gems on Earth are entirely aware that the Homeworld Gems intend to wipe out the human race.
*The "corruption"'s Origin is still unknown, some suspect it was a viral infection, other claim it was a Diamond experiment gone awry and other suspect the organics were behind it. Regardless no one seem to have a proper answer about what it was and why its only isolated to Earth
*Garnet, Pearl and Rose are assumed capture on Homeworld
*Garnet,Pearl and Rose broke the space warps to delay Homeworld
*Thanks to Roses Message gems now know what the Kindergarten was used for
