Cold. It was always cold, and the water all around the Spire didn't help. After claiming his first victim he can remember, Spinel fell into a corrupt form. Most of his time was spent in the Kindergarten, until he decided it wasn't ideal. The large amount of monsters made it impossible to live there, as well as the injuries he sustained. He was damaged due to an acidic monster in the Kindergarten, leaving him with burns and marks all over his serpentine form.
Eventually, Spinel made found a warp pad to take him somewhere else, somewhere desolated from the Gems and Humans. He had chosen poorly. Not only was he afraid of water, but it was so cold here that Spinel almost found it unbearable. He slowly slithered to a pair of columns, and slithered around them, laying his marked head on the ground. He contemplated it, and decided that he was going to play it safe. If a Gem comes by, he will attempt to hide. If that fails, he will attempt to run. If that fails, he will pretend to be harmless, and if that failed, he would just fight. He was in no condition to fight, however.
He sat there, watching the warp pad. It hadn't occurred to him that if someone came out of the warp pad he would be immediately spotted, but he was tired, and, of course, cold. He couldn't be bothered to move.
Doesn't seem like it will get any better from this point of view. She didn't have much time on her hands left, but she had an idea. To simply enjoy her time left. A beam would light up the warp pad at the spire, only to reveal Vandanite as the beam dissapeared. She looked around herself, watching her surroundings, only to spot an interesting find. It was a..- a giant snake? She stepped forward carefully, her metallic heels hitting the ground only to make quite the noise for every step she took.
"Uhm-.. Hey there.." she said nervously, approaching a bit only to notice something. "Hey.. You're hurt.." she said in a sympathic tone, a sad expression on her face. "Who has done this to you? ..The nerve people have.. Why don't we fix you up? You seem to be in great pain.." she said, still keeping her distance.
As he laid there with his eyes closed, Spinel heard a quiet voice from nearby. He awoke to see a single Gem staring at him, asking if he was okay. She seemed to be sympathetic, and was keeping her distance, so he didn't mind her presence. He simply stared at her, waiting for her to make a move.
After an uneventful minute or so, Spinel simply closed his eyes. After all, he would hear if she tried to summon her weapon. He laid there, trying to sleep in order to heal himself, even if it would be just a little bit. All he wanted to do was be at peace until he was strong enough to get back into his uncorrupt form.

It was time to venture out and really get down to his quest! Mr. O had made the choice to start it out at the Sea Spire, the warp pad lighting up as... nothing ported in? No one in sight was standing there... until a laugh was heard, Mr. O was indeed standing their just in another dimension. "Ho ho ho ho! Whats this?" He spoke aloud, his voice ringing hollow and sounding like it was coming from two places at once, both in the same location oddly enough.
He spotted a single Gem that he never seen until now, and... a rather large corrupted Gem... what was going on here? The snake did looked like it was hurting... did the Gem do this? Why let her pray suffer like this? Well... he knows WHY but what could she get from the snake? "Tell me... why not finish your mark?" He asked as he grew closer to the Gems location, he still had yet to step out from his rift pocket but it wasn't hard to tell that he had gotten closer just from his voice.
Vanadinite sighs in relief. She was glad that it did not plan to attack her, and it made her get an idea. She slowly approached the serpent, making sure to not make any hasty moves. As she hears another gem warping, she decides to keep calm, this gem was in certain danger due to it's damaged form. She slowly turned around although staying at her spot. Making sure not to speak to loudly, she speaks in a calm tone. "And who are you exactly? Are you planning on hurting this guy?" she asked, raising an eyebrow with her arms crossed. She wasn't fond of people who hurt animals, especially if they were corrupted gems. It wasn't their fault they were in that state, and she knew herself that she'd do anything to protect them.
Slightly annoyed, Spinel opened his eyes once more, having heard another voice. The female-formed Gem was closer now, though she still seemed to have no malicious intent, something he does not yet know how to get rid of. Then the second voice seems to be somewhere else entirely. He cared little, and stayed in his pillars.
Something that peaked Spinel's curiosity, however, was that the female Gem seemed to actually care about him, even if it might just be mild curiosity. He slowly moved himself, his body slithering off to another area. He wasn't leaving the two Gems nearby, nor the temple, he was just moving himself to show that he cared little of their appearance here.
As he moved, it was clear that his body was a little bit over half the size of a bus, and he held his head as at about 8 feet off the ground. He ended up situating himself at somehow warmer pillars that were closer to the female-formed Gem than the last two he was at, though he didn't mind. His paranoia was slightly peaking, but he was too tired to care that much.

"Me? I thought YOU had been the one to put it in said state! So that means you found it like this... so your protecting it then? Interesting..." He clicks his cane off the ground as he slides out from his rift pocket, which looked like he stepped out from a light blue blur. The tall Gem held a bright smile painted across his face, with rather wide open bright white eyes.
His suit and hat spoke for itself, he watches the snake move slightly closer to the gem and thinks for a moment, he has not moved any closer to the female gem. What was happening before him just seemed interesting... did she know the corrupt gem before this happen? He had no intention of causing anyone there pain... unless givin cause to do so of course! "Oh yes! My name... you may call me, Mr. O! I would normally make a riddle out of this but... with that snake rather close... best to stay on guard." He said leaning on his cane a bit.
Vanadinite frowned. "Yes, You're right, I'm protecting it." she said, looking at the gem. "Mr. O? Sounds rather shady, but alright. You don't suppose you have some healing water? This guy has probably seen better days." she said, hinting towards the serpent. Vana turned around to watch it had moved closer. The way it was behaving was suggesting it was either wounded or perhaps just tired, even both.
Vana had seen corrupted gems much more wild than this, infact this is one of the few that she had seen that were actually calm. The CRF had shown her alot of information about the corruption, and she was almost sure that this was one of the stages where the corrupted form was only temporary.
A simple, light hiss was how Spinel responded to this "Mr. O" stepping out of nowhere. It wasn't an aggressive hiss, but more of just the noise snakes tend to make. These two intrigued Spinel, and he wanted to know more about them. He laid his head down, somehow looking accepting of their presence here. He began to examine the two more closely, watching the blue one more closely, the one who called himself Mr. O.
"What a strange name for a Gem." He thought. He liked that he was at least somewhat feared in this form, his old friend Peanut's fear didn't count to him. He then turned to the female-formed one. From what he could tell, she was compassionate and caring, qualities that get you killed. Though she had those sad qualities, he wasn't going to be the one to abuse those qualities. (Not yet, at least) He closed his eyes once more, waiting for the two in front of him to act.

Nodding his head in agreement to the female gem, she was caring which... isnt a bad thing just... something that is best used lightly. "Healing water? No... to what I THINK I know though... if this creature is stuck in this form, is it not a lost cause?" His voice still sounded hollow but more ease to focus on. He didn't mean what he said in a bad way but if this corrupted gem was stuck like this then the best thing to do would be to end it right?
As the snake hissed seemingly at him he looking the snake over a bit, his bright white eyes making it hard to see what he was looking directly at. He spun his cane around for a moment before taking a few steps closer to the gem and the snake, his eyes not leaving the snake, "We could wait it out... maybe it is just trying to recover its power to change back? OR It could be waiting to eat us... 50/50 this could turn out well, oh ho ho ho ho!" He laughed looking the snake over still, with a grin painted across his face still.
Vanadinite raised an eyebrow whilst watching the serpent move. "Although yes, the last stages of corruption are a lost cause, this guy seems way too tame." she says, putting on a more serious face. "Either he's a recent that's still turnable, or just waiting for a good moment to attack us." she says, crossing her arms. The way the serpent looked at her.. it gave her determination. She spotted his gem. A shock went through her body, like chills down her spine, but she was not sure why. It was something about that gem that made her uneasy.
"There's no reason for him to turn back actually. He seems to be fully conscious, and should be capeable of talk. Then again, he might be mute, although I doubt that." she says, sighing. She looked towards the sky with sore eyes. Old eyes. She held onto her throat, where the gem was located under the sweater.

Mr. O was impressed at how much this Gem knew of the corruption, he turned his head away from the snake to look at the gem, "So... there is no positive out-come here then? Since you dont want anyone to harm said snake why not... leave? Yes?" Mr. O didn't like the fact the they were both waiting for this creature to attack them, it showed no signs of wanting to turn back really... yet not very eager to attack them.
This whole scene was throwing the tall gem off, "How about you give us a word or two huh? Big Boss guy?" He seemed to ask the snake, while he held his cane to his side he was more then ready for an attack if needed. Part of him wanted to give the snake a job with his cane... not yet thought! This... other gem would most likely not like him doing that, "By the way! What is your name, my dear?" Mr. O asked not taking his bright white eyes off from the snake.
Spinel kept his eyes closed, listening to the two discuss him. A light "Tss" escaped from his mouth due to his tongue. He decided to move once more, this time getting even closer. Almost too close to him. His head rose, he slithered slightly closer, and a quiet chuckle left his throat.
"No positive outcome?" He asked, his serpentine body rising to it's normal 8 feet tall. "You might want to try looking at it from a different angle." His voice was low, just how you'd expect a snake to speak, although he never exaggerated his S's. He then turned, slowly moving back to his pillars, before addressing the female-formed Gem.
The way Spinel moved indicated that he was badly injured, though he seemed not to notice it much. A large sigh left him as he laid his head down once more, getting comfortable. "So, tell me, why didn't either of you try to kill me once you came upon me?"
Vanadinite was glad to finally hear it speak. Her face was filled with a happy expression. "I'm glad you can speak." she said, giggling quietly. "Ofcourse I wouldn't hurt an adorable little- well, big, snakey!" she laughed, although not in overboard. "There's obviously no reason to fight you. Infact, I find the whole concept of violence very silly." she continued. She stopped talking, and got a clueless expression on her face. "Why exactly are you still in your corrupted form?" she asked, raising an eyebrow. "By the way, you can call me Vana for reference."
As to make sure nobody else except the three of them, she observed her surroundings casually, making sure to not miss anything. She was glad that she was talking to people, it was a good feeling.

Mr. O sighed after being ignored by the female gem... this did bother him but he let it slide for once, this gem seemed far too kind for her own good. He waited for her to finish speaking to the snake before looking the snake over again, not being to quick to say anything just yet.
The snake spoke which was a good sign maybe... but it looked weak so fighting isn't its goal here, "I thought this... other gem... had hunted you or fought with you." He spoke pointing out a long finger towards the female gem, spinning his finger clockwise before speaking again, "It would have been rude for me to just step in and steal ones pray!" He said with a smile looking at the snake... he was starting to wonder if the snake COULD even fight.

This Roleplay is a prequel to Steven Universe to an extent with some slight retconing and its own progression to the story that will turn out differently to how stuff plays out in the show. Thanks to the message by Rose Quartz several gems are rising up to protect Earth and have labelled themselves as the Crystal Gems. Others on earth are remaining aligned to Homeworld though despite the isolation of Earth from Homeworld
All gems on earth are still stranded, the communication hub is still offline and all the space warps are shattered, it has now been revealed that this is the work of Rose Quartz and her small group known as the Crystal gems. They have rebelled against Homeworld and have chosen to protect the Earth (Trapping themselves on Homeworld to keep the warps down).
Now both sides are fighting among themselves along with fighting against the 'Corruption' a virus is infecting many gems turning most of them into mindless monsters, but those with a stronger will seem to becoming something more sinister.
The Game has changed now. The question has finally been posed, are you against Homeworld or allied with them. Or do you have your own agenda that may or may not been assisted by the ‘Corruption’. Regardless the seeds have been placed down and although it is only the beginning the fight for or against Earth and the corruption has begun. The choice is yours for how it is shaped on the Original Steven Universe Roleplay Site.
Orginal Opening Plot Here Thread That Changed Everything
Differances Between the Roleplay and the Show
*Thanks to Rose Quartz' message the Gems on Earth are entirely aware that the Homeworld Gems intend to wipe out the human race.
*The "corruption"'s Origin is still unknown, some suspect it was a viral infection, other claim it was a Diamond experiment gone awry and other suspect the organics were behind it. Regardless no one seem to have a proper answer about what it was and why its only isolated to Earth
*Garnet, Pearl and Rose are assumed capture on Homeworld
*Garnet,Pearl and Rose broke the space warps to delay Homeworld
*Thanks to Roses Message gems now know what the Kindergarten was used for
