"Ah." replied Spinel. He chuckled at the blue one's words. "Yes, I know that I would get offended if someone stole my pray. However, it was not her who plied weapons against me. It was a corrupt in the Kindergarten, one made entirely out of acid. I killed it, but it was a pyrrhic victory, as you might notice."
Spinel turned to the female formed Gem. "Very well then, Vana. I've had a bit of trouble with that recently. Besides that, I am more durable in this form. Even if I could, if I tried to switch back now, I would be forced to retreat into my Gem." The conversation at hand was cooling Spinel's bloodlust. Soon, he would be able to regenerate to his human form, healing himself in the process.
Vanadinite kept her smile up. "How long have you been corrupted exactly?" she asked. "An aquaintance of mine recently became corrupted, but never showed signs of the early stages. Is the corruption's control perhaps based on one's determination and will?" she pondered over this question, having never actually been sure. "Maybe that's the reason of corruption. Doubt, fear. Anger, Sadness. ..Pride." she said calmly, her pupils turning from an orange color into a more glowing red. "And without enough will power, the emotions will take over.. changing the body into a beast made up of emotion and instinct." she continued, although her words were very calm. Like she was drifting away in her thoughts, her pupils became redder over time.
"But I suppose that's only my take on it." she said, watching the sky.

The tall white eyed blue gem nodded his head with a smile as he was happy to hear the snake agree with him about it being rude to steal ones pray. He thought about what he had said, fighting an acid throwing corrupt gem out in the kindergarten... yes that could cause some damage.
He turned his head and watched as the female gem spoke about the corruption that effected gems, at lest what she knew of it. It was good information to have as she seemed to have a good idea of how the corrupt might spread, this was all something to keep in mind of course. As she finish he smiled towards her, taking a few moments to look at her oddly glowing eyes. It reminded him of his own glowing white eyes but something was off... this gem was hiding something behind those eyes.
"So! Once you rest enough you can return your your normal gem projection then? Yes?" He asked the snake before getting an idea, "I don't think you ever said your name? Im sure we could keep calling you snake if you like." He said with a light chuckle.
Spinel listened, mesmerized, as the female-formed one, Vana, spoke on her ideas of corruption. "That's a good hypothesis, but I wouldn't know." He said, his eyes closed once more. "Nobody really knows. Even I don't know, as a large portion of my memories have been lost to time. I cannot remember my corruption." He then began addressing the blue one's questions. "I am not sure about that. I might be able to change back once healed, but I won't know until I try."
Once asked about his name, Spinel sighed a bit. "Corruption makes one do strange, stupid things." He said, acting as though remorseful of his previous murderous action. "I am Spinel." The reason for stating the previous thing was due to him leaving a note, along with the shards of a dead Gem, in the Temple, just in case they had read or seen it. He needed them to believe it was an accident if they knew of the incident.
Vanadinite frowned. "Hm, memory loss. That sounds like a very depressing story, first getting corrupted and then not remembering who you were." she said, only to notice this strange Mr O yet again. "Hm..?" she gave off a questioning noise, her eyes stopping the glow and the pupils returning to the original orange color. She takes a pause, taking a long time to breath in, and out. "Spinel, huh. Well, it sure was nice meeting you for a change." she said, making an expression that really showed how she was filled with thoughts.
She knew what she had to do next. There was no reason going back to the CRF. She rose an eyebrow. "Corruption makes someone do strange, and stupid things you said. What are these things? Have you done something you regret?" she questioned Spinel, her eyes starting to faintly glow once again, like it was some sort of expression with her eyes that she was doing but she wasn't aware of.

The tall gem glanced back and forth between Vana and the snake calling himself Spinel... well it would be hard to notice that he was shifting his eyes from one to another seeing as both his eyes were just bright white lights pretty much. This corrupt gem was interesting to speak with... the only corrupt gems he saw before this were mindless beasts that were begging him to put an end to their horrid life.
As the female gem started asking about Spinels past action as a corrupted gem he had to give off a light light, "Oh-hohoho! My isnt that rather rude? Digging into his past like that... why not talk about something more... fun?" He gave a pause and raised his free hand to his chin as he thought, "Oh! How about a riddle!? What is yours... but others use more then you?!" He asked as he clapped his hands together a few times out of joy.
"That I have." Spinel said in reply to Vana. The serpent's mouth opened, about to tell this Vana of his actions, and pretend to be regretful, but the blue one stopped him, giving a riddle. "Hmm..." Spinel forced out, pondering what the answer would be. "What's yours, but others use more than you..." He repeated the question quietly a couple times, until his head rose in a moment a brilliance. "Your name! It's your name!" He said, laughing. He lowered his head once more, still chuckling slightly.
"Ooh, we had a few riddles in China as well!" Spinel cleared his throat. "I can follow you for thousands of miles and not miss home. I do not fear cold or fire, and I desire neither food nor drink. But I disappear when the sun sets behind the western mountains. Who am I?"
Vanadinite pondered over the riddle, only to hear Spinel answer first. She giggled softly to herself, being glad that everyone was having a good time. She listened, watching the riddling take place. She wasn't good with riddles, she never was. They frustererated her, and she was glad that she wasn't the one who was given the riddle.
She rose an eyebrow at the thought over that Spinel had dodged her question, although that might've been a coincidence considering the edgy Mr O asked him a riddle. And that look Mr O gave her. She had confronted him about it, but he didn't say anything. Was there something wrong with her? She couldn't think about any reason to stare on her. However, she was getting a weird vibe from everyone she talked to. Everyone always stared weirdly into her eyes.

Mr. O gave another joyful round of clapping when Spinel had gotten his riddle right, "Oh my! So fast! How enjoyable." He said giving Vana another look... she looked like she may not have enjoyed riddles so Opalite was going to take it on himself to try and solve the riddle that Spinel had put forward, "I can follow you for thousands of miles and not miss home. I do not fear cold or fire, and I desire neither food nor drink. But I disappear when the sun sets behind the western mountains. Who am I?"
This was a good one... Mr. O swong his cane around a few times as he looked up into the sky as he put some thought into this, "Hmm... this is a good one... I want to say shadow but.... it could be easier then that..." He gave his reply hoping he was right, he gave another glance to Vana and gave her a smile, "You have lovely human like eyes!" He said as he pointed at one of his own bright white solid eyes.
The purple serpent smiled. "Very good!" He sighed loudly, and decided to move once more. This time, moving away from the two that accompanied him. After moving around for a couple of seconds, he found a few pillars that had collapsed on each other, leaving a rather large slab atop them all. Spinel slowly moved up to the top, and coiled himself up on the slab. He took another sigh, as this slab was warm and comfortable to him.
After sitting still for a minute, he heard the blue one say "You have lovely human like eyes!" Spinel found this odd, and rather off-topic. He looked down to the other one, Vana, and saw what Mr. O was talking about. The eyes were rather strange, not in the way they looked, but in what they gave off. He got a strange feeling from looking into them, but quickly let it subside. "I agree." He said flatly.
Vanadinite's body went into a frozen like state for a second after Mr. O had told her about her eyes. "Oh no." she said, like it was her last words. A second passed before she quickly backed away towards one of the pillars. The pillar fell down onto the ground, and quickly turned into a dust-like state where it crawled on the ground, only to fire up multiple pillars over the entire area. The pillars extended branches like trees, and the ground below started feeling like quicksand, although dragging stuff down forcefully.
Vana's eyes were completely red by this point, and she seemed to be in a sleep-walking state, because she was standing up, but not moving. The "branches" that were growing out of the pillars were heading towards both Spinel and Mr. O, although they were not sharp, the force they were bringing could be quite painful. Whatever the thing was that was terraforming the area, it didn't seem to be touching Vanadinite. Rather, it was protecting her it seemed.

Mr. O was rather enjoying the fact at how civil things are going! Mostly because of the fact that the single corrupt gem that was here seemed to be calm and quiet interesting. This other gem was also something to be known... a very nice gem. While its not ideal to be so kind ALL of the time, it was rather refreshing. After taking a moment to watch as Spinel moved about to another pillar slightly farther from the two.
Turning to look at Vana as she seemed to be having some kind of break down, "Oh my... are you ok dear?" He asked rather quickly as she backed up into a pillar causing it to fall over and... turn to dust? "Oh my... she isn't ok..." Quickly looked towards the snake he got any idea, as the other pillars started to form and branch out. Mr. O takes off in a mad dash towards Spinel, "Hold on tight!" He called out starting to feel the quicksand trying to take hold of his boots. Getting covered in quicksand? No... the tall gem would rather take a sword to his back then get covered in some kind of mucky sand.
Jumping up to avoid the sand his goal was to land on top of Spinel the best he could without hurting him too much, if Spinel had not moved away at the moment of him landing Mr. O shifted into his rift bringing the corrupt gem with him. If he was in the other dimension with Mr. O he would notice everything covered in a light blue tint with void energies whipping all over the place. "Oh-hohohohoho!" His laughing heard in both dimensions, "Welcome Spinel! Now... how can we deal with that?" He spoke clapping joyfully, the void energies of this dimension would most likely be pushing on Spinel making him feel the pressures but if anything a minor bother.
Spinel had closed his eyes once again, (It seems to be his favorite thing to do while he's hurt), only to find that when he opened them, everything was going wrong. "Oh my... are you okay dear?" Spinel tilted his head out of complete bafflement. 'Nooo, clearly, she's PERFECTLY fine!' he thought to himself. "Oh my... she isn't ok..."
Spinel sighed loudly, and watched the scene unfold. "Hold on tight!" Spinel's eyes widened, and he looked angry. He clearly didn't like the idea of being rode like a horse. Before he could move or speak, however, the blue one had pulled them into some strange place. He figured that it was the same place that the blue one has stepped out of once arriving. "Welcome Spinel! Now... how can we deal with that?" Spinel looked to see everything had a light blue tint, though he didn't mind much. "Hmm..." he pondered. "I know nothing of this. We could always try pushing her into the water?"
The quicksand had stopped, and the stone pillars and branches were now glitching into dust and then back to their solid form. The branches extended and reduced in size, like it somehow was fighting itself. Vanadinite did not seem to be talking, nor moving any soon, as she remained in her standing position. Not only were the pillars glitching, but Vana's own form was also glitching out. As she started glitching, she could start moving again, and she seemed to be struggling with moving at all.
She seemed to be mumbling a few words to herself. Struggling, she raised her right hand, and four small stone platforms covered her in a small space, like a tent. She was now in almost complete darkness, her own eyes acting like a light. She was going to try and regain her senses, and perhaps even calm down. However, she wasn't sure on how to stop the pillars outside.

Taking his time to step off from the large snake and fixing his tux a bit more before turning and looking at the female gem... "I dont know if pushing her will work... we could run..." He said spinning his cane around a few times before stopping and watching her form and other things glitching out all at once. Then being covered in stone platforms, "Hm... things to do, things to do... this is growing tiresome.." He mumbles outloud before turning back to the snake.
"Hmm... Let me see if I can talk to her! You staaaaay right there!" He said taking a step back with a large grin across his eerie face, his forming vanishing in a blur leaving Spinel trapped in the rift plane. He then steps out backwards from a blue blur in the material plane. Turning over to where Vana was trapped he waved his hand in the air waving, "HELLO OVER THERE! ARE YOU OK?!" He called out loudly, when his voice got loud it was easier to tell that it sounded like two voices speaking at once, in both planes. He started to work his way over to where Vana was hiding inside the stone walls, walking over the sand slowly trying not to get covered in sand, "This could turn out badly... should be fun!" He thought as he grew closer to the small tomb that Vana was in.

This Roleplay is a prequel to Steven Universe to an extent with some slight retconing and its own progression to the story that will turn out differently to how stuff plays out in the show. Thanks to the message by Rose Quartz several gems are rising up to protect Earth and have labelled themselves as the Crystal Gems. Others on earth are remaining aligned to Homeworld though despite the isolation of Earth from Homeworld
All gems on earth are still stranded, the communication hub is still offline and all the space warps are shattered, it has now been revealed that this is the work of Rose Quartz and her small group known as the Crystal gems. They have rebelled against Homeworld and have chosen to protect the Earth (Trapping themselves on Homeworld to keep the warps down).
Now both sides are fighting among themselves along with fighting against the 'Corruption' a virus is infecting many gems turning most of them into mindless monsters, but those with a stronger will seem to becoming something more sinister.
The Game has changed now. The question has finally been posed, are you against Homeworld or allied with them. Or do you have your own agenda that may or may not been assisted by the ‘Corruption’. Regardless the seeds have been placed down and although it is only the beginning the fight for or against Earth and the corruption has begun. The choice is yours for how it is shaped on the Original Steven Universe Roleplay Site.
