Zircon regenerated, his gem coming out from under the dust, where it had lied for around a year. He regenerated, still wearing his blue Homeworld uniform, with the Yellow Diamond on it. "W-Where am I..?" He said, looking around. He was in a dark canyon, but he could still see the sky. It was probably only dark because of the dark gray clouds above. He brushed himself off, as if there was still dust on him. He began walking around, until his memories came flooding back to him. "Earth.. I'm on Earth.." He said with a sudden realization. "They forgot me! I need to send them a message.. Or find a warp pad, or both!" He said, with a worried tone. He began pacing, wondering where he could do either of these things on a primitive planet like Earth.
Zircon began walking towards Beach City after locating a warp pad there on his tech visor thingy. He felt a bit happier now, but he still needed to send a message to Yellow Diamond to.. He would figure it out later, right now, he needed to find wherever this warp pad was- Until he remembered the warp pass from here to Homeworld are broken. "Gah! I hate this stupid planet!" He said picking up a rock and tossing it at the canyon walls. He continued to walk towards 'Beach City' anyways. Maybe there was another Homeworld Gem there.. If not? Well, then it was plan B. Find somewhere to send a message to Homeworld. If that didn't work though? He was completely out of ideas.
Vanadinite was exploring the outskirts of Beach City like usual. She always loved exploring, mostly in hope of finding perhaps a friend or two. Or even someone in need of help. She stopped at the canyon, looking down the rock erosion. She usually came around these parts, in case of someone would fall down.
She heard a faint voice. "Gah! I hate this stupid planet!" Only to hear the gem throwing rocks at the rock walls. She laughed a bit to herself, glad that she might've found a new friend. "Hey, do you need any help up the canyon?" she asked, waving towards the gem. She had a happy expression, constantly wearing a faint smile. Vanadinite thought this was a great opportunity.
He jumped a bit, startled by the voice. "Uh, yeah.. Any idea where a warp pad could be? One that works that is.." Zircon had a Yellow Diamond symbol on his Homeworld Uniform. "Wait.. You're a Homeworld Gem, right?" He said, sorta cautious of this gem. "Oh, and don't worry about me getting back up to the surface." He said. Zircon stared at the gem, waiting for a reply. Zircon was ready to summon his weapon if need be, but this gem seemed to be pretty happy- as if she wasn't capable of harming people. Still, Zircon stayed cautious of her. He crossed his arms, waiting for a reply from the happy gem. (Btw, some stuff is about to go down with a few other gems.)
Vanadinite laughed faintly. "I'm the Peacekeeper. Although I prefer the name Vana, I'm glad to meet you." she said, keeping up her smile. "I can guide you to the nearest warp pad. I'm assuming by the looks of your uniform that you're part of the Homeworld?" she asked, raising an eyebrow. She didn't do any hostile nor aggresive actions, and tried to look as friendly as possible. She stared a bit into the canyon for a few seconds, only to speak once again. "Well, what are you waiting for? Come up here, there aren't any warp pads down there. Atleast to my knowledge." she said, following with a questioning hum.
She knew the area quite well, but she knew that there were alot of secret warps here and there. But that was the reason exploring was fun, to find new locations and discover secrets that she hadn't heard of before.
Zircon uncrossed his arms, and then started jumping up the canyon wall. Once to the ledge, he grabbed on, and pulled himself up. "My name is Zircon. Nice to meet you.. Vana." He said. "And yeah, I'm part of Homeworld. You uh, you don't have a problem with Homeworld Gems, right..? Never mind. Anyways, lead the way." He said, dusting himself off. He waited for her to start moving. In the meantime, he stared at the dark clouds above. A few minutes later, it started raining. Not very hard, as of right now. More just sprinkling. "Oh, my favorite Earth weather.." He said, rain falling onto his arms, hair, and the rest of his body. He stretched his arms in a circle, and continued waiting.
Vanadinite giggled softly. "I don't have a problem with anyone. I think everyone should be given a chance." she says, smiling. However, her happy tone cut off and she got an serious expression. Her pupils turned into a darker red and her eyes gave off a red mist. "That is ofcourse, aslong they don't hurt someone else." she said, a much more serious tone than her usual happy tone.
However, she quickly returned into her happy expression, her eyes turning back to normal. "I'm glad to meet you, Zircon." she said, softly laughing. "Say, how'd you get down there?" she asked, raising an eyebrow. She didn't mind the rain, she thought the cold water gave off a nice feeling, quite different from the warm usual feeling she has. "Your favorite weather, huh? How long have you been on Earth?" she asked, looking towards the sky at the dark clouds.
"If my memories are right, I was being chased by a corrupt gem, when I came to this canyon. I had no time to summon my weapon before I tripped and slid down the canyon wall. It followed my down, and when I was trying to get up, it clawed me in the back. Then I poofed. As for long I've been here..? What year is it here on Earth." He said, as lightning struck behind him in the canyon and thunder rumbled in the sky afterwards. The rain started coming down a bit harder now, making the dirt into mud, and making the rocks slippery. Zircon still didn't seem to mind the rain. He cracked his neck, and then continued waiting.
"We're in the 21th century, I believe. I don't really hold count for the years passing by, it's not important to me." she said, smiling. "Corrupted gem you say? Do you remember how it looked like?" she asked, watching the lightning strike. She jumped a bit from the sound it made, shaking her head from the displeasure of the high volume, she hated high volumes.
She mumbled a few words to herself, barely audible due to the rain. "..I wonder why he hasn't shown up yet.." she mumbled in a quiet tone. She sighed, as she looked once again right into the sky towards the dark clouds, her pupils turning red and her eyes as a whole starting to glow a red shade.
"No idea." He simply replied. He looked at her eyes which started glowing a shade of red. "Er.. Are you uh.. Okay?" He said. He was still cautious of the gem, and now he was even more so. He got the feeling that this was some sorta trap, but he didn't say anything about it.
Lightning struck in the sky, and thunder followed. This happened a few times, the rain coming down even harder. He looked around at the rain, which coming down as hard as it did, stung his skin just a little bit. He didn't notice that until later. Lightning continued striking rapidly in 20 second intervals, each bolt followed by thunder, sometimes loud, sometimes a bit quieter.
Vanadinite flinched at each thunderbolt that striked down. However, she was getting used to the noise. The raindrops started getting harder the more it rained, but it didn't feel all that bad, infact it felt quite nice. Vanadinite gave off a worried look when she spotted the gem staring at her eyes. "What is it? Is there something wrong?" she asks cluelessy, her eyes glowing even brighter. The white was almost completely drained from it's color, being covered by the red glow. She didn't seem to notice it however, as it didn't affect her vision what so ever. She was worried on what was happening, perhaps there was something behind her that he had spotted? No, that couldn't be the case. She would've sensed the creature if that was the case, but then again, all this rain and thunder was distracting her.
"Your eyes are red and glowing. That doesn't seem healthy." Zircon remarked. He had no idea if that was normal to some people here, but to him it was alien. Like it had been the past few minutes, the rain came down harder. Lightning and thunder constantly happened, in shorter intervals. It sounded like thunder was clapping along to music. Except much louder. Zircon didn't mind the stinging of the rain that much.
"Wow, it's really raining hard now. Hope that those humans are insi-" He stopped himself when he realized he was feeling sympathetic to the humans. That had never happened before, but he decided to ignore it. He waited for a reply from Vana, looking at the dark clouds above, raindrops falling onto his tech visor.
As Zircon mentioned her eyes, she had a flashback. A not very nice flashback. Her form glitched out, much like the effect when touching a gem cell door, however there was obviously no cell doors around. No.. Not this time.. Not now.. she was confronting herself inside of her mind. Her body become so distorted, it was hard to make out what it actually was, only for it to return back to normal again. She fell down onto the ground, coughing and panting, using her arms to hold half of her body up from the muddy ground.
"..." Vana coughed.
"..." She coughed harder.
"..Ungh." the coughing stopped, and she went into a kneeling position. "Phew.. That sure was close." she said, sighing, only to look onto her surroundings quickly. "Yeah, I also hope the humans are safe." she says, a happy expression on her face, revealing a faint smile like she completely disregarded what had just happened to her. She managed to stand back up.
"I'll uh.. Ask about that later." He said, sorta confused. He would've helped her up, but he doesn't really trust random gems he meets on the street. He looked at her, sorta suspicious of her 'happiness' now. Was she just faking it? Hiding something dark inside, and making others, making herself think she's okay? If she was, it wasn't working. Zircon saw through that mask. He decided to ignore it for now, like he did with a lot of things. But he knew eventually, her mask would shatter, and reveal the darkness inside. Lightning lit up the cloudy grey sky like strobe lights for a minute or two. He waited for her to fully recover from that uh.. Experience? He didn't exactly know what to call it.
"There's so many thoughts filling you right now.. I can see it in your eyes.." she says in a worringly tone. "The eyes of hesitation." she said, pausing "You don't suppose there's something you want to talk about?" she asked, keeping her happy expression. She had learned that looking into people's eyes really told her what a person was experiencing. Although Vana knew that whilst many has a hard time lying with their eyes, it was indeed possible. Very possible.
"Well, we were supposed to find a warp pad for you, weren't we?" she asked, getting ready to move. "I can still show you the way if that's what you're looking for." she reassured him, wondering why they were still standing here.
Melody: how are you doing? Are you going to make a character in here?

This Roleplay is a prequel to Steven Universe to an extent with some slight retconing and its own progression to the story that will turn out differently to how stuff plays out in the show. Thanks to the message by Rose Quartz several gems are rising up to protect Earth and have labelled themselves as the Crystal Gems. Others on earth are remaining aligned to Homeworld though despite the isolation of Earth from Homeworld
All gems on earth are still stranded, the communication hub is still offline and all the space warps are shattered, it has now been revealed that this is the work of Rose Quartz and her small group known as the Crystal gems. They have rebelled against Homeworld and have chosen to protect the Earth (Trapping themselves on Homeworld to keep the warps down).
Now both sides are fighting among themselves along with fighting against the 'Corruption' a virus is infecting many gems turning most of them into mindless monsters, but those with a stronger will seem to becoming something more sinister.
The Game has changed now. The question has finally been posed, are you against Homeworld or allied with them. Or do you have your own agenda that may or may not been assisted by the ‘Corruption’. Regardless the seeds have been placed down and although it is only the beginning the fight for or against Earth and the corruption has begun. The choice is yours for how it is shaped on the Original Steven Universe Roleplay Site.

*Garnet, Pearl and Rose are assumed capture on Homeworld
*Garnet,Pearl and Rose broke the space warps to delay Homeworld
*Thanks to Roses Message gems now know what the Kindergarten was used for
