Name: 'Danny'
Appeared Gender: Male
Appeared Age:
Mid-20's
Gemstone:
Star Sapphire
Gemstone Location: On the front and center of his neck
Corrupted: No.
Appearance: Danny is 6'7" and is pale blue, his teal hair being in an odd pompadour state at all times, he also has a decent pair of sideburns. Danny's always worn human clothing, it's how he was raised to be honest and he always wears a pair of sunglasses, always. He's usually seen wearing a fitted white leather jacket with a skull being electrocuted with X's for eyes on the mid-back and the words 'LIVE WIRE' across the upper-back. And shooting stars going down each sleeve. He also wears any shirt he can find under the jacket, Danny also rocks a used pair of denim slacks and a brown pair of hiking boots. Depending on the situation and where he's at, he can be seen donning a 4-set of metallic rings for each hand, a ring for each finger except for the thumbs.
Oddly enough, nobody knows what his eyes look like.
Personality: Danny seems to be really relaxed, like the type of guy who wouldn't bat an eye to a problem in the world unless it came his way. This, surprisingly, is pretty much mostly true. He won't help someone unless he knows them, and even then his full effort isn't invested into the matter, he dodges around and distracts the enemy so his friend(s) can escape before he bolts, himself. A pretty happy guy, it's not common to see him mad, let alone upset about anything. But given past experiences, negative emotions usual spell bad news for anyone around him, including allies. When angry, it's best to let Danny wear himself out and calm down on his own terms. Danny also appears to be a massive fan of classic rock.
Likes/Dislikes: Danny doesn't enjoy a lot, but he likes classic rock, electronics, lazing around
, and energy drinks. What he doesn't enjoy, however, is the ocean, water in general, dealing with gem weapons, battles that would be considered tedious for him, and taking projectiles.
Fears:
Danny fears what would happen if he had to regenerate whilst completely used up.
Weapon: Danny, unfortunately, cannot summon a weapon. In the two centuries he's been alive, he's never been able to summon it once. This upsets Danny, as anyone who can conjure up their odd weapons usually have some degree of an advantage over him. But to spoil it outright, his weapon is either a kukri knife or a pair of nun-chucks that.
Ability 1: Danny can control electricity, this allows him to fry electronics and shock his enemies. However, the overall weakness has proven to be a fatal flaw in the past, as Danny cannot expose himself to water as not only will it shock anything in the water, or close enough to him in the water. He loses the ability to sustain his physical form, the second part happens regardless when Danny runs out of energy. Meaning Danny has to absorb electricity each time he uses his power. He stores enough energy for his next three fights, there's certainly a limit. But he exerts so much that it's unlikely he'd ever use it. And in terms of the extent of damage his electrical currents are to gems, I image it like being hit with a rubber bullet (the ammunition used in riot control), though it's something I'd have to talk out with another member should it come down to an actual in-character battle.
Ability 2:
Danny's a speedster as well, he can run and move thrice as fast as a regular human at peak physical perfection. He uses this to throw blows at high speeds. However, if the blow is stopped hard enough, the whiplash could cause his arm to crumbled or snap off, depending on angles. In terms of speed, that also exerts electricity, he'll fatigue if he goes on for an hour of running, he'll get less time for running if he tries to run after using too much electricity. And Danny is able to stop on a dime, he just has to plan where he stops out, first. Stopping before hand requires distance to stop his momentum.
Fusions: N/A
History: Created by sheer accident in the late 1800's, Star Sapphire was discovered by a boy who happened to witness the event of his emergence by sheer accident. The boy fled, but Star Sapphire followed out of curiosity, mostly mindless and uneducated then. When he arrived at the farm the boy and his family lived at, the uneasy parents took him under their roof and gave him the human name of 'Daniel', and he would spend a year learning human mannerisms and then idea of morals, good choices, and working hard. As the years went on, the boy left home to make his own living and the farmer parents got older and Daniel had to take care of them and tend to the farm up until their deaths in 1910 and 1911. With nobody left at the farm, Daniel eventually left.
It wasn't until three whole years later that Danny's life would be altered by humans, as he joined the army to fight the good American fight in World War 1. Daniel was referred to by 'Dan' at this point, and had the heart to fight for the sake of fighting. He had been entirely unexposed to violence on any scale short of hunting or the times his adoptive father taught Dan to kick box to defend himself. He just felt as if this were the right direction to go in his life. And long story short, it was by far one of the single most emotionally and mentally scarring things he could've exposed himself to, but at the same time it helped him grow as it was during this point that he discovered his electricity powers whilst defending his comrades in a fox hole and his electricity powers accidentally helped stabilize a solider he was trying to move. Realizing he could do this helped in stabilizing soldiers for the rest of the war, avoiding the front for the rest of the 3 years.
After World War 1, Dan simply walked away. Nobody saw him for 25 years. Where he went was to train with French monks who could help him even his mind out after the war and possibly gain more control over his power, which was growing not only in strength, but in difficulty to manage as well after he discovered. It was at this point that he learned how to move in a much more swift manner, eventually mastering his power as a speedster when it came to running. However, doing this required him to recharge electricity so once he finally parted ways with the monks, he became consumed with need, and took up being a bandit in Paris, stealing electricity and money when he could. His run of Paris would be cut short a year later when the Germans invaded France, forcing him to flee the country, he would go back to his 'motherland' of America for the first time in 29 years.
Dan went into hiding for another 10 years, practicing in the shadows, he would eventually learn to electrify his own limbs and metallic objects to help him in fights, he took up wearing 4 rings on each hand and carrying a big wrench under a leather jacket he started wearing by this point, he would beat and rob anyone for a dollar, anything short of taking a life. He went on like this for some number of time until it was the year 1955, where he met a woman who happened to be the great-great granddaughter of the boy who had found Dan all those years ago, it was a jarring experience. He took to following her, acting as her bodyguard in Boston , defending her from any violent detractors. Even when she was wed, Dan always stayed close by. He felt obligated to watch over her and her family. She and her husband had a son, and the son took to calling Dan 'Danny', so he stuck with it for sentimental reasons. He was the uncle and he finally found a place where he belonged.
Beyond this point, Danny's life story is a complete mystery until he recently resurfaced in 2015. He refuses to talk about what happened to the family he once knew and why he came to Beach City in the first place, but that's where he lives now.
