Late in the afternoon, with the sunset just appearing on the horizon it seemed like the perfect opportunity for a romantic getaway or walk on the beach. So Amon took full use of that opportunity to lay face-down in the sand on the beach screaming in complete and total frustration and boredom, creeping out and scaring off all nearby humans. In his frustration he slammed the ground with his palm and burst out a mass of energy, blasting the sand aside before he stood up and screamed. "WHY WON'T ANY-ONE FIGHT ME!" After his loud outburst he fell to his knees on the sand. Slowly he looked around at the few humans around him, all of them being scared and afraid of him. The humans slowly started to back away as Amon gave them the look of a madman.
"You...you people can fight..." Amon slowly stood back up and started shakily shambling over to one of the humans, staring one of them down as the others ran away. "You...fight me..." He slid his sunglasses up on his head, revealing his eyes and giving a burning stare to the human. "FIGHT ME!" Amon raised his fist and delivered a punch next to the, now on the ground, human shattering the boardwalk and sending his fist straight through it. The human obviously ran away as Amon pulled his fist back out and laughed maniacally as his glasses slid themselves back down his face, covering his eyes again.
The slowly falling sun glistened over the waters that layed so closely to Beach City, (For obvious reasons) and for some reason, a large amount of the humans were gathered at the dock. Spinel made his was over towards the docks, looking to relax, and maybe watch some idiots accidentally sink their boat or something. However, as he got there, a Gem he hadn't ever seen before seemed to be bullying some humans, screaming about fighting.
"You...you people can fight..." "I wouldn't really consider it fighting if it was against one of us..." Spinel muttered. He watched as the seemingly insane Gem continued screaming about fighting. "And I thought I was crazy." He said audibly. "Look, bud, if you want to fight something, why don't you go to the Kindergarten? You can tussle with all the corrupt monsters you'd please, bud."
Though Spinel kept his cool, he knew that this Gem was going to either lash out at him or scream at him. Either way, Spinel readied himself to summon his khopesh, just in case he would need to defend himself against this sociopath.
Amon's head slowly turned to face the other gem. Walking up to him and sizing him up. Amon couldn't fight him, he knew that. He wasn't strong enough yet. This only furthered to annoy Amon, now getting increasingly frustrated at his own weakness. Amon was trying to find equal opponents to fight so he could improve himself and still win the fights. Amon was hot headed, bloodthirsty, loud and violent, but he wasn't stupid. He was an expert at picking fights so he knew when he could and couldn't win one ahead of time. "Kinder...garten? What is that like some sort of arena place I can duel gems?" Amon started noticing all of the humans now dispersing all around him. Amon turned his attention back to the gem in front of him. "Would you like to duel, sunshine?" Amon jeered, making fun of the gems darker colors and monotone voice.
A smile crossed Spinel's lips when the Gem in front of him began to step up to him, trying to look tough. "Kinder...garten? What is that like some sort of arena place I can duel gems?" "You're new here, aren't you?" Spinel summoned a chakram and began pointing the weapon at him. "You're not as dumb as you look, otherwise you would have already started your attack. Let me make something clear: If you're sizing up to me, you had better be damn well ready for a fight. If you're as smart as I think you are, you're going to sit yourself back down."
He made his chakram dissipate, and began to answer the Gem's questions. "Now then, you must be new here, because you would know about the Kindergarten if you had been here for a while. It's a place that used to make Gems, which has stopped production and became abandoned some time ago. However, there are remnants of what happened there, as corrupt Gems traverse it's ravines and mesas, wanting only to kill."
"Would you like to duel, sunshine?" "Whenever I fight, I finish what was started. Unless you want me to try to kill you, I wouldn't try to start a duel." Spinel watched as a bunch of humans were hiding in boats that lined the docks. "Now then, if you're going to go to the Kindergarten, I'd go soon. The ones that I can hardly keep up with come out at night."
Amon closely listened to the gem's explanation, smirking smugly as the gem pulled out his weapon and shot Amon a threat. "You're not as dumb as you look, otherwise you would have already started your attack. Let me make something clear: If you're sizing up to me, you had better be damn well ready for a fight. If you're as smart as I think you are, you're going to sit yourself back down." Amon flipped his glasses up and stared the gem down, seeing him put away his weapon. "You know, sunshine, threats are pointless when they're empty." Amon grinned and flicked his glasses back down over his eyes, folding his arms and listening once more.
"Now then, you must be new here, because you would know about the Kindergarten if you had been here for a while. It's a place that used to make Gems, which has stopped production and became abandoned some time ago. However, there are remnants of what happened there, as corrupt Gems traverse it's ravines and mesas, wanting only to kill." Amon nodded slowly.
"Now then, if you're going to go to the Kindergarten, I'd go soon. The ones that I can hardly keep up with come out at night."
"Oh, I wouldn't worry about me. Monsters are easy to fight. It's the gems you've gotta watch out for. Plus," Amon unfolded his arms and stared at the gem. "I got backup." He smiled. "Shame you're not into fighting for the fun of it. Guess I still can't cure this boredom."
For quite some time a war had raged inside Moissante as the young gem considered the logical approach to the situations before her. The war was between two equally appealing opportunities, caution or curiosity. Needless to say being so young her grasp on caution was somewhat skewed and there was just so much to see. So inevitably curiosity had won out. Besides the talking fleshy two-legged things were just so darn interesting that it was hard to resist, but she didn't want to risk disturbing them. So instead she merely observed from a distance.
Other gems, for she knew they had to be gems, Mr. O had proven to her that there were others like her out there, however didn't seem to at all have the same quandaries as she did. In fact to her surprise as she peaked out from behind her hiding rock, one said gem was currently going on what could only be described as a 'rampage' as he yelled and threatened what she thought appeared to be another gem. Blinking wide, pale innocent mirrored eyes she tilted her head slightly and observed the odd interaction before her.
"I suppose you can't." Spinel said, waiting for him to leave. He decided to take advantage of the situation, and look into Amon's past, fears, and personality, just in case he would need it later. 'Such a drab Gem.' He thought. 'It must be sad to live an existence revolving simply around fighting. At least, that's all he was able to see.
As he was about to delve into this man's past, he noticed someone standing and watching from a distance, though he couldn't tell who they were just yet. He decided to ignore them for the moment, but the Gem in front of him most likely saw him look over in Sanite's direction.
(OOC: So, does this take place before or after the thread at the Sky Spire or nah?)
Amon continued to stare at the gem before, noticing him stare away, Amon smiled and started laughing. He followed the gems stare to see another figure watching them, giving the figure a maniacally insane smile. "OI! oi oi oi!" Amon dashed over to the new figure, seeing it was another gem. Amon towered over the gem and glared down at her. "How about you?" Thanks to his seemingly unending boredom, Amon has started developing a lust for blood. So, now that a new gem appeared he found a fight he could pick. "I have crossed countless galaxies, defeated countless foes and conquered innumerable planets, only to arrive on this miserable rock. You can imagine my boredom and want for destruction! Can't you!?" Amon laughed, his arms slowly growing in size with each word. Even if this other gem didn't intend to fight, Amon was now fixated on the idea. Amon got serious for a moment, any smile instantly dissapearing from his face.
"If it means becoming the villain for this entire miserable rock, I will sure fight whoever I can to cure my boredom. Whoever I can win against. Ah well. Something has already been set in motion that will determine the fate of this rock. Something bigger than me, or any-one of you 'gems'. Warn your friends, something completely unprecedented is about go down."
Moissanite was so surprised at the sudden approach that she flailed, her foot catching a rock as she fell onto her butt with a thump. Looking up at the older gem she blinked in confusion at his words and tilted her head in curiosity as she watched the vast array of expressions that could cross his face. The sheer amount of expression and passion was truly simply fascinating and she almost forgot to pay attention to what exactly he was saying.
Fight? What was fighting? Was it fun? The other gem certainly seemed to think so. Digging her fingers into the sand she managed to get back to her feet offering Amon a brilliant smile. "Moissanite." She spoke pointing to herself as she tried to go through the proper introductions before pointing at Amon, waiting patiently with those big hopeful eyes for him to do the same.
The look of shock on Spinel's face when the Gem moved from him to the white and blue Gem. "I have crossed countless galaxies, defeated countless foes and conquered innumerable planets, only to arrive on this miserable rock. You can imagine my boredom and want for destruction! Can't you!?" "Jesus Christ, I'm a corrupt and yet I have a greater control over myself than you." Spinel said audibly.
As he looked between the two as Amon spoke about his accomplishments, all of which he found hard to believe, he saw noticed that the Gem was probably newly created, maybe was incubated too long in the Kindergarten. "Moissanite" Spinel sighed, and shook his head. This Gem was the equivalent of a child.
"You seriously aren't considering her for a candidate, are you? She probably came out of the Kindergarten late, and doesn't know anything but her own name. Why don't you find someone actually capable of taking you on?" Spinel wasn't sure that he would try to find someone capable of fighting him. The most likely scenario in Spinel's eyes was that this Gem would either start beating the crap out of this poor Gem or that he would start fighting Spinel himself, but there was no way to be sure what exactly would come from this. "If you truly do need a fight, find someone who can fight back."
"If you truly do need a fight, find someone who can fight back."
Amon looked back at him and smirked, shrugging off any input the gem had. With that, he turned his head and attention back to the gem before him. "So, you're new, huh? Tell me, how old are you, shrimp?" Amon smiled once more, crossing his arms. This time, his smile was less malicious. "All gems are born with the innate ability to summon a weapon and the knowledge to fight. But, if you really don't know any of it..." Amon started laughing cheerfully before becoming serious for a brief moment. "I could take you under my wing." Amon smiled rather joyfully now as he flipped up his glasses. This might just be the key he needed to cure his boredom. So he was not going to let this opportunity slip up.
How long had she been around? She remembered something about time being measured by the rotations of the sun and tried to recall how often she had seen the sunset. Glancing out over the ocean where the same gaseous ball of light was sinking below the horizon she pondered the question for a moment.
"Five days." She finally replied not even bothering to look at Amon as she was caught up in the beautiful colors the sky was beginning to turn over the ocean. True she had seen the sunset before, but not like this...it was breathtaking. At the mention of weapons though she slowly managed to drag her gaze away turning to look up at the gem looming over her once more.
"Weapon?" Moissanite asked with a curious tilt of her head as she frowned unsure what this 'weapon' was supposed to be. Was it some sort of tool? Maybe an ability of some sort? What was it used for? It clearly had something to do with the 'fighting' since he spoke of the two in context to the other.
"Five days." So young, whatever she could be would be wasted training with this one. "I wouldn't trust him if I were you, young one." He said, looking between her and Amon. "If you're going to learn from someone, learn from someone who's more than just a barbarian." Though Spinel is a corrupt monster, he's not completely far-gone. Sure, he's a bad guy, but he has his taboos. "I can't think of how a simple brute would train and condition someone who has great potential. It would be heart wrenching, not to mention the wasted potential."
"Weapon?" 'She really doesn't know anything.' he thought. "I swear, if you train under him, you will either regret it, or become too violent to care." Spinel smiled as he turned to the Industrial Diamond. "I'm sure I've aggravated you," He said with a chuckle. "You might actually be a force that wouldn't lose to me in just a few seconds when you're angry..." He said, pretending he was contemplating something. "Tell you what, since you now have a change, I'll give you that fight you want. Whaddaya say?"
A nagging thought began pulling at Spinel's mind: He was most definitely going soft. That would have to be dealt with later, but for now, he would go with it. He disliked this large Gem too much to let there be more like him.
(OOC: Spinel wasn't implying that Sanite should train under him, by the way. I realized it may seem that way, so I just sayin')
Amon smiled and started laughing. Barbarian? So he was a barbarian now? What a joke. "Barbarian? No." Amon's arms instantly grew to a ridiculous size. Using the burst from one he sent himself flying, and spinning straight towards Spinel. With the burst from his second arm he delivered a ground shattering blow. "I am no mere Barbarian. I am much stronger than that! I AM A WARRIOR!" Amon laughed and launched a barrage of punches. "You know, I didn't really want to fight you. The odds aren't really to my liking. But since you want some, I'll be happy to oblige." Amon stood and laughed proudly. "Just remember who put up such a good fight, spread word of my excellence when I bring you down!" Amon pointed at his opponent, shouting. With that, Amon got into a ready fighting stance, waiting for his opponents attack.
Moissanite reared back, taken aback at the sudden change from peaceful bantering to sudden motion as the other gem launched away from her showering her with sand. Not waiting to see what happened she leaped back behind her rock, peaking out over the edge in concern to see what was becoming of the two gems. What were they doing? Was this fighting? Would the dark purple gem be ok? Amon certainly looked to be strong, but the dark gem also seemed to talk a good game. She hoped they were bother capable. She wasn't sure of she had enough energy to heal both of them should something go too terribly wrong. It was moments like this that she missed the outlands. It was always so much quieter there. Perhaps her curiosity had gotten the better of her just a smidge this time.

They have rebelled against Homeworld and have chosen to protect the Earth (Trapping themselves on Homeworld to keep the warps down).
Now both sides are fighting among themselves along with fighting against the 'Corruption' a virus is infecting many gems turning most of them into mindless monsters, but those with a stronger will seem to becoming something more sinister.
The Game has changed now. The question has finally been posed, are you against Homeworld or allied with them. Or do you have your own agenda that may or may not been assisted by the ‘Corruption’.
