A smile escaped Spinel when he saw Amon prepare to punch him. He turned to the left and took a few steps in that direction. Since Amon was already in the air, he couldn't alter his course, and was forced to land where he first intended to. After that, Amon delivered a series of punches, which Spinel blocked easily, only one making it past his defenses, which was delivered straight to Spinel's face. Spinel smiled, as he could tell that Amon was only delivering punches for show in that barrage. "You're definitely stronger than I thought." Spinel taunted.
"Just remember who put up such a good fight, spread word of my excellence when I bring you down!" "Mmhm, sure. Oh, and don't worry. When I win, I won't tell others. Wouldn't want to pop that bloated ego of yours, now would we?" He said, before charging and throwing a few chakrams at the Industrial Diamond to distract him, before sliding and throwing a small burst of punches to his left leg. After passing by Amon, he jumped up and prepared to defend against whatever Amon was going to bring.
"Mmhm, sure. Oh, and don't worry. When I win, I won't tell others. Wouldn't want to pop that bloated ego of yours, now would we?
All hints of a smile were wiped from Amon's face, instantly turning serious as the fight heated up. The few chakrams thrown at Amon simply bounced off with loud "Clang"s as the other gem slid down and threw multiple punches at his leg. The punches all connected causing Amon to get knocked off balance a bit, turning to face the gem behind him. Amon's right arm grew to enormous proportions as he wound it back, preparing for a giant punch to the gut. Even if it didn't do any damage, if not blocked the sheer force would send the other gem flying backwards. So, in his usual hammy fashion, Amon shouted the name of his move.
Amon slid back a bit himself due to the huge pressure from the attack.
(OOC: Oooh, all that pent-up energy... Kinda don't wanna do this.)
Spinel watched as the Gem in front of him prepared to throw a punch of great force, even shouting its name before throwing the punch. Spinel, however, saw an immediate flaw in this Gem's attacks: It appeared that he never allotted for the chance that his blows could be dodged, or countered. Spinel simply blocked the punch, and slid a few meters away from where the punch was delivered due to the force of the punch. Also due to the force of the punch, Spinel's right arm received a decent amount of damage, causing him to smile. This Gem could really fight.
"Galaxy crusher?" Spinel laughed to himself. He then ran up to the Gem, throwing multiple punches and kicks, his final attack in the sequence being to throw a punch with his right arm, grab Amon's arm with his left, swing the Gem around, and swipe his leg under the other Gem's legs, causing him to fall to the ground.
Caligo was fine with letting the new gem wander, for the most part. This planet wasn't particularly dangerous, beyond the ever growing corrupted population, but she still felt it was necessary to make sure the young one didn't run into something and end up hurt... or crushed. This was a little different, the human populated areas had plenty of rebels around (even if she didn't know exactly who was one) and that increased the danger levels exponentially.
As quickly as she could, she tracked down where the curious diamond-look-alike went, quickly hiding among the pillars by the docks while keeping the two fighting gems in sight. Why Spinel was fighting this gem, she didn't know; who that gem was, she had no idea; and why Moissanite was here, yet another mystery. She didn't bother trying to figure it out while sneaking past the combatants and behind Moissanite, giving her a quick glance over while under the cover of that rock, ""Sanite, are you alright?"
Moissanite almost leaped out of her skin at Calcite's voice as she turned around in her hiding spot to face the other smaller gem. With eyes downcast with guilt at having made her friend worry she was quick to nod that she was fine. She even went as far as to spin once more to show she'd received no injuries before pointing at the two dueling gems.
"Why?" She questioned clearly not understanding the whole process going on though she grasped the dark colored gem had angered the diamond to lure him away from her. Maybe Calcite would better understand what exactly was going on then she could. After all Calcite seemed to know everything. It was one of the things Moissanite liked best about her friend, she always seemed to have the answers or at least an educated guess.
Amon made no effort to dodge or block any of the attacks, with every single one of them connecting. Though the hits connected, they had little effect on Amon's large, metal body. The final attacked delivered by Spinel forced Amon to react however. As soon as Spinel grabbed him Amon fired up his second ability and burst into an instant and rapid spin. Coming out of the spin, Amon unleashed a burst of energy from his palms facing away from his opponent, sending his flying towards the other gem with a massive shoulder barge. "Before you laugh at it, try naming your moves you punk. Makes things a lot more interesting, trust me!" Amon laughed, recovering from his attack. Amon really didn't want to give his opponent the key to victory, but the ineffectual attacks frustrated him. Though Amon had to give him some hint, so he lightly tapped his chest with his finger. This made a couple of very audible "Clang"s, so Amon got back into a ready pose and awaited his opponents attack.
A look of curiosity came across Spinel's face as all the punches he was throwing connected, but seemed to do nothing. Once he grabbed Amon's arm, he was spun around at rapid speeds, then elbowed in directly in the chest. The industrial diamond had said something in this time, but Spinel elected to ignore it. Due to the force of the blow, Spinel was knocked into a building near the docks, breaking the wall as he was forced through it.
The attack had a decent effect on Spinel, who came out of the building to see Amon tapping his own chest. Spinel looked at it, confused, and decided to test and see if what he was doing had any significant meaning. He summoned multiple chakrams, advancing and throwing them at the Industrial Diamond before he was close enough to throw another series of punches and kicks, but they were but a distraction. Shortly after he began his assault, he summoned his khopesh, quickly slammed the hilt onto Amon's chest, jumped back, then began to summon a fog to start encompassing the area.
After jumping back, Spinel began to take observe the Gem for any additional damage that might have occurred, a decent amount of dense, purple fog seeping from his gem.
(OOC: The fog will take a couple turns to get to a level where it will start to obscure Amon's vision.)
