Appearance: Sphene is a rather thin gem with a slight yellowish tint to his skin that distinguishes him from a human. He has a yellowish green triangular gemstone on the palm of his left hand. He has a moderately wide build and piercing green eyes. He has yellow shaggy hair and wears green attire that resembles that of a samurai's paper armor in the era of Feudal Japan.
Personality: Sphene is driven to gain honor for himself and to defend it when he feels necessary. This encourages him to get stronger, but at the same time can get him into fights he has no chance of winning. He feels that without his honor he is nothing and will become enraged if he fights someone with questionable honor. However, if he finds a gem who beats him in a way that he understands is honorable, he will give them the respect he feels they deserve. Sphene admires the idea of fusion, despite his limited experience with it. He sees fusions as great warriors who, regardless of how their strength is obtained, are powerful fighters.

Ability 1: Refraction Strike: Sphene charges his sword for a single strike that it it makes contact with his opponent's gemstone, it mirrors Sphene's injuries over to the opponent. (Sphene retains his injuries, but the opponent now has injuries in the exact same spots.) Sphene has to wait 4 posts before using the it again.
Ability 2: Light Clones: Sphene is capable of forming up to 4 clones of himself out of clones for 1-2 posts.

History: Sphene emerged from the ground at a Kindergarten on a distant gem colony. He was taught the basics of fighting and then sent as part of an invasion force to take control of another planet. However, during the assault a large meteor hit the planet and the planet was destroyed. Sphene was one of the few gems who had made it on an evacuation ship and then got off the planet in time. However, Sphene's ship was damaged while escaping the debris and so he drifted lost in space until he crashed on the planet of Earth. He crashed and was rescued by a samurai who then trained him in the art of fighting with honor. Years later, the wandering samurai died and Sphene went into hiding in the mountains to meditate. After several hundred years, Sphene climbed down from the mountains and emerged into a world entirely different than the one he had left hundreds of years ago.
Character Arcs:
Arrival: Sphene leaves Japan after hearing of the other gems on Earth and seeks them out.
Desire: After Sphene makes some friends, he becomes upset by how weak he is compared to several of the other gems on the planet.
Growth: Sphene comes to terms with his realitively weak state and decides to become stronger and vows to never stop fighting honorably and to build up a reputation for himself.
