Appearance:
(For now, without the star. Credit also goes to HummusKing order-of-amulets.com/viewtopic.php?t=357)
Personality:
Goldie will do anything to stay alive.* It's every gem for herself in her book. She sees everyone as being against each other and thinks that's the way it should be. Goldie hates being a dysfunctional gem. She has tried to "cure" herself, but she can't... this is just who she is.** She's scared to death of someone crushing her because she's not good enough. She's not much of an expert in communicating with others. In all her life, she's only ever tricked a gem and fought some others. Goldie never talked much with the humans either, just observed them to learn their ways. Goldie has photographic memory, which is also used for when she's calculating an opponents next move. Since she's seen it before, she can make an educated guess on what's next to come in a battle. From all that she has seen on Earth (which really isn't much), Goldie thinks humans are pretty pathetic. That doesn't mean she hates them, though. They're just... fragile and a little weird. At the end of the day, Goldie just wants to exist. If she has to kill other gems or pick between Homeworld and the Crystal Gems to stay alive, then she'll do it.
Likes/Dislikes:
She likes living, succeeding in what she's doing, learning anything that can help her.
She dislikes the thought of being crushed, not being good enough, not being accepted by fellow gems because she's defective.
She's neutral about being alone, fighting, eating, Earth and it's inhabitants.
Fears:
Being crushed and not being good enough.
Weapon:
Double hook staff (as seen in her picture). It can also become a bo staff or javelin.
Ability 1:
Replication: She can make a clone of herself which can carry out any battle tactic or move she's seen before. The more she makes the more power she drains out of herself. These last for 1 to 3 posts or until fatally wounded. She can also replicate other objects.
Ability 2:
Mind control: Only works on her clones or on anything with a small will power (like a puppy or insect). Doesn't drain power from her, but instead needs more concentration if she's trying to control more than two things at a time. Lasts 4 to 6 posts.
Fusions: N/A at the moment
History: On a colonial planet, Golden Beryls were made by Yellow Diamond to be able to calculate their opponents next move, but Goldie's calculations are slower than the average Golden Beryl. She was considered not suited for battle. Goldie was tossed aside to be crushed with other defective gems, but she narrowly escaped by tricking another Golden Beryl into taking her place.* Because of her own unpredictability, this other Golden Beryl wan't able to analyze that it was deception. Goldie had no regrets. It was either that gem or her.
Goldie knew she couldn't stay because it would only be a matter of time before it was figured out that wasted a perfectly good gem just to save herself, a useless gem. Goldie stole on of the colonial ships successfully after a few failed attempts and barely getting by with her life. Of course she wasn't made for flying ships, so it was a difficult ride. She crash landed into the water of earth nearly 7,000 years ago. For 6,953 years Goldie stayed in the water in her poofed gem form. She was hoping that by staying under for so long, the colony wouldn't find her. She lost track of time and only came out pretty recently (with is 47 years ago). Goldie became lost and confused. She was on a planet she didn't know for who knows how long. Goldie wanted to get off, but she had no way to do so. And even if she did, where would she go? Homeworld was never her home and she didn't want to go back to the colony. She wouldn't even know where to find it.
During those 47 years, Goldie explored the Earth. She met many humans and few gems. For years Goldie would pick fights with gems so that she could improve the speed of her calculations.** It didn't really work, but the bright side was that every fight she won (she fled from any that seemed impossible to win) ended with the opposing gem poofed, and Goldie old them as jewelry (as the humans called it). Goldie accepted it as a new line of work and told herself this is what she was really made for. The only thing she was kind of good at. Goldie never spent the money she made from this. She stopped doing this only recently, but there's always the possibility that she'll pick it up again.
Character Arcs:
She will accept that she's not a perfect Golden Beryl. She will come to care for the Earth, and then become a Crystal Gem. She will learn to not sacrifice others for her own life to be saved. She'll maybe even learn how to work with others.
