Cobalt (Also Known as Blue Beryl or Coby)
Appeared Gender:
Male
Appeared Age:
20
Gemstone:
Cobalt
Gemstone Location: Back of his hand

Appearance: He wears a black trenchcoat almost everywhere he goes. Underneath his trenchcoat is a dress shirt with a pocket. He wears black dress pants and a holster below his body. He has somewhat spiky black hair, human-colored skin, and one eye cobalt blue and the other cyan. On occasion when he is casual (as he's a busy guy), he wears a hoodie and shorts. The hoodie is blue while his shorts are black. He wears a special pair of gloves to protect his hands and gem during hand-to-hand combat.
Personality: A Gem that has the energetic personality of David Tennant's Doctor from Doctor Who with the seriousness of Timothy Dalton's James Bond. He likes to crack jokes every once in a while, he likes hanging around people, and being an all-around nice guy. However, when the time comes, Cobalt can set aside those emotions to deal with what needs to be done, such as if he needs to help someone out or another monster has appeared somewhere in the world. He tried his best to stop the corrupted monsters and will stop at nothing to make that happen. But Cobalt has a deep fear inside of him, something that could cause him to enter a state of depression and sadness. The thought of losing a friend/ally pains Cobalt. However, Cobalt knows that if he can be there to protect his allies, he can prevent it from happening. Even if it means that he'll have to put his own life on the line just for the sake of a friend. Kind-hearted when happy and Serious when he puts his mind to it, Cobalt will continue to try to protect the Earth and Gemkind.

Ability 1:
Ability to move metal around like Peridot, however he can also bend the metal as well. This ability needs some concentration to use, and accidents can occur if he doesn't take his time.
Ability 2:
The Laser Hand : Able to use Plasma he generates to shoot Plasma energy at people through his left hand. (Similar to how Mega Man shoot enemies with his Mega Buster) However he can only shoot up to 30 of them before needing to rest for around 2-3 posts. Cobalt obtains the plasma for The Laser Hand by using metal scraps he find around the place. However, how many shot of the Laser Hand depends on the size of scrap metal. Smaller scarps lead to 1-3 shots, while large scraps can lead to around 5-15 shots. If Cobalt were to consume something really large (i.e. a piece of a car) he can potentially exceed his limit of 30 to about 45-50. However, this would mean that he would get tired more easily. Cobalt's lasers can either be loud or quiet, it's his choice.
History:
Cobalt Gems are known to be engineers on Homeworld, so they provide the advancement of technology for the Diamonds. Our Cobalt was sent to Earth to help build structures for Homeworld along with a crew of 5 other Cobalts. He contributed to the Galaxy Warp and Communication Hub and helped establish some of the warp pads around the world. However, because of the slow progress of the structures and warp pads, our Cobalt decided to look into Human Culture and took a liking to it. Some few thousand years later, Cobalt and co. discover that the warp pads they made had been destroyed. Along with the destroyed warp pads, Cobalt discovers some of the corrupted gem monsters around them. The monsters proceed to engage in a fight with the crew, with our Cobalt being the only survivor. Having lost his crew, Cobalt slipped into a depression, with only human culture to help him cope with the loss. When Cobalt heard from other gems about the message, Cobalt had shrugged it off. He wasn't really into protecting Earth or anything, nor did he want to destroy it. However, all he wanted to do is rid this world of its corrupted Gem Monsters. So after making a new appearance and weapon, Cobalt now sets off to rid the world of monsters for a better tomorrow for Gemkind.
