Deep in the ocean, where no light reaches, the sea bed gently tosses in the current. A thin layer of sand is brushed off a gem, which begins to hum and glow with light, briefly illuminating the surroundings and scattering whatever creatures are found at these depths. A figure of light takes shape, and all goes dark again. Lapis Lazuli Facet-2H6K, Cut-11DL has reformed, but in total darkness. Despite being down here for so long, the complete absence of light was extremely uncomfortable. She had held onto her final memories just before she was poofed for so long, that this was still... new. Still, it didn't take her long to get her bearings. She felt her feet in the sand, which had to mean the surface was above her. She swam up. When she began to see light, she swam faster.
She breached the surface at last. The seas were calm, but her enthusiastic thrashing would only cause her to sink once more. She would try again, but now with concentration. She broke through gently this time and braced an arm on the surface. It supported her weight. With arduous effort she would go about the process of bringing herself to a stand on the surface. It was an exhausting process that she'd nearly give up on, but she eventually managed it and found relief in now only having to support her feet. She looked up to the sky, considered flying, and decided against it. She may run into more of those flying creatures that had caused her to poof before, and she was probably already running a little late when it came to reporting back to her kindergarten. For now, she would walk. She stood there bobbing on the surface for a moment as she tried to recall the positioning of the sun when she fell in order to get her bearings. With an idea of where she should be going, she began her march. When she got bored, she would summon water from her gem and shape the blob into simple shapes, getting more creative with the shape as time went on.
Fortune favored her this time. Despite walking on the ocean for at least a week, she encountered no storms. At last she began to see what looked like land far in the distance. As well as... structures? Were they Gem structures? That architecture was never displayed during her incubation...
Anyone on the beach would see a small blue figure out on the horizon, standing on the water and headed in their direction.
