Ability 1: Just like Pearl from the show he can summon few holograms from his gem. He often uses it to confuse his enemies with holo pearls (max 4, they can be destroyed in one shot) or just show his old memories or data that was stored inside him. He can also summon small flying hologram with one hand, it's purpose is to make noise if something dangerous is coming. Holograms are 'programed' to help in different works like fighting, controlling a ship, being an alarm, etc.

Appearence: Light is a pale gem with a spiky brown/mocha hair. His eyes, just like his hair, are brown. Pearl is a little bit shorter than a regular Pearl (~the height of Lapis Lazuli). Light is wearing a white tunic, with a belt and a pair of brown shorts underneath and a short (also brown) shawl. There is a laurel wreath pattern around his gem (chest). He is also often seen with his fingerless brown gloves. What might make him stick out are his pretty big brown boots.
Personality: Light used to be a very outgoing person. Always ready to explore, meet new people, learn new things... But a life of an off color Pearl on Homeworld is not a simple one. His own kind took care of putting him on a line. He soon became withdrawn, quiet, invisible to some. However, his journey to Earth helped him heal. He was able to open up, learn more about himself, become his own person and not what Homeworld thought of him. That doesn't mean life on Earth was perfect, it was far from that. He was hurt numerous times by a band of rogue gems. In a way, it made him stronger, but it also made him more bitter towards new people. It is sometimes hard for him to make new friends. That is why instead of spending time with other Crystal Gems you might see him working all by himself in Forge instead.
This Pearl is also emotional. He tends to have mood swings and the environment/people around him affect him. He is also rebellious and anything related to his old life makes him nervous and frustrated.
Light might be childish and touchy, but his metamorphic heart is in the right place. He can be a very caring person when you get to know him, but will become distant and mad when not given the same amount of attention. He will cut contacts with those he doesn't trust anymore. Light is a melancholic and tends to be stuck in the past. Both bad and good memories keep coming to his head. That is why he has got a hard time forgiving someone who hurt him before. He tends to take things seriously and still needs to learn a lot about the Earth and his emotions. Despite everything, he is brave and will always support his friends.

Weapon: A seemingly wooden stick with metal wings decorations on both. After being upgraded by Lady Padparascha the weapon can now fire a laser similar to a bullet once every other post. The laser itself isn't very powerful, but could cut a thing metal or damage an enemy over multiple shots. As well it can summon a weaker laser that stays for a longer time.

Ability 2: His form turns white while him gemstones stays the same way while weird green wind covers his nearest allies (they must be within sight of him) and himself, allowing them to teleport a short distance (7 feet). This Teleport/Blink can only be used 2 times for each gem before the wind wears off. Pearl uses it to support others in battle or boost his own speed to get rid of enemy's weapon/etc. After applying the wind to himself and his allies he has to create 3 posts before he can use it again. Blinks do not stack (Meaning a gem can't save up the effect to get more than 2 of it, if Light applies it again it simply resets back to two).

Light Mocha Pearl wasn't actually always... a Light Mocha Pearl. He was suppose to be a quite fancy white Pearl. However, something went wrong and his gemstone remained bubbled and unfinished for a long period of time. It is unknown how much time he actually spent in a bubble.. One day his unfinished gemstone was used to create one of the first Mocha Pearls. A new type of Pearl, to make things easier the Kindergarteners took his flawed gemstone and finished it with material meant to be used on actual Mocha Pearls. He was pretty much a test subject, a prototype and thus he was hidden from the eyes of the public. He wasn't meant to become a private servant- instead he became a simple worker and cleaner in a reef.
Some time later first Mocha Pearls were created. They seemed to be more feminine than him and had mean temper. They were pretty much flawless and often treated Light poorly because of his gemstone which was creally far from perfect.

One day something terrible happened. There was a terrorist attack on the reef. Some Pearls were stolen and one Mocha Pearl was cracked during all of this. The AI of the reef was also damaged and so the Pearl couldn't be fixed in a traditional way. There were no healers either. Scientists believed they could potentially transfer a Mocha Pearl data into Light for the time being and delete Light during the process. However, Light summoned a holo-pearl to free himself and run away, but the other Pearl was stuck inside him.
At some point Light was hunted down. However, he was found by a group that was suppose to capture off color gems. Instead of being shattered for his acts he was recycled. He was supposed to become a power source in a roaming eye. He was stuck in a ship for a while, he couldn't move, he couldn't talk, but he was still there, feeling energy being sucked out of him.
His sufferings would end years later. The roaming eye got attacked by rebels when it was flying near Earth. Light was protected by the hard metal of the ship and reformed some time later. The crew from the other hand had met with a terrible fate.
It has been about 3 years since his ship crashed on Earth and a lot has happened since then. He was accepted by the Crystal Gems and one gem in particular took him under their wing, Padparadscha Sapphire, or how he liked to call her: Lady Para.
