Jadeite's first encounters (Open) (Jade, Paddy)

[Jadeite]

n the desolate, windy fields of Nevada, lay three rocks, two of wich facing each other's bad, and being completely inanimate. The Rock was rather large the around 5' tall gems, it had little cliffsides and flat parts that seemed to made for sitting, despite the rock being completely natural. On each side of the rock, a gem sat a few above them ground, their feet dangling an swaying with the soft whistling wind. Each gem, while similar In color and gem shape, seemed completely at odds with the other. One, who had a slightly taller, but slimmer form, and another, somewhat shorter but much more bulky form. The more bulky gem was visually anxious and filled with fury, her fist clenched, her eyes dilated, and veins pulsing from her forehead. "I now remember why I don't trust you!" She would start with a groan. "Just look as us for the Diamonds sake! The both of us are stuck here, on this damned rock for hours now! You told me that you where gonna get us out of here! You told me that we would find life, and find some form of life! It's been two weeks! Half the times I think you're just lugging me around because I'm strong, and I prevent you from getting killed! But oh, somehow you try and tell me you're the one protecting me?! 'I'm going to get myself killed!' You say, and you're always going on about how you're sooo smart, and that I need your sorry excuse for a gem to stay alive! Hell, I know I'm not the brightest gem out there, but would you for once give me some credit! And tell me, what do you know that I don't?! You walk around searching for whatever you can, and you're always turning up with nothing, and neither of us have yet to learn anything about this planet! Honestly, we were made to do a job, and mine is simple. Weather I like it or not, I'm a brute, I'm a loud, annoying, anobnoxious brute!" She would huff at her last statement, turning to her head to the smaller gem, who had his head down and cradled in his hand. "And if I'm so bad, how are you any better! You're future vision powers don't even work right, and if you're intellect is oh so grand, WHY HAVEN'T WE FOUND ANYTHING?!" The smaller, seemingly silent gem would curl up a bit, tears running down his cheek. He didn't even look his partner in the eye, and both unaware of anything nearby. "HUH? ANSWER ME, YOU USELESS, WANNABE SAPPHIRE!!" She much large gem punching her partner in a fit of blinded by her emotions, she didn't notice the large bruise that was now covering his side. He laid, trying to get up with what little strength he had off the ground, wiping his tears.

[Paddy]

The investigator, with her one-gem entourage trailing behind her, had been gathering samples in this area; it was a prime location for a kindergarten, she mused, or at least it seemed that way from an ease-of-access standpoint. The samples would give Homeworld kindergarteners a real idea of what kind of minerals and energy sources could be extracted here to create more gems. Each sample jar she drew from her belt was subsequently filled with a core of soil and rock, then she would bubble it and send it off while she walked several meters to the next site. 

The dry air was accompanied by a lackadaisical breeze that washed back the gems' hair, as well as the long grass. It would've been a peaceful scene; though, it was difficult to not notice the increasingly heated vocal tirade that cascaded over the fields. It seemed that someone was having a discourse, or a fight rather. Her eyes slid up to Amethyst's, and the guard gave a nod, then cracked her knuckles. The two loyalist gems stepped toward the source of the commotion, seeming to resonate from three rocks positioned on the plain. 

As she neared, Padparadscha realized there were two gems here, just as the words 'wannabe sapphire' split the air, it gave her an agitated pang, though she knew it wasn't directed at her. The two gems approached, and the shorter of them cleared her throat to get the attention of the gems-- both the one being berated, and the one doing the berating. "It would seem you're off task, comrades," She noted in a low tone, then she pursed her lips,"May I asked what your assignment is? What are you doing here?" The sapphire realized she wasn't quite sure what sort of gems these were, though it was tricky to get gems to admit their designations these days. While she spoke, Amethyst curled her fists and released them, as per her nervous habit.

For several more moments, Jadeite-02 would lay, a hand around his side to help ease the pain caused by his partner. As for Jadeite-01, she remained furious, but as the seconds passed her expression became less riddled with anger, but to that of concern as she noticed the tears running down her partners cheeks and his now dirtied body. The situation from anyone who doesent know what these gems are would see this is a bodyguard defacing a harming their beloved sapphire. Even though they were both Jades, their gems radiated orange and blue respectively, as the two had been infused with Jasper and Sapphire during their early stages of life. Jadeite-01 couldn't find words as to how she felt, but the sorry and concerned look on her face said more than words ever could. The two had their gazes locked into each other, and they simontaneously and instantaneously had a strong connection and understanding of how they felt.

The Jades remained like that until two gems, an Amethyst and Sapphire approached them, and spoke to them. Instinctively, Jadeite-01 sharply turned to the two, and drew her weapon, a short-chained spiked mace. The ball of the mace fell to the ground with a harsh "Thud." as the ground became indented a little. "H-Hey, this is none of your-"
"Stand down!" Came a somewhat shakey voice, as Jadeite-02 did his best to sound as demanding as possible. He'd learnt how to sound regal enough by all the gems on homeworld who constantly asked him questions and performed tests.
"What?! What the hell are you-"
"Jadeite-01, stand down and calm yourelf this instant or I swear on Yellow Diamond you will suffer the consequences!" He wasn't sure how long he could hold up this up-front act, as he was very reserved, but he hoped he would be able for long enough.
Jadeite-01 drew her weapon back, and reluctantly took a seat. At least she knew that if she didn't want to get shattered, to listen, she didn't know why, but she was going to out some trust in him just this once.
Jadeite-02 took a few steps closer to his partner, staring her down as hard as she could.
"Uh, yeah?"
There was deafening silence.
"Don't 'uh yeah' me! Stand at attention and call me sir, you fool!" Jadeite-02 would sigh in frustration. "Are you blind?! You are in front of multiple high class gems, this is kind of respect you show them?! You should be ashamed of yourself! And here I thought that you where actually starting to be useful! I shouldn't of expected so much if you, you're part Jasper." He paused again, and stared at Jadeite-01 who still remained relaxing. "What are you waiting for, stand at attention and make yourself at least slightly presentable!"
Jadeite-01 finally caught on, and within no time she shot up, back perfectly straight and eyes pouting directly forward. "Yes sir!"
"And this is why we have our standards set so high, we'd never get anything done..." Jadeite-02 mumbled to himself before taking a few steps forward towards the Sappire. He held his arms back and formally bowed, smiling softly after coming back up. "Greetings, comrade." He started. "I do sincerely apologize you had to witness that, Jadeite-01 can be incredibly unprofessional, it's like she doesn't even notice I'm there!" He would chuckle, wiping his forehead, getting somewhat nervous. "Anyways, not that we have that out of the way, you wanted to know our mission did you not? Well, it was simple. The Sodalites who created both of us finally decided to let us go on a mission, as they thought we had been properly trained. An earth exploration mission seemed like a good start, there was little risk, but formidable challenges regardless, a true test of your strength!" He would smiled again, and continue. "Yellow Diamond confirmed this mission, and it has been ninety seven earth rotations since we have arrived. And if you don't mind me asking, what is your mission?"

[Paddy]

Padparadscha's eyes flicked between the two, her eyes widened a bit as one slender brow arched. Never in her years had she set eyes on a more dysfunctional set of gems that hadn't already succumbed to corruption, though they appeared to be some sort of experimental pairing. Yellow Diamond was notorious at this point for her experiments, especially the weaponized kind, and sapphire wondered if their dispositions had been intentional. She stepped back and prepared to summon her own weapon as one of the gems conjured hers-- then, the tables seemed to turn, the berater became berated, and the gem gave their joint introduction.


Behind her, Amethyst seemed to relax a bit, but the sapphire's discomfort with this situation wasn't abated by the smaller Jadeite's attempt for formal recovery. Her brows came together, something seemed very off about the story that had been given. Nonetheless, she would continue to look for more data to analyze. There would be no telling what this deception was about until she could dig up more answers. 


"I see," She answered curtly, unable to keep herself from sounding more stilted,"Ah, well, I'm here on a preliminary investigation, taking a break from more irregular assignments. I hope you'll forgive me for my intrusion," She gave a bow herself, and then her lithe hands formed a precise Diamond Salute. Though she still wasn't quite sure what to make of these two, she felt that she had to get to the truth of the matter, to understand what was going on here. "Pardon me, I've forgotten my introduction; Padparadscha 10C8A 8QE, Pink-court affiliate," She gestured toward Jade 02, then gave a nod acknowledging the other,"You must have some preamble yourselves?"

While Jade-02 kept his partner under control, he would hope that the Sapphire would dismiss their previous actions, due to how quickly he could take control of a situation and completely switch the tables. The bruise caused by Jade-01 didn't seem to fading in the slightest, it may be there for a few days, and that could be a serious injury to gems that heal and quickly as Jades do.

He mentally noted the Sappire's expression, and would progressively more anxious, but still keeping his back straight and in that formal position. The Sapphire by the look she had seemed doubtful of what she's been told, but Jade-02 knew if he broke character and showed any more anxiety his cover would be blown. It was hard for him to not draw his staff and instinctively created a shield, and his gem would radiate in a hint of blue. The glow was dim, and could be chalked up to some strange lighting thing the Earth did. Jade-02 also had the idea of mentioning his recent injuries causing his anxiety and seemingly less formal attitude, maybe it would ease the tension the Sapphire had, but he didn't know. He has to careful with every word and every last bit of inflection he had on it, any shrewd of doubt he had would cause incredible amounts of doubt in Sapphire.

He would nod as Sapphire spoke, and Jade-01 for a split second stared at amethyst. Maybe she could seen as part of the 'Famethyst' to her, as she thought Jaspers' where included in that. It would ease her if she received some kind of nod, or some kind of acknowledgement. Jade-02 would kindly chuckle, and answered in a soft but still formal tone. "Oh no worries, I'm sure that you where just worked a bit the two of us, and for good reason." He waved his hand as pardon of Sapphire's actions. "After all, you did remind of our job, so thank you for." Jade would smile, and in his own mind chalked up his somewhat mom formal attitude to his chemical makeup, as he was only 50% Sapphire, so he only had the smarts and not the personality of the gem.
"Introduction?" He would ask, his head cocked a few inches. "Oh, right! I do apologize." He paused with a joking snicker. "I, am Jadeite, Facet-XJ-001-02, and my this useless hunk of Rock behind me is Jadeite, Facet-XJ-001-01. We where built with no real purpose other than to be a versatile soldier. This first Earth mission is one of several missions to test our strength until we are ready for real combat. Is there anything else you would like to know? But, be aware I should be getting back to my job soon, and I'm sure you have your duties as well, so let's wrap this up soon, shall we?"

[Paddy]

Amethyst, at this point, was staring off into space. The soldier had no need to introduce herself, nor interact at length with these gems unless they posed a thread to her patron. But, when her eyes floated back over to the situation at hand, she caught Jade 01 peering at her. Her purple eyes quickly flickered away; she felt a bit embarrassed to be stared at, and a bit more embarrassed at having momentarily locked eyes with the gem who her patron was trying to suss out.

Padparadscha realized that this Jadeite was using a clever deflection tactic, that might have circumvented her senses had she not been an interrogator for centuries. She might have missed it and allowed these two to go on their merry-- or miserable-- way, but she wasn't keen on letting this one go now that she saw the level of cover they were trying to recede under. Her chin lifted slightly as she listened to Jade 02, then she gave a terse nod as he finished speaking. 

"Well, I find myself rather curious about what it is that you're exploring out here," She clasped her hands behind her back. Though she'd kept most of her associations a secret thus far, she decided to let a little more information forth as a coaxing tactic. "You see, typically I'm given a dossier of all or most of the activity in an area i'll be working in-- my clearance level typically leaves me with all necessary information. I'm afraid I haven't been given any sort of dossier entailing details of a Jadeite soldier unit charting this area," It was possible that their work would be highly classified, and perhaps that was the source of deception here. Though, being the curious and astute gem she was, she would use whatever the Jade said next as more leverage to pry open this case. 

[Jadeite]

Jadeite-01's face turned to a smirk for a moment, but kept her mouth shut. The expression just screamed, "You scared~?"' With a tiny hint of, "I am going to shatter you, turn the peices into dust and then blow that dust out into space."
Jade-01 couldn't keep her act up completely, as she hated homeworld with the furious passion of a thousand stars. However, Jade-02 and Sapphire where having a conversation, so she thought nobody would catch on, it was only for a moment after all.
The gem only showed a thread of nervousness, but stay composed as Jade-02 still kept his hand folded behind his back. However, he was slightly on edge and was rigid in case if she had to grab her partner and run like a bat out of hell. Her rigid stature could be excused as merely an atonement towards Sapphire.
He would note her expression, and so did Jade-01, they both knew they where onto her, and last thing they needed was a warrant sent on them for running from a high-class without proper dismissal. They had to relax and make up anything they could and pay attention to everything to not seem suspicious. Jade-01 noticed the slight change of inflection in Sapphire's voice as she spoke, and her anger slowly rose.
Jadeite-02 cleared his throat, his expression becoming somewhat more serious. "Madame, while I sincerely respect you and your position, I'm afraid I cannot expel more information about our mission. While exploring is only a portion, the rest of the Intel about our mission is classified by Diamomd order. If you wish, I can pull up the log that Yellow Diamond herself sent it to me and my partner to prove it to you." Of course, Jade had no actual document stating what he was saying, but he could perform a hologram that looked like a document he would need. His face looked more posh and somewhat annoyed by this point.
He would slowly nod once more at Sapphire. "Interesting, I can understand why you would have suspicion, and it's for good reason, for somebody who gets updates on any and all missions and activities of other gems who are aligned with Homeworld to not get Intel on two gems would make you beleive we are rebels. However, Sapphire, what you don't understand is what me and my partner are. If you remember, we are Facets XJ-001-01 and XJ-001-02 respectively, and the 'X' in our names is for 'experimental'. As such, the gems who created us, and the Diamond who ordered our creation limit information to even aristocrats like you and I. Obviously, if nobody says a word about our mere existence, do you think their mission information would be widely known?" Jade-02 had a rather flat expression, but tried to make up and lay out as many 'facts' as he could. "My Diamond has specifically told us what to do when confronted any high-class gem demanding our presence. And even if we didn't have that order, my ranking of gem alone gives me the same authority as you, if not more." Now this, this is where Jadeite-02 shined, when the time came, he would be able shut down most situations when it came to information, make up believable excuses, and things of the sort. He at this point was running out of facts the spew, but didn't think there was any way to tear him down at this point, but yet again he never knew.
Jadeite-01 could be an issue however, as the bruises she left on Jadeite-02 alone could send him to prison, if not be shattered, ignoring the fact they're rebels. Her progressively increasing anger and impatience seemed incredibly stupid for a high-class solider to do, and could easily raise multiple red flags.

[Paddy]

It seemed the Jade who spoke to her had practiced his tactics in maneuvering around gems like herself. This could mean a number of things, though she didn't want to jump the gun quite yet. The burying of information didn't help her find out where the untruths were, but the wealth of data it provided for her to analyze gave her a boost in understanding the expressions that this Jade used; she watched every twitch of every little muscle, every slight movement of the eyes, and every inflection of every word, it all gave her more data to work with.

How forward this gem was, she decided, especially to have mentioned rebels. The words caught her attention, and she thought on the state that she had stumbled upon these gems in. She mulled over it all as the gem finished speaking, putting together the pieces. Meanwhile, Amethyst continued to avoid looking directly at the other gems, but she sensed the escalation in tension that began to fill the air. 

Padparadscha herself had been a part of an experiment, and knew many other gems who had as well; she knew, more or less, how such gems were regarded in the hierarchy, and how they were dealt with by their respective Diamonds. What the experimental jade said about it was true, these affairs were often highly classified. But there were many untruths woven into the words of the gem she spoke to. "Well, then, I'd like to see your documents," She brought out her holoscreen, preparing to do a transfer with whatever tech that Jade 02 might have. 

Even if these documents would end up being legitimate, she had a mind to file a report about this team's lack of functionality. What sort of explorer unit allowed infighting to this degree? It was incredibly inefficient, though part of her again wondered if that had been the point of these experiments; one could never be too sure about things like this. 

[Jadeite]

At this point, Jade-02 would be getting anxious, the soft blue-tinted glow his gem made had become brighter, almost visible at this point despite how his gem was behind his back. His cheeks also began flushing a soft pink and his face turning somewhat wet. He knew at this point there wasn't much he could do, even if he did have the document, it was fake, and if we told the information was so classified that nothing could be shown, he'd be put into a corner and would be asked why he's told the Sapphire any information in the first place. He was also more than aware of that she'd seen at least some part of his partner abusing him, and that could easily reported as dysfunctionality. However, he thought he would stick around, maybe try and get to see where this was going, who knew, the two might just be let off. It was merely minutes too early to book it. He felt more or less scared, he didn't want to hurt this gem, nor get himself worth, despite his hatred towards her. He didn't see value in hurting a gem that wasn't responsible for his pain, even if Paddy wanted to get him shattered.

Jadeite-01 had now had her fists clenched, and his gem would also glow softly but with an orange-tinted light. She seemed on the edge, her impatience had grown nearly insatiable, and she knew exactly what Sapphire wanted to do them. Jadeite-01 wanted to punch that smug, knowing look off her face, and rip the gem right from her body. She had no fears, even death itself didn't phase her. Jadeite-01 was fearless to the point where her head would turn towards the little shit and throw her a stare, a stare that encompassed the fury, suffering, vengeance, and pure torment she felt throughout all her life. On top of that, every second she held that expression, it would be screaming at the top of its lungs, "I am going to be the gem that ends your very existence in the most painful and sufferable way I possibly can."

Her partner didn't notice the emotion being spilled out, but she felt it, Jadeite-01 just had an aura, a strong and intense aura. She wasn't aware if others could feel it, but she could and it was clear as day. He knew that he was cornered, and that he had no others options, and this would get violent or he would be carried and thrown into a bush to avoid being hurt.
Jadeite-02 would gulp. "Sapphire, I regret to inform you, t-that... I can't give you that I form, d-due to how classified. I-I've already t-told you too m-much!" He took a step back towards Jade-01, and held her hand, his face showing nothing closer than sheer terror.

[Paddy]

The fear in the other gem's form became increasingly apparent, leading Padparadscha to slowly arch one of her brows as she tried to figure out where this was coming from. Then, her eye flicked to the other gem, who looked about ready to launch herself into combat. The sapphire threw a momentary glance up to Amethyst, a signal, and the quartz became more alert. It was clear these gems were under pressure-- what sort of pressure, she couldn't be sure. 

"Very well," She said tersely, then shut down her holoscreen,"Though, I have to wonder why you've offered to show your logs in the first place. Indeed, I have to wonder about many of things you've said to me today," She took a step back,"I hope you'll forgive me, Jadeite 02, but this whole situation seems rather strange. You've made an effort to explain yourself but there's too much that just doesn't add up. I know you're on a highly classified endeavor, but it's my protocol to make sure everything is on the up-and-up. I'll be sure to refer your Diamond to mine if this comes to be an issue, but perhaps we can spend some time sussing this out? What is the designation of your manager? I should be able to call her up right now,"  

The sapphire blinked, tilting her head slightly as she kept her eyes drifting between the two gems, watching them carefully. It was now that she decided she should start coming up with a strategy. She wasn't totally sure if the jade had been at all truthful about their experimental builds, but one thing she knew about fighting with experimental soldiers in the past, was that they always had something unexpected up their sleeves. This time she had a quartz soldier, but that wouldn't be the end-all-be-all of a given confrontation.  

[Jadeite]

Jadeite-01 still had her ears locked onto Paddy, standing just about next to her partner as the Sapphire's brow arched. It only seemed to add onto her intense emotion she already felt, she didn't care if she was shattered right here, right now, but there way in hell she wasn't going down without a fight. She had no intention of standing down to some prissy and prim little prick. When the gem signaled her Quartz, Jade's eyes shot to her, sending her the same furious glare. Back to Sapphire her eyes shifted, hearing the damn thing speak made her visibly grunt and grit her teeth.

However, for Jadeite-02, watching the next few seconds caused astronomical feelings of anxiety and panic to course through his form, gasping softly as Sapphire spoke. The pupils in his eyes grew more dilated, he knew that if he didn't say or do something, one way or another him as his partner would be hunted and brutally shattered or held captive. Unlike Jade-01, he turned his emotions into fear, and hated himself for it, he was built to be smart and cunning, but now he's landed himself in hot water for the second time. Out of his fear, he would try to muster one last phrase or excuse to get out of the situation. "W-Well, ma'am, you see... It was merely a mistake! All gems make mistakes, and being stressed can cause information to slip and for lies to be told! P-Please, there's no need to worry, you can leave us be, there is no more to discuss! Sapphire, you must be smart enough to tell my sincerity, I would know! So why is there any reason to think we are-"

Jadeite-01 would clench her partners hand, signaling for him to shut up, and she would take a few steps forward in front of him.
Jade-02 had an expression filled with more terror than before and would moth the words "No." Over and over to her, looking at her with pleading eyes.

Jade-01 let go, and took a few more steps forward towards Sapphire until being less than a foot away from her, her partner was already taking steps back, curling up in terror, he thought right then and there, they would be shattered. She would then open her mouth, speaking in a monotone, and direct voice whilst staring at Sapphire dead in her eyes, unblinking. "Now, I hope you will understand what I am telling you, as it is paramount. You see, clod, me and my partner are escaped rebels, and the sorry excuse of a functioning society you call homeworld, wants us both shattered. As for you, I want to make a deal; leave us alone, and I will not turn you into the same dust-like form that Homewolrd wants us in." Jadeite-01 then drew her mace, the head hitting the ground with a large 'thud,' and a sinister smile cracked upon her face. "Of course, you can always deny that deal. Either way, I'm happy, we either get off scot free, or I get see both of your gems shattered into a million pieces, and I would have plenty of fun doing that~." She chuckled. "So, what do you say~?"

Jadeite-02 at this point was nothing but fear, her entire body shivering as she listened to her partner. She had no control and blurted out with tears running down his face, he's been in a similar situation, but this time was even more high risk. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" 

In the same, dead tone, Jadeite-01 answered. "Something I wanted to do ninety two years ago." Her gem began glowing a mix of Orange and Green, both pieces of Jasper and Jade reacting with each other.

Both awaited a reply, Jadeite-01 was ready to fight, and was prepared for everything, even death. 

[Paddy]

Padparadscha's lips pursed as the more refined jade attempted to save the situation. Without any doubt in her mind, something suspicious was going on here, and she had a mind to let the gem keep rambling until he spilled the valuable information she was looking for. This gem, she decided, would be a cinch to interrogate. But first would be the matter of getting him, and his compatriot, detained.

Then, the other jade stepped in front of her blubbering counterpart and the sapphire's attention was immediately yanked to her seething tone. It seemed that no further interrogation would be necessary-- the gem freely admitted their joint crime. The investigator stood, staring Jadeite 01 straight in the eyes, hands still clasped neatly behind her. Something like both a sneer and a smirk curled onto the sapphire's lips, her brows floated up, twisting with disdain. She couldn't hide the disgust that rebels, along with that very serious threat, made her feel, but she also knew such brazenness could be exploited. For now, she didn't make any sudden movements while she let her expression become more neutral. 

"That does sound rather unpleasant," She stated, keeping a calm demeanor despite the revulsion that began to roil in her core,"Though, I have a counter proposal for you, Jadeites. Let's not get our hands dirty, shall we? It certainly wont help your cause. As it stands, your crime is treason. There are gems with that charge and more who've been redeemed in court, and gone on to become productive members of civilized society. You, Jadeites, have a chance for redemption, should you repent your misguided choices and return with me to Headquarters," She knew they would more than likely refuse, so she prepared herself inwardly to take action. 

From what she'd seen of these two, she knew the jasper-infused Jade would most likely be a close combat fighter, not to mention easily provoked; the sapphire would have an advantage in that arena, but it would not do to let the fight carry on too long-- she had no idea what the more lithe jade would be able to do in a combat situation. Amethyst was poised to draw her weapon from the gem on her hip, her eyes now glaring onto the much shorter gem who would likely end up being her opponent.  

[Jadeite]

Jadeite-02 only had his ears, and his gem. As being made from the nearly the same batch of chemicals, amongst other things, he felt similar things his partner felt, as they were designed to fused, and could feel that same emotion, that same boiling hatred she did, and could sense every hit she'd take. It felt, rough, confused, and blind. He even could think of what Sapphire was going just by that hatred he sensed deep down growing and growing. He lay, curled up beside the rock he originally was, scared, his anxiety and fear consuming him. Jade-02 knew that his partner was strong, but she lacked any form of comprehension or strength, and if she hurt Sapphire, the odds would be against her, and there was no doubt at that point that they'd get shattered the moment they stepped foot on that god forsaken station.

As Jadeite-01 spoke, she gave every last bit of her attention the Sapphire, every milsecond she stare at the confident, snarky looks it made. She would think, that if she was going shatter this gem, she would at least bother speaking to it in an attempt to seer the phrases she spoke as the last she would ever live to hear. Jade-01 would chuckle, the grin or face turning more twisted and sinister. "Y'know, Sapphire, there's something I find funny about you. It's your sheer confidence, and you distain towards my mere existence, everything I stand and live you have a hatred for, but you keep up your prissy and prim act, and you fail, miserably. To think that I would that I would ever join you is the most hilarious statement I have ever heard~. I have seen the things homeworld does, the dark underbelly and their lack lf respect and value towards any gem who steps out of line. True perfection is impossible. To put all gems under fear, and tyranny, to close them off and threaten them with anything you can, It is truly something else. All gems, if they work together, and are given equal respect, could do great things. I have met an amethyst that was a truly cunning strategist and leader, better than any Agate you could ever imagine, she could have done amazing things, but was forced by your rulers to do one job, and one job only. They never even gave her a chance. Don't you find that interesting?" The gem cracked her knuckles, her tone somewhat joking and incredibly confident in herself. "You see, dear, I understand you don't fear me, and I can't change that, I won't control how you feel, so go ahead; tell me how much you hate me, tell me how condifendent in yourself you are, and tell exactly how you feel about who I am and what I stand for~." She paused, indulging this moment. "Because, I want to know anything I can about you, and your feelings so I can take that all alway from you by turning you into dust as you stand, confident, pristine, and infuriated by my presence~. Multiply that feeling of hatred by a thousand found, and you have everything I feel towards you~. I've always wanted to shatter a gem like yourself, as you embody everything I hate the most!" It seemed that everything she spewed was some kind of dumb threat or some moronic, simpleton monologue, but at the least it made her feel better, and she thought Sapphire would at least hear what she told her, but not so much to actually respect and listen to a damn thing.

Jadeite-02 would intently listen to his partner, and he would begin to stand up, there was no way in hell she'd get out of there alive or not get captured, her passion and immense amount of brute strength only would take her so far. He eventually found himself staring at her, now not only in terror by Sapphire and amethyst, but by Jade-01 as well.
Something came to his mind, it was something he didn't want to do, but may have to. Their only option was to run, and he didn't have the strength to stop her alone, so he would have to try and fuse, and he would have control over her, or at least as much control as he possibly could. He could hold onto her just long enough to run and get to some kind of safety, despite how angry she'd be at him once they escaped. If it meant saving them both, he'd be willing.

But, once Jade-02 had decided, she had already begun to act.

Jadeite-01 took a step, holding her mace with her right, and the chain with her left. Her face turned much more focused, unlike her passive-agressive, joking feel, she was all in now and was about dispel centuries of hatred out. Then, within an Instant, the short gem rushed forward towards Sapphire, throwing her spiked head of her mace straight for her rival's stomach, and at the top of her lungs Jade-01 shouted her war cry. She didn't know if she'd actually make the hit, as she merely leapt forward as fast as she could, due her small but heavy build, Jade had incredible speed and close-quarters combat strength. Her only downside was her accuracy, wich essentially was nonexistent. Though, her target was close by and standing still, but she had no idea if she was prepared, and how well she would be.

At the same time, Jadeite-02 was whiling tears out of his eyes until he saw a vivid view of what his partner was attempting to do, and as fast and soon as he could, he leaped forward while yelling as loud as his little lungs enabled him to, "JADE, DON'T!"
But. He was milliseconds too late, Jade-01 had already launched her attack, and he couldn't tell weather or not he landed the attack, but he didn't want to stick around long enough to find out. He reached out his left hand for Her left, tackling her in a swift embrace, holding onto her hand as tightly as he could, and she did the same out of instinct.

Both of them gems forms turned into light, a bright, pure, green light, they fused. Within a few seconds, their form came to be more concrete, a relatively tall, 6'5 creature, with a long fringe, two sets of eyes, one softer and one sharper, unzipped think jacket type attire, and a rather androgynous look. Their weapon had already been drawn, held by her only two hands. It was a long, heavy spear with an orb like structure combined into the sharp head of the spear, somewhat like a staff. In no time, Jade came back to consciousness, and in angered panic, simply ran. They didn't know to where, but they would simply run without a second thought, running to whoever they could find.

Padparadscha's eyes narrowed as she gave Jade 01 the chance to speak her piece, though it became increasingly difficult to withhold herself. Who did this little criminal think she was? The sapphire gripped her own hands, trying her best to keep her rising anger under control. In recent past, she'd let her rage control her; now, she knew what a disaster that could be. It seemed this experimental gem who spoke to her now also had an anger in her, something dark and malicious, fueled by her own disdain for the Homeworlders. The ire in Jade 01 could be read like words on a page, and as the sapphire had herself became worked up, so too did this defector. 

Then, in a burst of action the gem threw out her mace-- before Padpara had even thought about how she would react, Amethyst yanked her up off of the ground and out of the way. In the same swoop, the soldier attempted to grab her enemy, but before either loyalist had realized it, the Jades had tumbled out of the way. Amethyst let the sapphire drop back to her feet, and Padparadscha's brows shot up as green light washed the area, and the two Jadeites had become one entity. 

Stunned, the sapphire blinked, though quickly realized her enemy had made a break for it. Amethyst had already charged ahead through the field toward the fusion with her sword in hand. The sapphire herself was much too short legged to keep pace with a seven-foot quartz and a fusion who was nearly the same size, but she jogged after them, initiating her communicator in order to react out to pearl, who would be able to bring the ship in closer. Next, she racked her mind for a strategy; at this point, it would be the Homeworld soldier's stamina against that of this fusion, whose capabilities were complete unknowns, and that wasn't a good position to be in.

After a few moments, Amethyst dove forward into a spin dash, long dry grasses went flying as she tore through the field in her pursuit of Jade, an attempt to not only close the distance but also to make the first offense.

Jade would look back after a few moments after fusing, and word Immieditely regretted the decision. For the split second the spent, Jade saw the little, calculative and angered Sapphire trying to keep up with them, and a Amethsyt, nearly the same size as themselves hightailing towards them. They noted the sword held by her, eyes widening noticeably. (How large is this sword? Like, is it heavier sword, or a lighter saber?)
Jade had entirely mixed emotions, the only thing holding their form was the adrenaline coursing through them. They, half of them felt disappointed, they didn't have to force fusion, they didn't have to get anyone hurt, mindlessly hurting gems who you barely even know is no better than Homeworld did to them, and they wanted to strive for something a better than this angered, tainted, relentless, and terrible form, but another simply didn't care. The part didn't care about reason, or about being good, there was a vengeance that had to be taken out, and scores to settled. It thought all Homewolrd gems must've been the same, homewolrd made them with the chemical Imbalance, only they should have the excuse to feel the way they do. Besides, all gems other than them had a purpose and did that job perfectly with no care about individuality, and the idea of all conforming and striving towards a goal they have no say over, and putting all faith into a gem they barely know on a deeper level. All of them must be same, all of Homeworlds were tyrants, and wanted them dead, they had to give Homewolrd a taste of its own medicine.
Both gems inside Jade had around equal control of their form, however the effort uses for both sides where imbalanced, as physical tasks were more straining on one gem than the other. Their combat, form, and speed seemed very balanced, Jade's speed was faster than any other previous form, especially with the incredibly heavy spear that they carried, but it was nothing incredibly exceptional. Jade found themself quickly losing ground to the Amethyst, and despite how tainted and uncomfortable being in such an unstable form was, parts of their personality had begun to combine further, the only differenting factor was the emotions and views they had. Jade had become more confident in her tactical assestions, and instead of holding back like a mumbling idiot, they had thought quicker and tried acting accordingly. Both sides felt too forward and restrained respectively, and Jade spoke. "Look, I hate this just as much you do, but the only way we are getting out of here is if we work together! I'm sorry, but I can't you let you try and shatter every gem you see! I know how you feel, I can feel it, I always have, but this isn't the way, there's so much you don't understand!" There was no response vocally, but there was a strong burst of anger rush through them.
Jade knew that they couldn't outrun Amethsyt, and time was limited, but if they could stun her or tire her out, they'd have just enough time to hide in some form of bush and stay undecided. It would seem this form was versatile, and compensated all of its main strengths, to be strong in all other areas.
Jade would think for a second, and would turn around, widening and lowering their stance, and using the staff part of the heavy spear to form a strong shield around it. They aligned the spear diagonally to have a better chance of stopping blows from different angles. Jade would stand their ground, and wait until the Amethyst tried attacking, then use the shield to block the attack from breaking their weapon. They assumed amethyst would be tired for a small window of time, long enough to use the sheer weight of the Spear to force her back, and hopefully knock her down. Due to the diagonal position of the spear, the blade should be near the gem's neck, and hopefully that would frighten her or make her step back further. From then, they would try and hide in a nearby bush. Once Sapphire and Amethsyt were far enough away, they would sneak away as quietly as they could to avoid detection.
They had been devised, and was only in the split second they had left to wait on her affacker.
