Name:
Imperial Topaz
Height: Imperial Topaz stands at an impressive 7' 5"
Appeared Gender:
Female
Appeared Age:
Mid 30s
Gemstone:
Square
Gemstone Location: Chest
Faction: Homeworld | Blue Diamond (Architecture / Design) -> Pink Diamond (Repurposed for arming Homeworld gems)
Corrupted: N/A
(If Corrupted)Monster Form: (Credit to Blizzard Entertainment)
Appearance: (Note: The 'armor' plates are more imagined to coverings used during crafting incase of debris and such, underneath she is varying shades of red for skin tone, and obviously keeps the same body size.)
Personality: Imperial Topaz, despite being of a similar ranking to 'aristocratic' Gems, certainly doesn't act like it. As a "Forgemaster", she often formed deeper bonds with Gems under her command - and they were composed of mostly Bismuths. She acts as more of a 'hands-on' friendly trainer, leading with joking reminders rather than cracking a whip. Some describe her off the clock as motherly, caring for those around to a greater degree than most others of her rank. She holds almost no respect for titles; only bowing her head to the Diamonds themselves, and often getting herself into trouble with offended nobles because of it. Though Imperial Topaz often worked as an architect and construction overseer, her recent assignment to match the production of Rebel weapons with ones for Homeworld was an unwanted one, as Topaz despises direct conflict with anyone.
Likes: Crafting things | Planning | Magma baths | Hanging out with Bismuths | Homeworld
Dislikes: Disorganization | Gem aristocrats | Water | Rebels | Most of Earth
Fears:
Being submerged in water | Cramped spaces | Large fusions | Not being able to work
Weapon: As seen in the appearance above, Imperial Topaz is capable of summoning up to two 'magma shortswords', which if not obvious - radiates extreme heat which is difficult for non acclimated Gems to withstand over long periods of time.
Ability 1: Immunity to extreme heat and resistance to high amounts of pressure
Ability 2:
Gem storage - similar to Pearls
History: Imperial Topaz has faithfully served the Diamond Authority for some millenia, working as a "Forgemaster" - a position which places her at the head of Gem construction teams. Despite this meaning she is permitted the rights as a high standing Aristocrat, Topaz often shrugs this often and prefers to help with the work herself. Having gained the respect of her Bismuth underlings, it is all torn away as Topaz is reassigned from Blue to Pink Diamond after it was discovered the Rebels had sourced a rogue Bismuth to manufacture weapons. Wishing for the same capability to arm Homeworld Gems who were unable to summon weapons, Pink Diamond utilized Imperial Topaz to this extent - manufacturing tools of war rather than practical structures or works of art. And to boot, most of the time the 'weapons' she makes often serve a defensive purpose, such as shields - which the thought of is preposterous to Topaz - why does Homeworld need to protect themselves against a few misguided dissidents? Surely the might of Homeworld would easily overwhelm them. Imperial Topaz, though distraught, continues to place her faith in the Authority.
Character Arcs -
- Arrives on Earth and complains about having to make weapons for a silly rebellion to her workers, prompting a question of loyalty.
- Having to engage in battle as the Homeworld encampment is assaulted, disgusted by the callous approach the other Homeworld Gems 'end' the Rebels.
- Meeting with a Rebel and attempting to convince them to stop fighting peacefully.
- Accidentally fusing after bonding with someone and then becoming disoriented and distraught at what her Diamond would say.
