Name: Fuscite
Appeared Gender: Male
Appeared Age: Unknown, there are no telling features. Fuscite appears ageless.
Gemstone: An ovular piece of Fuscite.
Gemstone location: His right forearm.
Corrupted: No.
Monster Form: Doesn't exist.
Appearance: This is Fuscite in his protective suit.Underneath the helmet, Fuscite appears genderless. His head looks similar to a mannequin with ears. His skin is a light-ish green color and his eyes are a dark green (almost same color as visor) with white pupils. Like a reverse eye coloration. His canids are also slightly more pronounced.
Personality: Fuscite is quite a complicated Gem. He is very old, having been created when Homeworld's space program was in its infancy. But due to thousands, maybe hundreds of thousands of years of doing what he was made to do, Fuscite has gone insane. Insane from seeing things no Gem should ever see and things too complex for him to understand. Insane from being in complete solitude, the only other Gems him seeing being the shattered remains of his less fortunate brethren. Because of all he's been through, seen, and done, Fuscite never talked. There wasn't much to talk about when your only companions were your holograms. He's also scared to talk. Traumatized, actually. By what, few may ever know. But, should you get him to talk, listen.
He also projects holograms in his sleep much like Pearl does.
Likes: What Fuscite likes are few and far between. Mostly because of experiences in his past. But he does like his suit. So much so, that he's never left it. It's the safest thing he knows. He also likes his ship, as it is his home. He also likes just walking around. for some reason.Among other things, Fuscite's likes and dislikes shift constantly. Those are the only three things he likes that stay the same.
Dislikes: Unlike his likes, Fuscite dislikes many, many things. Black holes, supernovas, over a million different types of flora and fauna, mechanical and navigational errors, debris, asteroids, and many more, but it shifts occasionally.
Fears: Cracking and/or shattering, over a million types of flora and fauna, losing his suit and/or ship, and other things that shift occasionally.
But he's kind of neutral on most things.
Weapon:
-Crossbow
Fuscite's weapon is a laser crossbow that looks a lot like the Nerf Crossbolt. Green is the primary color, and yellow serves to accent the green. The laser crossbow does have a somewhat slow rate of fire due to the cocking mechanism, but is extremely accurate and powerful.
-Protective Suit
While not being a summonable weapon, Fuscite's protective suit (or HOIMEA if you wanna get technical) serves to supplement Fuscite's skills. The armor itself provides a decent amount of protection, and the boots help him move faster, including on vertical and inverted surfaces. The suit also comes with a propulsion system that functions similarly to a jetpack, but much more mobile and agile, and noticeably weaker than a standard jetpack. The visor on Fuscite's helmet has a variety of viewing and scanning modes, including night vision, infrared, multiple magnification levels (No need for binoculars now!) along with several other settings. The right gauntlet houses his personal comms and serves mainly to protect his gem. The suit as a whole protects Fuscite from the elements and temperatures.
Ability 1: Footloose- Fuscite can traverse vertical and inverted surfaces without falling.
Ability 2: Holographic Projection- Fuscite can project holograms out of his gemstone. While most of these holograms are intangible, Fuscite can create holographic versions of himself that function like Holo-Pearl. These holograms are a very bright green.
Fusions: None as of yet.
History: Fuscite is old enough to be in a history book. In fact, he is in history books. Literally, they talk about him in history class.
Way back when good ol' Homeworld was just beginning to reach beyond its own planetary borders, the higher ups were worried about losing their experienced soldiers and scientists to the abyss of space and the unknown planets out there. And so they devised an operation called the Outreach Initiative, in which they mass produced a vast army of Gems; the Fuscites. The ships built for them were the equivalent of a
B-17, meant to take a beating on the way there and get to the destination, but might not be able to return or keep going after. The Fuscites were crewed on these ships, and sent off en masse to land on planets and relay their findings back to Homeworld. Nicknamed "Expendable Explorers", the Fuscites lived up to the name. As they made their way away from Homeworld, our Fuscite and his crew teamed up with two other crews, deciding it would be in everyone's interests to stick together on this long voyage. Seeing as how they all shared the same name, to distinguish each other they gave themselves numbers. Our Fuscite was Eight.
And so off went our three ships, venturing out into the deep unknown. But there are things no Gem should see, things no Gem can comprehend. Things no Gem should feel or experience. But, almost by pure survival instinct and luck, Fuscite managed to survive. Generations later, he managed to find his way to Earth. However, on the way down, his old ship was rocked by a heavy storm and attacked by a swarm of aerial Corrupted Gems. That's where this newest chapter starts off...
There's just too much history I have written down on paper here for it all to get put on here in a reasonable amount of time.So I'll reveal it later in chunks or whatever as I go along. Character development or whatever.
