Name: Citrine
Appeared Gender: Female
Appeared Age: 23
Gemstone: Golden Citrine
Gemstone Location: She has two citrine gems. The larger one is located in the hollow of her throat, while the smaller gem is embedded in the back of her left hand.
Corrupted: No
Appearance:
Personality: Quiet, serious, stoic. These are all words that could aptly describe the first impression that Citrine leaves on all she meets. However, this is not her true nature. Citrine is in truth a very caring individual, one who has seen countless planets become turned into gems. The announcement that Rose Quartz made only served to confirm her suspicions. She expresses immense hatred for homeworld gems, due to a perceived carelessness towards the lives of other species, and sometimes even other gems. However, the same cannot be said of other Crystal Gems, considering her affiliation with them. Due to this, she warms up to members of the Crystal gems rather quickly, and to regular humans even faster. She is a woman of high honor and possesses a high moral compass. However, despite this, she is very critical of her failures, and sees fusion as one of, if not the most intimate thing gems can do. As such, she refuses to fuse with another gem without their express permission, and will only do so for very short times when it is absolutely necessary. However, she occasionally drops hints that if she finds someone who captures her heart, she would be a little more willing to properly fuse.

Fears: Spiders, Loss, and the concept of death
Weapons: Like every gem, Citrine has her own weapon, which has its basic form being a saw blade like shield. This weapon has two extra forms, made specifically to help her fight at various ranges: For close to mid ranged combat, her shield can turn into a moderately long bladed cutlass and for short ranges, her shield may turn into a bright orange dagger.
Light Control: Citrine is capable of manipulating existing light at will, and can even create light out of nowhere. This ability scales in power with Citrine, making it a very weak ability at the moment, only capable of simple manipulations such as blinding flashes and focused beams that burn.
Shadow Manipulation: The embodiment of her rage, Citrines ability to manipulate shadows is always at a slightly higher power than her control over light, allowing her to use it as a solid mass, or use it to obscure her own location at her current level of power.
Fusions: N/A, but for reference, her fusion dance style is Salsa.
History: A very old gem, Citrine herself doesn't even remember her age. What she does remember however, is how the gems systematically went from world to world, establishing Kindergartens, with gems inevitably popping up, and the planet strangely becoming like the homeworld. Like all gems, Citrine learned to defend herself, struggling with her powers for some time, and even to this day does she struggle with Shapeshifting. However, by her own choice, she refused to fight in the many wars that the gems held against other races, pretending to not be able to summon any weapons or have any useful combative ability. For thousands of years, she held this Charade. Then...they came to earth. Citrine fell for the beautiful planet at first sight, vanishing from the custody of her fellow gems to hide out amongst the humans, always keeping her twin gems hidden. Unlike the majority of gems however, rather than ending up in the states, Citrine and her small group of colonists ended up warping into a little island country called Greece. For a time, Citrine herself stuck to the forests of Greece, sparse as they might have been. This turned out to end in her favor. In her nomadic wanderings through the forests, she found a crumbling ruin, protected by a translucent bubble. She could tell that the original gem that had created the bubble had been powerful, as the animals and native inhabitants of the forest simply ignored it, as if it wasn't there. While she hadn't been able to put a finger on it, something had drawn Citrine to this location.
Not consciously, no. Rather, it was a subconscious pull towards the area. After a long time spent deliberating, she tentatively placed her hand against the bubble. Almost immediately, a section of the bubble gave way, allowing her to pass through it unharmed. What waited within was not a trap, but a test. She wandered the temple for many days, using her powers to fight off all the beasts and fairly weak corrupted gems that were inhabiting the temple, before finally making her way to the heart of it. Before her, there was one last test. A puzzle box. At first, she assumed that the four gems on each face corresponded to one of the four directions. However, that assumption led to a fight with stronger and stronger corrupted gems. Eventually, after many, MANY days of attempting to solve it, Citrine did it. She opened the box, unlocking the secret treasure of the ruin she had discovered: A gem artefact. She knew not what it was capable of, but she knew that she was not leaving it there, not after what she had gone through to get it. She left, the band placed snugly on her forearm, granting her an additional power that would prove useful in the battles she didn't know were to come. Eventually however, she heard Rose Quartz, a gem she knew only by name, announce the true agenda of the Homeworld, along with the formation of the "Crystal Gems" and the destruction of the space warps effectively trapping all gems on Earth. Barely containing her anger, she swiftly joined the ranks of the Crystal Gems, throwing her help in to defend the planet that she had fallen in love with, along with the people living on it.

Arc A: Sunrise
This is your standard love interest plot. This is something I plan on spending a lot of time on, provided I can find a female gem to get with her. It'll address her critical nature, but only briefly, as I would prefer to spend more time on her ideas about Fusion and its intimacy.
Plot B: Eclipse
This is going to go into effect the moment she makes a mistake that gets someone hurt, addressing her critical nature and secret self-lothing in depth.
