CHRYSOPRASE
appeared gender: female
appeared age: early twenties
gemstone: chrysoprase
gemstone location: throat
corrupted: No
appearance: Refer to the left, the most boring gem design ever conceived.
personality: Chrysoprase is a fairly young gem, and having had spent most of her time on her mother planet, is very anxious on Earth. While her training prepared her for what her job would be like, she still could not quite have fathomed just how alien this new planet could be. Had it not have been for the whole stranding and rebel situation, Chrysoprase's curiosity would have shined through during her time on Earth. Instead, she's far too afraid to be fascinated with anything. Even worse, now she has to be afraid of the most familiar thing to her -- other gems. She is very loyal to the diamond triad, as she's never had a reason not to be. For this reason the idea of the Crystal Gems is very confusing to her. Who would abandon home for some strange little planet and their strange talking fauna?
Being inexperienced, she knows little other than what she's been taught and trained for. As a scout, however, she has a good memory and can easily map out territory in her head.

likes/dislikes: +exploring (when accompanied), +familiarity, +snow is a pretty cool thing that happens on this planet
- the defectors, - being on Earth alone, - contact with humans or animals

fears: being stranded on earth forever, corruption, the gems that would rebel against homeworld -- what could they be thinking?? Earth animals also make her very uncomfortable.
weapon: Chrysoprase's wields a military fork, which is usually drawn out with only two prongs, with which she uses to skewer enemies. Occasionally she may summon it with three or four prongs. Since the head of the weapon is much larger than her gemstone, the fork usually takes a moment to materialize once the pole itself is withdrawn.
ability 1 (mass manipulation): the ability to manipulate her mass allows this gem to be either as light as a feather or as heavy as one to two tons. While it is easy to maintain a light mass, the latter is much more difficult and can take its toll on stamina over time. In addition to this, the heavier she makes herself, the slower her movements become.
ability 2 (none): she currently has no second ability, though she may learn to develop sound conversion later on to use with her military fork
history: Homeworld born and only a few hundred years old, Chrysoprase is a relatively inexperienced gem compared to many of her comrades. Created for the purpose of helping to scout out the surfaces of potential planets for homeworld's interests, she falls under Yellow Diamond's command. Having finished her training back home, Earth is her very first experience off-planet, and was a rather pleasant one until the warps went down and effectively trapped all gems on the alien planet. Even worse, many of her fellow scouts had returned home prior to the destruction of the warps as they had found their mission on Earth basically completed. Now,
separated from home and her far more knowledgeable, confident superiors, Chrysoprase needs to find her fellow loyal gems and wait out this mishap until homeworld returns with aid.

character arcs: Find and befriend homeworld loyal gems(strength in numbers!) or, in worst case scenario, pretend to be a follower of Rose Quartz and take shelter with the gems that want to protect the Earth. At least while she's a faux defector, she can get some info on them to take back to homeworld.
Perhaps actually convert to a Rose Quartz follower over time?
If she becomes friends with some of the Earth's defenders, she'll have to struggle with betraying them later on if she herself does not convert to their cause.
If she does convert, she'll struggle with the option to return to homeworld once they get the warps working again or stay and fight.
More to be added
( note: sorry if any of this is very sub-par. i started typing this far too late into the night/morning haha)
