Name: Fuscite
Appeared Gender: Female, but the HOIMEA makes her look and sound male.
Appeared Age: Unknown, there are no telling features. Fuscite appears ageless.
Gemstone: An ovular piece of Fuscite.
Gemstone location: Her right forearm.
Corrupted: No.
Monster Form: Doesn't exist.
Appearance:
Fuscite in her HOIMEA. Height-wise, Fuscite measures in at 6' 4''. Important to note: The helmet opens up like Ant-Man's helmet does.
Personality: Fuscite is quite a complicated Gem. She is very old, having been created when Homeworld's space program was in its infancy. But due to thousands, maybe hundreds of thousands of years of doing what she was made to do, Fuscite has gone insane. Insane from seeing things no Gem should ever see and things too complex for her to understand. Insane from being in complete solitude, the only other Gems her seeing being the shattered remains of her less fortunate brethren. Because of all she's been through, seen, and done, Fuscite never talked. There wasn't much to talk about when your only companions were your holograms.
She also projects holograms in his sleep much like Pearl does.
Likes: What Fuscite likes are few and far between. Mostly because of experiences in her past. But she does like her suit. So much so, that she's never left it. Yet. It's the safest thing she knows. She also liked her ship, as it was her home. She also likes just walking around, for some reason. Among other things, Fuscite's likes and dislikes shift constantly. Those are the only three things she likes that stay the same.
Dislikes: Unlike her likes, Fuscite dislikes many, many things. Black holes, supernovas, over a million different types of flora and fauna, mechanical and navigational errors, debris, asteroids, and many more, but it shifts occasionally.
Fears: Cracking and/or shattering, over a million types of flora and fauna, losing her suit and/or ship (now just the suit due to the ship's destruction) , and other things that shift occasionally.
But she's kind of neutral on most things.
Weapons:
- Green Hand
The 'Green Hand' is a 'sword' that extends from his lower arm outward, into four blades, almost like a hand. Hence the name. It is the same shade of green as the accents on Fuscite's armor.
This is what Fuscite's weapon looks like.
-Protective Suit ( Homeworld Outreach Initiative Mobile Exploration Armor )
While not being a summonable weapon, Fuscite's protective suit (or HOIMEA if you wanna get technical) serves to supplement Fuscite's skills. The armor itself provides a decent amount of protection, and the boots help her move faster, including on vertical and inverted surfaces. The suit also comes with a propulsion system that functions similarly to a jetpack, but much more mobile and agile, and noticeably weaker than a standard jetpack. The visor on Fuscite's helmet has a variety of viewing and scanning modes, including night vision, infrared, multiple magnification levels (No need for binoculars now!) along with several other settings. The right gauntlet houses her personal comms and serves mainly to protect her gem. The suit as a whole protects Fuscite from the elements and temperatures, and, thanks to technology Fuscite had reverse-engineered, can camouflage itself. This does NOT make her invisible, just quite hard to see, especially if she is not moving.
Ability 1: Footloose- Fuscite can traverse vertical and inverted surfaces without falling.
Ability 2: Holographic Projection- Fuscite can project holograms out of her gemstone. While most of these holograms are intangible, Fuscite can create holographic versions of herself that function like Holo-Pearl. These holograms are a very bright green.
Fusions: None as of yet.
History: Fuscite is old enough to be in a history book. In fact, she is in history books. Literally, they talk about her in history class.
Way back when good ol' Homeworld was just beginning to reach beyond its own planetary borders, the higher ups were worried about losing their experienced soldiers and scientists to the abyss of space and the unknown planets out there. And so they devised an operation called the Outreach Initiative, in which they mass produced a vast army of Gems; the Fuscites. The ships built for them were the equivalent of a
B-17, meant to take a beating on the way there and get to the destination, but might not be able to return or keep going after. The Fuscites were crewed on these ships, and sent off en masse to land on planets and relay their findings back to Homeworld. Nicknamed "Expendable Explorers", the Fuscites lived up to the name. As they made their way away from Homeworld, our Fuscite and her crew teamed up with two other crews, deciding it would be in everyone's interests to stick together on this long voyage. Seeing as how they all shared the same name, to distinguish each other they gave themselves numbers. Our Fuscite was Eight.
And so off went our three ships, venturing out into the deep unknown. It took them roughly a week to get out of Homeworld's solar system, and from there, the group continually planethopped, systematically moving from system to system. The rocky planet 294 was where the first casualty happened. Four was lost to an earthquake, as she didn't make it to the ships in time. After exiting that system, One, Two, Three, Five, Six, and Seven were lost when the ship was destroyed in a severe asteroid storm. The two remaining ships ventured still, mapping out countless stars, nebulae, black holes, and the like. It was much later the next casualties occurred. The group had landed on a solitude planet orbiting far from it's star. There, they discovered crystals covered the entire planet, and the exploration team reported feeling odd. Eight was on the nose turret of her ship, so she wasn't on the team. Later, the exploration team discovered a huge crystal at the center of the planet; it's core. Once the team had gotten close to investigate it, shards flew out of the core, instantly killing Fourteen and forcing Twelve to retreat into her gem. The rest of the team, Eleven, Twenty-One, and Nineteen, were cut down by crystal shards as they made their way out back towards the ship. And, to be honest, there were no ships waiting for them. The two remaining vessels, one damaged from an earlier excursion onto another planet, quickly left that planet. Without a doubt, they reported that planet as a no-go to Homeworld. The further they went, it seemed, the more hostile the planets had become; as if the universe was being spiteful towards them. They found a wormhole in deep space, and, not knowing what it was, decided to tempt Fate. They exited the wormhole and flew straight into a large space battle between two factions older than Homeworld. Far older. They managed to fly past the war, and onto the planet below. There, they found a planet rich in minerals and ore. But the wildlife had evolved to eat such things, and Gems were not much different. The whole crew of Twenty's ship was devoured by the terrifying beasts. They left the planet and the two factions to fight amongst themselves. Whilst in space, Eight and Nine hopped over to help crew Twenty's ship. Much later, the two ships were tracked down by several ships from the earlier space battle, who disabled the other ship and brought it in via tractor beam. Their shields made the turrets useless. Twenty's ship barely escaped, and Eight had to re-position as the nose turret was now non-operational. Several systems later, Eight was the only one left after the rest of the group was killed by seemingly harmless plants. So, Eight continued on, exploring planets here and there in complete solitude.
But there are things no Gem should see, things no Gem can comprehend. Things no Gem should feel or experience. But, almost by pure survival instinct and luck, Fuscite managed to survive. Generations later, she managed to find her way to Earth. However, on the way down, her old ship was rocked by a heavy storm and attacked by a swarm of aerial Corrupted Gems. That's where this newest chapter starts off...
There's just too much history I have written down on paper here for it all to get put on here in a reasonable amount of time.So I'll reveal it later in chunks or whatever as I go along. Character development and stuff.
