"...but I must admit, the traffic flows both ways on this one." Fulgur watched as Carbide removed her visor and sat fascinated. He was honored that she was opening up to him like this and taken away at how she looked without her visor. Maybe it was the setting sun making the water around them sparkle, or how her damp hair shined in the dying light, or perhaps it was that without her visor he was able to see so much more detail in her face, maybe it was all three. But at that moment Fulgur could help but stare, to draw in every detail of the gem that sat before him. It was something Fulgur never really experienced before, the sensation of trying to take in so much all at once, but knowing you'll never truly understand what it set before you. He was intrigued, astounded, enamored, as if he was watching the birth of the universe being played out before him.
Say something stupid, you have world upon worlds of stored information! Use it you clod! There's over 1,022,000 words in just the English language alone and your approximate knowledge of the world and sentence structure to bring people to their knees! SAY SOMETHING! His mind was screaming at him and racing as his body sat frozen. He was capable of running trillions of calculations a second at will, but this moment he was in brought everything to a grinding halt by the simple act of watching Carbide remove her visor. He had never experienced anything like this before and he doubted he ever would again. But against everything he was taught , everything he knew, and everything he could learn, only one thing came to mind. He leaned in close, and moved so his face was only a few inches from Carbides and as he spoke, his mind set to work to say something that would be the greatest lines every said in the history of spoken words.
"...you're beautiful..."
