Information:Corrupted Gems are gems that, through a variety of circumstances, have become mentally,physically or emotionally unstable and as such their gem has become 'infected' by the viral corruption. Each gem is affected differently by the virus and in many gems the disease can lie dormant for a long period of time .The corruption process isn't something instantaneous. It takes time to begin physically effecting the gem and in its early and middle stages the gemstone can still retain there human form and blend with other. It only in the final and later stages that the gem can assume a monster form along with a normal form(Although in the late stages it will take more effort to keep a human form).

Appearance:They look like any other Gems but in the later stages of the corruption they can assume a beastly or monstrous forms

Meta Wise: Corrupted Gems function on the same mechanics as normal gems, the only difference is that they also have there monster form. You can choose how quickly or slowly the corruption effects your gem aswell just remember the monster form is more of a aesthetic thing as it gives you no boost in power but it does stop you from summoning your weapon. Depending on the transformation the physical traits of the form may become advantages though (Ie: bird monster would allow the user to fly, snake monster may be more agile then the gem in its normal form)
