The pad hummed gently as the warp light faded around three figures on its surface. The largest, a Male going by the name Ico, stepped off the solid platform and looked around. The garden was in disarray as he recalled it from his previous trip. A quick glance around made him relax. "Looks clear to me. No problems, but no other gems either." He said, stepping forwards towards the large statue fountain in the center of the garden. "From what I can tell, this is Rose Quartz. The one who sent the message we all heard. If there's any gems around, they should at least visit here sometime to check on the fountain. I hope."
He sits on the edge of the fountain, the water trickling softly behind him. Now all the group had to do was wait and hope someone turned up...
A Jade and her Plus sized Olive Pearl stop and Observe the statue. "Even as a statue she is quite lovely. As are you my Friend." She hugs the Pearl as they both blush. "Let's keep looking around." Big pearl nods and they continue to explore.
"You know ever if it is over grown it's still lovely here. I hope we find other gems." Big pearl nods in agreement as she finds some flowers and picks them for her friend. She thinks to herself. "I'm so lucky to have a friend like Jade. She likes me for me. I mean the way she stands up for me. This is why I stay. I love her. But I'm too shy to even say it."
Moments would pass before a light emitting from the warp pad appeared and fade away to show a purple gem surprised at the company. "Oh... Am I interrupting anything?" He'd ask, walking off the warp pad and to the statue with his hands linked together. "Unlikely to see such a crowd here...," he glanced at the gems around him "Except that one time...," he mumbled under his breath.
"Yet, I can't say I've seen you three around here. Are you new, or have we just never met?" Fluorite raised a brow and tilted his head, his eyes settling to the large male gem.
"And another question," he continued, "Is there anything I can help you with? I would be more than glad to give assistance."
Ico was zoning out slightly when he heard the warp pad activate down the path. He hopped to his feet quickly, putting himself between the newcomer and the others as he studied the new arrival. He was rather surprised to see another male gem emerging from the beam of light and watched cautiously. He slid back a little, letting the newcomer approach the statue. "We... have been keeping away from the fighting recently. Though its seeming harder and harder to avoid."
He stopped a few feet from flourite and gave a polite bow. "We are looking for some information if possible. My name is Ico, and these are my companions, Jade and Pearl." He said, eyes never leaving Flourite's. He hoped pearl was keeping an eye out around for anyone else to avoid them being snuck up on. "We are looking for a crystal gem. We have some information for them and are looking for a partnership, of sorts. " He said cautiously, aware this information could trigger a confrontation.
The wind chose this moment to blow noisily through the garden, a few rose petals settling in the water as he waited for a reply, or an attack.
Jade and her Pearl jump at the sound of a new voice and turn to greet the new comer. "I'm Jade and this is my friend Olive Pearl but we call her big Pearl." Big pearl blushes and nods. "She's shy. Are you a crystal gem? I've heard thaat's what Rose's followers call themselves. Hmm what kind of gem are you? Nice color by the way. Big Pearl and I left homeworld. Because of what was happening to the mystics. They were being shattered. When I talked to Blue Diamond bout it, I was nearly Shattered myself if not for my assistant and great Friend. What's your story? Everyone has one." Big Pearl nods and goes to look around more.
Fluorite smiled and was glad they weren't wanting to fight. "I don't wanna fight either. I'm glad we can agree on something. And I must say, you are a very tall... brute man." Fluorite was amazed and couldn't keep his eyes off at something so foreign to him.
"A pleasure to meet you three. I so happen to be a Crystal Gem myself." He waved his hand in the air which led him to performing a dramatic and respectful bow, "I'm Fluorite and my past is a bit foggy, like myself." Fluorite gave a wink to all the gems and giggled.
"But because I don't know you too well and your ability..." Fluorite snapped his fingers and two clones appeared at his side in a puff of purple smoke. "On a side note, you're so protective, Ico. A trait I cherish and I'm sure you'd understand for my clones."
Ico stepped back, clearly wondering if he was being told the truth, or if this person was about to attack them. "Jade... be careful." He said, eyes not leaving Fluorite. "You say that you are a crystal gem, then prove it." He said, his eyes narrowing. "Where is your symbol?" He stated, not caring for excuses. Those clones giving him a bad vibe.
"So fluorite, it looks like we are at an impass. Though as of yet, I have not drawn my weapon, and all I want is proof. If you think my intentions impure, then you can easily stand back on the pad and Leave." He states, crossing his arms. "However...."
The gem smirks, his eyes narrowing as he looks down at the original fluorite, a concealed annoyance burning its way through his gaze. "If you try and attack me, or my charge, I will smash your gem into powder so fine that Homeworld will never be able to find all the pieces after I scatter them to the corners of this planet." His eyes snap back open as he stares at you. "Have I made myself clear?"
Ico hoped this would work. Most gems seemed to back down if given the impression another gem was in such confidence of its abilities.
"This could go alot better." Big pearl nods and looks at her as if she doesn't want to shatter a fellow Gem. "We hay have to shatter him. It can't be helped." Big pearl nods and readies for a fight."Why are you doing this Flourite? We came here peacefully. With no malice in our hearts. But you I thought Crystal gems were the protectors of this world. Unless you are a Home world gem come to destroy me and my friends. Which is what i'm leaning towards it the moment." Big Pearl goes into a defensive stance Guarding her. "Big Pearl I dpn't want you to be shattered." She cries out. "I know Jade and I want to protect my master and friend. It's gladly die for you if I must." With a serious look Jade had never seen in her eyes she readies for a fight.
"Symbol? Symbol... We don't get symbols, at least I don't think. Nope no symbols. On another note, how would you know Crystal Gems need a symbol? You're looking for a Crystal Gem yet look in this fountain." Fluorite shook his head.
"Oooh confidence~ Fierce~ I love it even more," he said, giggling with a wink. "But I'm not going anywhere. You jump to conclusions and all I want to do is help. Oh and... Your gem could make a fine collection for human jewelry!" Fluorite jumped and laughed yet quickly stopped. "I joke! I joke! Yet, you don't scare me. None of you... I know you're new here. Looking for Crystal Gems, at Rose's Fountain. If you were here for an extended amount of time, then you would know to search at the Temple." Fluorite grinned.
Fluorite gave an angry and irritated glare at the two behind Ico preparing to fight. "I'm not... fighting. I'll make a deal because I can't tell if you are neutral in factions or simply from Homeworld. I'll only say it once," Fluorite and the clones elaborated, looking sternly at each gem. "The two lovely couple behind you, Ico, gain distance between us. We'll talk and they are away. I fear my safety and you fear for yours. In turn, my clones...," He waved his hands as his clones vanished from their solid form into a puff of purple smoke which formed above them. Moments after, the dark purple cloud lightened up to blend with the sky. "...disappear."
"I'm honestly tired of fighting, and the two behind you look like they are bloodthirsty," he tried to say in the a polite manner. "Yet, they're scaring me... Do we have a deal Ico?"
Ico could tell Peal and Jade had had to deal with little in the way of confrontations, though he was pleased to see fluorite making his clones vanish. His stance slackened slightly as he listened to fluorite's compromise. It was reasonable, and he could see that Pearl and Jade would probably not be able to handle a heavy fight.
"Pearl? Keep jade company. I'll see what Flourite wants and we'll be back shortly. If anything goes wrong, get her to the pad." He said, tilting his head in their direction. He turned his attention back to the smaller gem. "Alright, lets walk and talk. Those two are more scared than anything else. Jade had to flee after her fellow gems were shattered by some of Blue diamond's forces." He explained, walking further from the warp to keep the other two a good distance away. "We escaped homeworld just before the warp pads went down and have been avoiding contact with both homeworld gems and crystal gems until now. We didn't even know of a temple until you just mentioned it."
The large male stopped and stretched a little, letting out a sigh as he calmed down. "After the escape from homeworld, we are a little wary of others, however, it seems that if we're going to be here, then we should at least get organised and fight. " He continued. Recalling his own isolation as he waited for word of homeworld. "Even you can see that my companions are terrified of being caught again."
He turned back to fluorite. "I guess that you need to decide if I'm telling the truth or not. I can't think of a way I can convince you fully."
Fluorite walked along with Ico and smiled. He elevated his hand and snapped, the dark purple cloud hovering over them vanished. "Yes! Walk and talk!"
The purple gem nodded his head as he listened to Ico's explanation. "Oh yes, yes. Shatters and fear, I understand. Avoiding contact from both did seem like a proper precaution, but I don't think you being caught should be a big issue. Many gems are on Earth, some from Homeworld and others who are a part of Crystal Gems. Then you have the in between," he shrugged at his last sentence.
"I believe you are telling the truth. How awful to be living in fear though, ugh! Oh well. You must tell your friends, though, that jumping into a fight like that is something that shouldn't be executed. Oooh, how that happens so often. Chances are, they could get shattered like that," Fluorite explained to Ico.
"Onto other matters. Why did you search for a Crystal Gem? You said you wanted to avoid contact with both Homeworld and Crystal Gems, but what happened to change your thought?"
Ico glanced back at the other two, who were staying surprisingly quiet. "I think you can tell my companions have been becoming a bit more... fearful lately. We keep running into several dangerous looking gems, and as homeworld are the ones who attacked us first, we can't really see an issue with helping the crystal gems. They actually seem to care about each other and this place."
He sighs, rubbing his cheek absent mindedly with a finger. "Theres also the issue of combat. You can probably tell these two need a bit of practice. I can fight, but they would need some training. Its not like we expect this to be free of course, We do have our unique skills we can bring to the table." He looks over Fluorite and wonders just what the gems are like. Were they all this.... unique?
"Sorry, I'm not used being the one to explain. I'm better at fighting than talking."
"Aww, you really care about them. I'll do what I can to help. But, fighting-," Fluorite shook his head, "that's a no no. Training to fight should be really only for self-defense. The last thing we want to do is use violence to solve problems. However, there are many powerful gems roaming Earth and more to come."
Fluorite listened to him as he said he wasn't good at explaining. "Fighting better than talking? That's also something that needs to be worked on. Earlier you say you don't want to fight, but you want to exercise you fighting skills. It's a bit odd, so interesting."
Fluorite moved around Ico, inspecting him all over. "Very large, very. Unique. I haven't seen many... broad-shouldered gems like you."
Ico shook his head. "No, I said I can fight, not that I want to." He says, before turning a little, wondering why fluorite was circling him. "My size? You seem to be forgetting combat gems are supposed to be mainly big. Both Jaspers and Amethysts for example are also very large. Black Jasper is a bit rarer, but we're still combat gems." He says, raising a curious eyebrow. "Do... you not have many of us around here?" He asks, wondering if things are worse than he thought.
He doubted from fluorite's reaction that he would recognise each and every kind of combat gem homeworld had, picking something very similar to his own size and coloration. Only someone with an intricate knowledge of gem types, and someone he had shown his gem to, would be able to know the difference. "So... do we have an agreement? Will you take us to visit the others to see how we can help each other?"
"Your gem is foreign to me. Here on Earth, various gems typically seem to take on a new form. My memory of Homeworld is something I'm not interested in, especially with the circumstances going on right now," he snarled.
"Agreement? You mean 'Will you do us a favour?' And you mention each other...," Fluorite waved his hands in a confusing manner. "Each other. That word makes it seem like you're playing the game for yourself. Clarify on your intentions to seek more," he said, tilting his head.
"Oh! Also to mention; in these days Crystal Gems are scattered all over the place it seems. Disorganized and never grouped together. Finding them should be easy, though some Homeworld gems could show up undercover. I can't guarantee I can get you many of them, but I can take you to the Temple and announce for some to gather. Will you like that?"

This Roleplay is a prequel to Steven Universe to an extent with some slight retconing and its own progression to the story that will turn out differently to how stuff plays out in the show. Thanks to the message by Rose Quartz several gems are rising up to protect Earth and have labelled themselves as the Crystal Gems. Others on earth are remaining aligned to Homeworld though despite the isolation of Earth from Homeworld
All gems on earth are still stranded, the communication hub is still offline and all the space warps are shattered, it has now been revealed that this is the work of Rose Quartz and her small group known as the Crystal gems. They have rebelled against Homeworld and have chosen to protect the Earth (Trapping themselves on Homeworld to keep the warps down).
Now both sides are fighting among themselves along with fighting against the 'Corruption' a virus is infecting many gems turning most of them into mindless monsters, but those with a stronger will seem to becoming something more sinister.
The Game has changed now. The question has finally been posed, are you against Homeworld or allied with them. Or do you have your own agenda that may or may not been assisted by the ‘Corruption’.
