Aquamarine Star was walking along the perimeter of the Kindergarden, frowning as she looked down on it. She had spent the last few weeks getting used to her new form, and although it was a wonderful, exciting experience, Aqua Star knew that the time had come to see the damage Home World had done. The feeling of the dead earth beneath her bare feet made her shudder. As a star, she saw Home World's treachery, but to see it up close, to feel it, made Aqua Star feel sick. "I won't let this happen again," she murmured to herself. Aqua Star was a peaceful Gem, using wisdom as her weapon, but despite her neutrality, she knew that Home World had to be stopped. Eventually, Aqua Star tired of the dismal scene, so she began to walk through the forest, feeling thankful for the rich, green life of Earth.
Slowly echoing through the trees, accompanied by the creaking and cracking of the old dead trees, repeated a voice sounding identical to Aquamarine Star's voice. But it wasn't an echo, it too strong and even repeated slightly differently that how she had spoke. "Won't let this happen again. Again. Again! Won't let this HAPPEN!" The trees cracked and the dead branches rustled as if pushed by a wind that wasn't there. This dead forest was only a few hundred yards from a still living and dense forest that the kindergarten had been unable to decay after it was decommissioned. The echo returned, this time louder and seemingly closer. "I WON'T let this happen AGAIN!" But then following this voice came one she hadn't heard before, "GET OUT!"
Aqua Star was shocked by the sudden, angry yell that reverberated through the air. Aqua Star felt no fear, just anxiety that whatever made the noise would be something that would be something to fear. "Hello?" She called out. "Whoever thou art, I mean you no harm!" Aqua Star tried to pinpoint the location of the sound, but the echoes had faded away. She cast a quick glance towards the sky, but the stars bore no information of anything that could assist her. "I suppose I will have to find this Gem on my lonesome," Aqua Star said with a sigh. She continued her search, listening for any last fading echoes. Every once in a while, Aqua would think she heard something, but it would mostly be a dead branch in the wind. Except... There was no wind. "Please, show yourself," Aqua Star asked.
The voice yelled out again, echoing harshly through the forest of dead trees. "Show yourself," "OUT!" "Hello? Hello? Hello?" "GET OUT!" "Hello? I mean... Whoever thou art... HARM! Harm... You!!!" "GeT oUt!!!" The branches surround her from above began to shake violently as though there was something up among them, but with all the movement and loud echoes it was difficult to pin point what was moving the trees and where the voice was coming from. There suddenly was a sharp banging sound like the rapid beat of a drum or the firing of an automatic gun, followed by the growls and roars of violent animals despite none being able to be seen. But as the trees began to quit shaking, so did the voices and sounds begin to die out until there was deathly silence all around her.
Aqua Star looked around, trying to find the source of the chaos. "Harm... YOU!!!" The voice screamed. Aqua Star's gem glowed, and she had to focus on keeping herself from summoning her weapon. Despite her usually peaceful, calm nature, Aqua Star felt threatened and confused. "Calm down," she muttered to herself. "You've seen worse than this." Suddenly, the wild shaking in the trees diminished, and the voices and screams faded. Aqua Star took a deep breath, and her gem ceased to glow. Aqua Star held up her hands to show that she wasn't a threat. "My name is Aquamarine Star," she announced. "But you may call me Aqua Star, or whatever you choose. I swear by the stars, I mean you no harm. I'm sorry if I disturbed you, but please, show yourself so that I may speak with you."
There was a long period of silence, the trees didn't move or make a sound. But slowly the sound of soft clicking broke the silence. It was soft and gentle, as a small girl stepped out from behind one of the thick dead tree trunks. The girl had long bone white hair capped by a bear skull she wore almost like a hat. She stepped out cautiously, body tensed up to run away if she had to. She began to click her mouth, clearly the one making the all the sounds. She slowly repeated Aqua Star's words and voice, changing the words to match her question. "You... Mean... No harm...?" The small girl kept close to the tree, ready to bolt at the first sign of trouble. She began clicking lightly again, as if using her sounds like sonar to sense around her.
Aqua Star waited as the silence continued, until it was finally interrupted by a quiet series of clicks. Aqua watched as a small Gem crept out from behind a tree. She had long, white hair and pale skin, her eyes hidden by her hair. She was small, and Aqua Star was amazed that she was the source of the chaos. The tiny Gem was visibly afraid, her body tense and trembling. "You... Mean... No harm...?" She said, repeating Aqua's words, and in a perfect echo of her voice as well. Aqua Star bent down, slowly, so she wouldn't scare the stranger, and held out her hand, smiling warmly. "It's okay," she whispered. "I won't hurt you. Who are you?" Aqua Star took a quick glance at the stars, getting a brief look at the Gem's history. Apparently she was an underdeveloped Kindergarden Gem, and her name... "Your name is... Ivory?" Aqua Star asked.
Ivory blinked hard, surprised and a little frightened that this gem knew her name. Amongst the animals, Ivory never had to speak with words, so she had never spoken her own name until she had met a pair of gems a few months earlier. When she escorted them out of the forest she had believed it would be the last she saw of any gems for a long time. Ivory shuttered weakly, scared that the pair of gems had told the gems of the kindergarden where she was. But still, this gem before her seemed kind and gentle enough to not make her run away. She slowly repeated the gem's word. "Ivory..." Ivory's hair fell lightly in front of her eyes as she then echoed. "Who are you?"
Aqua Star noticed Ivory's surprise. She could understand why; the little Gem was probably bewildered that this strange blue Gem that she had never met before knew her name. Aqua Star sat down slowly; making sure she didn't frighten Ivory. "I'm Aqua Star," she said. "You must be quite shocked that I know your name. You see, Ivory, every being has a past and a destiny. The stars reflect the path of time, and I am a Gem who can see that path." Aqua Star glanced back up at the sky. "I was once one of the stars," she sad quietly. "I could see so many wonders... And many horrors, as well. There came a time when I knew I had to return to Earth, not only to help guide the rebels with wisdom and advice, but also to find out who I used to be, before now." Aqua looked at Ivory. "I was a Gem before I was a star. My path of time was cut off, but I was given a second chance. But I simply cannot remember who I was... So, for now, my main objective is to help others."

This Roleplay is a prequel to Steven Universe to an extent with some slight retconing and its own progression to the story that will turn out differently to how stuff plays out in the show. Thanks to the message by Rose Quartz several gems are rising up to protect Earth and have labelled themselves as the Crystal Gems. Others on earth are remaining aligned to Homeworld though despite the isolation of Earth from Homeworld
All gems on earth are still stranded, the communication hub is still offline and all the space warps are shattered, it has now been revealed that this is the work of Rose Quartz and her small group known as the Crystal gems. They have rebelled against Homeworld and have chosen to protect the Earth (Trapping themselves on Homeworld to keep the warps down).
Now both sides are fighting among themselves along with fighting against the 'Corruption' a virus is infecting many gems turning most of them into mindless monsters, but those with a stronger will seem to becoming something more sinister.
The Game has changed now. The question has finally been posed, are you against Homeworld or allied with them. Or do you have your own agenda that may or may not been assisted by the ‘Corruption’. Regardless the seeds have been placed down and although it is only the beginning the fight for or against Earth and the corruption has begun. The choice is yours for how it is shaped on the Original Steven Universe Roleplay Site.
