Name: Turquoise Facet-4D2N Cut-7XF
Appeared Gender: Female
Appeared Age: 31
Gemstone: An oval turquoise
Gemstone Location: Front of left thigh
Corrupted: No
(If Corrupted) Monster Form: A four-legged lizard with really large eyes, which runs around on its hind legs at high velocity, scratching anyone who gets too close.
Appearance:

Personality: Turquoise is one of those gems that just loves doing what she was created to do: field research. This is evident by her natural curiosity, and constant need to record any new findings. While some might find this curiosity inspiring or entertaining, others might get annoyed by it, since she can't even send these recordings to Homeworld anymore. It's this curiosity however that keeps Turquoise from losing her motivation to keep going, and it might even be the reason why she hasn't become corrupted yet. She truly hopes that one day, she'll be able to go back to Homeworld and give them every last bit of information she's gathered on Earth.
Turquoise is quite loyal to Homeworld, but not because she disagrees with the ideologies of the rebel gems. She's in fact quite gullible, and since she's never really taken the time to listen to the reasoning of the rebels, Turquoise just assumes they're evil, gem-shattering warriors with no cause other than to stop the gem forces from expanding. She was taught that Kindergartens being built was an amazing thing, which would help every gem further, and so far, no one has managed to tell her otherwise.
But besides all this loyalty to Homeworld, and constant need to gather information, Turquoise is actually a pretty nice gem, once you get to know her. She'll never try to pick a fight, since she knows she wasn't built for fighting, and she'll often try to just have a good time.
Likes: Field research, geology, Homeworld, new things
Dislikes: Rebels, fighting, being quiet
Fears: Rebels, anything that can possibly harm her (except for heights)
Weapon: Turquoise can create a grappling hook made of several loose parts (see appearance). Its primary use is to reach hard-to-reach places, but the parts can be reconfigured to do several other things. These include: a small drill to take rock samples, small precision explosives to clear out rubble, and a small bowl for collecting fluid samples. She also wears a piece of wrist tech, which allows her to store information locally. This tech isn't part of her body, and won't disappear when she's poofed.
Ability 1: At any time, Turquoise can cause a faint, blue glow to appear around her feet. Whenever this happens, she's able to hover very close to the ground, allowing her to "skate" over most surfaces. It takes her a while to pick up some speed, but when she's skating long enough, she's able to reach speeds that match a car on the highway. When she's going fast enough, she can even skate over water.
Ability 2 (undiscovered): Though she doesn't know it yet, Turquoise's second ability allows her to get a chameleon-like camouflage. It causes her body's colours to adapt to her surroundings, and can even create some simple patterns. This can make her hard to see from a distance, or even from up close when not paying attention to your surroundings. However, her gem always stays the same colour, and she's quite easy to spot when you know what you're looking at.
Fusions: None yet
History: Turquoise Facet-4D2N Cut-7XF was created on Homeworld with only one soul purpose: to scout planets, gather information, and return that information to gems who would decide if and where to build Kindergartens and outposts. She was a well made Turquoise, with little flaws concerning her abilities as a scout and field researcher. Thus she was sent to several planets to see which places were of interest to Homeworld. Her first two planets were quite worthless; they didn't contain valuable minerals, and showed very little promise as potential gem colonies. Turquoise's third planet, however, had already been marked as a perfect planet for gem colonisation.
This third planet Turquoise was sent to was also known as Earth. There had already been several other Turquoises there, who verified Earth's potential. However, Homeworld still needed gems to find the perfect spots to build Kindergartens. Turquoise was one of those gems, and once she had landed on Earth, she started traveling around, gathering samples. Whenever she had enough information on a place, she sent it to the gems responsible for building the Kindergartens that are still present this day.
Even when Earth got cut off from Homeworld, Turquoise kept gathering samples, and recording her surroundings. She's always felt confident that Homeworld will one day restore connections with Earth, so slacking was no option. But because her wrist tech doesn't allow for her to send away information anymore, she has become kind of a lone wolf; gathering information and keeping it all to herself until she can show her officials. Now, she's started to stumble upon rebels. Knowing that any information on those rebels might be valuable, Turquoise has expanded her field of research to include rebel activity.
Character Arcs: My ideas for this character currently consist of several stages.
Stage 1: Turquoise finds a rebel gem and follows and monitors her from a distance.
Stage 2: She keeps a close eye on the rebels she finds. If they notice her, she'll try to hide.
Stage 3: Either she finds other Homeworld gems and tries to help them out, or she'll get caught by the rebels.
Stage 4: Depending on what happened on stage 3, Turquoise either becomes a real member of the Homeworld loyals, or she'll get interrogated by the rebels, and perhaps even gets convinced to join them.
