"Thats right Octy, just take it one piece at a time. Whenever you have questions its best to start approaching it from the perspective of what you do know after all. Besides, there's other resources out there that you could draw on for sure. Since we have a literal diamond on the dark side of the moon right now, I am sure that for all your efforts in trying to maintain the stability of this world, that Pink could perhaps let her techs or geophysicians help you look into the matter. I know its no like we can really say that the Diamonds have to do something, but if they are fair, they won't sit on their hands. What you've done on this world is no easy thing, and whats more, you could keep doing so, all the better if you were able to put some of your own questions to bed. Really, its in everyone's best interests to give you the hand youve earned!"
Carbide's voice was getting more chipper by the moment, hopefully bringing Octy's mood with it, she recognized that the whole discourse was perhaps getting a wee bit over-charged for Gaspeite, who although she seemed to be holiding together well, was giving off a bit of a vibe for needing to attain a bit more peace.

"I haven't seen what you have done here so far, but I trust that I will, in the future. Soldiers must fight, and if it's not a war, then it's against their emotions. You are a soldier, you know what's the best for this."
She says, as she gets up and walks slowly over to the edge of the water, raising her finger and closing her eyes, talking like a drill instructor.
"This place, this is why we-
As she makes her last steps near the water, suddenly the water starts rising. Not the whole lake, but.. only a circlular shape infront of Gaspeite, just like a fountain was under the water.
Not even after the blink of an eye, faster than you can say it, a gigantic silhouette breaks through the top of the water, splashing the ground area around it. Going out of vision, the surprised gems look up at the sky, checking on what just did this. The gigantic creature was mid air, his weight plus the propulsion out of the water it just did, left it able to stay in the air for a good second. Gaspeite thinks, but she can't, she is just astonished but what happened Nobody can get a good glance on it, but it looks like a something shiny is in it's mouth, that same mouth holding malicious and big teeth. It looked like it's face was made out of an exoskeleton, or something alike, and it's body made out of, what was looking like flesh, althought it is higly possible that it was a corrupted gems, but theories aside, the creature has already landed on the other side of the lake, this time leaving 2 fins sticking out of the water as it swims back to the group's position.
"-fight. *cough*" In a swift motion, she spawns in a double-bladed voulge, and her hardlight torso armor, before walking awy from the edge of the water, looking at the other gems. She then proceeds to talk her friends such as they would feel like homeworld regiment soldiers for a second.
"We will take it down, now prepare yourselves, we're gonna have some fun!"
Octavia seemed to perk up as soon as the gigantic creature landed. "Whoa..I suppose this'll get me back to normal..somewhat." She smirked and pulled out her trademark chains, looking over at Carbi and helping her up "Looks like we got a good old fight on our hands. Let's see how quick we can knock this bad guy out." Before charging blindly into combat, Octi looked up at Gaspeite "Any suggestions for how we should try to take this out? It does look a little bit...big.." It was true, Octi wasn't sure what the best way would be to knock this thing out. They hadn't seen many..gem creatures before, so it was something that the Bloodstone wasn't exactly used to

"Aww but I was finally getting my Zen on... "
The heavy scout bemoans in a catty manner, hopping to her feet once Octy had risen from her place, rising soon after and brushing off her pants appearance modifiers.. like that would matter in a moment or two anyway! Her bloodstone friend was always a maestro to see in hand to hand combat, but it would be interesting to watch her against something so... large, and in such a tricky environment as water, and as for Gaspeite, well this would be the first time to see her stuff at all, although she had gotten a good up close look at the keen edge of that halberd when she first came across her at her pod's crash down site.
A flash and a pop can be heard from behind the two, then Carbide steps up, transparent mauve armor bust plate and hand guards and her visor expanded to full face, with the bulk of her signature Ballistic Cudgel, a roughly four and a half foot long summoned weapon, in the shape of a heavy pirate ship cannon from Earth's past, with offset handles to hold the thing with. She wasn't sure if she had ever brought this weapon out around Gaspeite, last she checked she hadn't since early on she had no desire to worry the newly landed fusion by rolling out all the bells and whistles of her prototype self.
The weapon seems to emit a hollow metallic growl as its ratcheted ring near its butt, spins and grinds along as the weapon idles up.. "well from what I can see.. we can fight it in the water, or make it come out and face us. That would get it out of it's element and into ours, then maybe we can get that thing over onto its back and get at it's tummy! Although with it in the water, we cant quite tell just what we are up against, or how big it really is."

Gaspeite was looking over how the other gems were preparing. Octi and his chains, but Carbid would be wearing more of an armor that she would see on a quartz, or a mineral, even though you could feel that it fits well with the scout style. On that note, Gaspeite remembers she herself has a hardlight chestpiece, that she forgot about since she had never used it for ages. She spins her halberd a couple of times very fast, before strictly stopping it as she stomps the ground with the end of the pole side, as an orange hardlight chestpiece going fromher waist to her neck, covering her arm arms and bearing very present shouder pads. It is clearly a defensive armor, but didn't hinder most of her combat movements.
"The best would be to catch it and fight on ground, but we have no idea of that creature's land fighting abilities. The best for us would be to grab it while it jumps out, and fight it on the ground, but it's very unlikely it's first gonna jump out, and second even then, we're not sure about catching it either...
She takes out her screen, turning it to the other gems who see a slightly blurred image from what looks like an underview of the creature while it was flying. It looks like an oversized reddish monstruous fish with a visible exoskelekoton cranium which would be bone-grey'ish. You can also see what looks like a pair of arms or legs, with webbed claws, surely looking like they could be used to walk on land, even though it doesn't seem stable.
"It's close, I saw it's fin over there seconds ago, I think it might try to attack us next time, supposing it was only examining us the first time. When we get it on land or if we get it on land, we first need to take care of those leg-like limbs it has.
Gaspeite then closes her screen, turning over to the water. She sees bubbles at the top of the water somewhere around 15 yards from the edge of the water before the fusion gets in a fighting-ready position, glancing at Octavian and Carbide.
Octi nodded, watching Gaspeite go at the creature and taking note of what looked like it's underside. "Sounds like a plan!" Octavian smirked and got all six of his chains spinning, ready to take on this massive beast. "I'll try my best to sweep it out from it's leg limbs, if I can get it to go belly-up, you and Carbide could go at it and tackle the underside." That seemed like it might be the best idea at the very least "If nothing else, I'm willing to provide a distraction to maybe let someone take a whack at it. I'm quite good at being an annoyance." He giggled softly as he sighed, cracking the proverbial knuckles the projection gave him-it was thing he picked up from movies that humans had made- and waiting for the next attack

"Well that sounds like a plan to me! Looks like all we need to do is convince it that the water isnt an overly hospitable place to be right now. Maybe I should go knock on the door and ask if the missus of the pond is home, then I ll gladly let you be all the distraction you want, and then some Octy! Now, if you'll excuse me, this angle of attack is doing NOTHING for me.... Hey Gaspeite... Allez-oop?!"
The heavy scout glances to Gaspeite and then up in the air, noting that the fusion's arm was still somewhat extended from where she had displayed the screen, and hops up gingerly and plants her foot on the fusions's hand, trusting in the strength of her arm, given her size, and with a surge from her leg, makes a spring board of Gaspite's limb and launches herself upwards in to the air. As she nears the apex of her leap she lets her weapon slip into place by her hip, its crowned muzzle pointing straight down at the pool. What follows next is a flash and a rapturous ~BANG~ as the recoil of the weapon launches the scout into a mid-air backflip and the shot from her cannon impacts the water and explodes with a fierce flash, sending a mighty splash up into the air, and disturbing the water with an explosive shockwave! She had heard once that fish really hate it if you tap on the glass of an aquarium, so this... THIS was taking "tapping the glass" to an all new level!
She lands in a crouched position amid droplets of water settling from the underwater explosion, lifting her gaze in time to grin at her friends as the water erupts into a mos unhappy roil of thrashing and splashing as the now expressly displeased monster breaks the surface and begins to clamber to the temple grounds, the eyes the size of hubcaps flicking back and forth at the trio of ever-so-noisy interlopers.

As she understand Carbide's plan soon enough, Gaspeite would understand and thrust Carbi in the sky. Gaspeite looks over at Octi after the beast lands, so he would trap the thing and they'll be able to attack it. The monster would roar with a strange sound at the group, and Gaspeite, who would be the closest but not actually close to the beast, notices a weird gem in the back of it's throat. It did not have an esophagus, just a bigger than normal gem which would be around half the size of it's eyes. Now that they are closer, they can see the monster's blood-coloured skin and it's piercing dark green eyes.
Gaspeite looks at Octi; "Your turn!
She says, before advancing towards the monster, keeping her defensive combat stance. She morphs her voulge into a halber after notixing the bulk of the ennemy. She winds up the motion of her halberd, drawing a circle above her head, then as the monster runs into her, she hits it directly in the jaw in a surprinsingly metallic clunk sound which would have poofed any gem which were not metal-based at that point. The hit knocks back the monster, but it looks like it's boney face endured the hit....
Gaspeite yells for the other to hear clearly; "The beast's gem is in it's mouth, avoid shooting there at all cost, try to attack it's main body since the head seems to hold up hits pretty good. Let's go!
Octi watched as Gaspeite hurled Carbide into the sky and landing to make contact with the monster. Once noticing the subtle signal, the Bloodstone charged and started wrapping his chains around the legs of the monster before pulling them down and slamming it into the ground. "Will do!" Going for his traditional brawler approach, he activated his berserker mode and started throwing punches at the underside of the beast, actually managing to do a good amount of damage. Hoping that this would distract it enough, it was hard for Octi to tell just how much damage was being done to the top side of the creature. "You guys go for its top! I got it down here, trust me!" He laughed and went back to...well, punches and kicks

Carbide lands back on the tiled plaza floor beside Gaspeite with her canonn tucked in the crook of her elbow, half cross ing her arms for a moment in front of her bust and pausing to let out a drawn out impressed whistle. Even going so far as to use one hand to lift the camo visor up off her marble black eyes for a moment and then set them back in place... because it had well and truly been a long time since she had seen someone go berserker while bare-knuckling a giant fish! I mean realy! How often do you get to see someone punching a giant fish... well.. it had kinda stubby leggy things but still... fish folks.. fish! Really pause and appreciate that image..really!
Gazing on for a moment or two more as a few hard light fish scales flew off in a splatter and stuck to her visor for a moment before flickering and disappearing.
She was in no hurry recharing her cannon so why not join in the melee, aferall she had some friends to help her on this one. After she had observed Gaspeite's bladed attack be deflected by the beast's tough armor like skull projection, she wondered if maybe a bit of blunt persuasion might be more effective. Dashing forward and taking place beside Gaspeite, she barely breaks stride in swinging her cannon cudgel down, making contact with the barrel on the ground, and leaping up on it, as if doing a one-hand stand on a 5 ft tall pedistal, then twising her legs once rapdily for inertia and in doing so, flip the heavy weapon up off the ground, and while hanging in the air, strike the monster square between the eyes in a downward windmill attack before her boots make contact with the ground again!
The impact had this dull heavy thud combind with an almost metallic ring, as the weapon's cylindrical body drove the thing's head down hard enough that its chin.. such as it had one, left a section of impacted and broken marble tiles on the plaza floor.
"What do you think Gaspeite?? Let me get in its face up here, you go and work the side of its body, opposite of Octy, with that Halberd of yours, and mind that tail, this thing doesnt look too pleased!"
Her tail end of her words might have been slightly drowned out by the creature lifting its aching head up from the ground and roaring right in Carbide's face, making her wild hair flail in the blast which also... wait what?.. Contained a spray of sticky blue transparant glue like stuff that stuck to the heavy scout like she was in a jello mold stuck to the ground...."Well this isnt optimal!"

Gaspeite was keeping an eye at the fish being punched as she was running tog et there, only keeping a slight attention to what Carbide was doing up at the thing's face. She gets surprised as the creature gets smashed head first to the ground, which made Gaspeite think that it was painful. But what's pain really, when you're nearly as solid as metal? The fusion had only qauite rarely felt pain, and it was only while training, because humans aren't exactly the people to hurt resistant gems at all!
Listening as Carbide talks, Gaspeite holds her halberd like a spear, moving her hand back ready to give a powerful blow, before she gets hits by the creature's rather long tail. The blunt impact makes Gaspeite slide a yard away from where she was standing, aswell as making her have to regain stability.
Gaspeite looks at Octi from a distance as she is too far from Carbide to help her fast enough. "Octi, go quickly help Carbide, I will go ahead and strike the creature!"
Then, she gets on running towards the side of the creature which would be facing Carbide, using the non-bladed side of the halberd to forcefully project herself rather low in the air, enough for her to raise her halberd and holding it with 2 hands, this time landing a hit in the back of the creature.
Octi nodded as soon as Gaspeite told him to go off to help Carbide, smirking as he ran at it with all six chains "Hey ugly!" With the berserker power still in him, the Bloodstone slammed into the mouth of the beast, knocking it away from immediately trying to take a bite out of Carbide if it decided to do that. Octavian laughed as he started delivering a series of strikes to the creature again and essentially taking the position of the distraction. As he landed, he tried to sweep the legs out from it, not sure what else to do against it. "How much longer do you guys think we can go? My berserker stuff is gonna run out soon!"

Carbide rolled her eyes slightly since she knew she wouldn't get to live this one down easily and whats more, this sticky blob of gooey gooey blue was 12 different levels of disgusting. Inside the massive blue glue ball Carbide still had her hand on her weapon which she set about putting to use to free herself. Inside the translucent muck her weapon begins to hum and rumble, loading power for a blank shot, all recoil and no projectile, which just might be what she needs right now.
"Thanks Octy, I think I owe you once for this, lets get this thing finished once and for all, and then let its gem core rest for a while in a bubble.. OH! Aaaaaaaand you may want to stand back a few paces right about now if you value your more or less clean appearance modifiers..."
The weapon at her side is set off with a loud boom that is actually more of less muffled by the thick gluey substance, however since it was encased, the explosive force is contained, and following a bright flash, the glue blob seems to rapidly inflate with the weapon's muzzle blast until the viscous material can no longer contain the pressure, and pops with a loud POP a scant second after the weapon's firing and frees the heavy scout from her confinement, as well as sends a shower of the sticky glue back at the monster, impacting all over its sides and legs, sticking it to the ground with its own special weapon!
Carbide in the mean time, is carried by the blast, sailing through the air over Gaspeite's head and landing on her tookush on the tiles, somewhat messy, with her cannon in her lap, but more or less unscathed. "Its all yours Gaspeite! Aim just behind the bony plates on its head but in front of the fin on it's back, drive that halberd straight down like a pogo stick!"
As Carbide finished speaking it dawned on her that Gaspeite may not know what a pogo stick is... but she imagines that her point made it across to the fusion.

Gaspeite would take advices from Carbide, getting ready and preparing a hit. The fusion would hop back a couple of meters, making sure to have a good view on the gem monster's uncovered flesh part. She holds her weapon in her palms, while it morphs right in her hands into a spear just as big as the Halberd. It looks as if the spear was shining, like it was prepared just to do this. Gaspeite would be holding the weapon in her right hand, raising her arm to the sky while bending it backwards like an arrow on a bow, all in a rather slow fashion. She then commands her arm to propulse the spear forward, feeding it very heavy momentum from her bulk and the spear's size.
A loud bout high-toned swoosh would be heard as Gaspeite releases the spear, and in the blink of an eye, the creature would have a rather sizeable and fairly large hole in the middle of it's body, going all the way through. It looks like the spear left no trace or just, disappeared after leaving the creature's body.
Then a short, loud, slightly gurgling but very deep "GYAAOOOORG!" is heard through the sly temple as the creature fizzesaround, the light from it's body dissipating, and going back into the gem which was located in it's mouth, as the hovering gem then falls to the ground with a small clicking noise, echoing slightly around the group.
Octi watched nervously as his berseker strength ran out. The Bloodstone did his best to hold the monster down as Gaspeite and Carbide did their own work against it. Octavian smiled happily as the creature fizzled around before its gem dropped down to the ground. "We did it!" He laughed happily and hugged Carbide and Gaspeite "Hey um...do either of you want to bubble that thing up or should I? I don't mind doing it, I actually have a spot back at my chamber that I keep various bubbled objects." Octi then collapsed on the ground, still conscious but taking several deep breaths "Gods I need to rest...I forgot how much that berserker mode does to me. It's been forever since I actually had to go into it...ooof...I'll be okay, just give me a few minutes to rest up" He smiled softly, giving a thumbs up

This Roleplay is a prequel to Steven Universe to an extent with some slight retconing and its own progression to the story that will turn out differently to how stuff plays out in the show. Thanks to the message by Rose Quartz several gems are rising up to protect Earth and have labelled themselves as the Crystal Gems. Others on earth are remaining aligned to Homeworld though despite the isolation of Earth from Homeworld
All gems on earth are still stranded, the communication hub is still offline and all the space warps are shattered, it has now been revealed that this is the work of Rose Quartz and her small group known as the Crystal gems. They have rebelled against Homeworld and have chosen to protect the Earth (Trapping themselves on Homeworld to keep the warps down).
Now both sides are fighting among themselves along with fighting against the 'Corruption' a virus is infecting many gems turning most of them into mindless monsters, but those with a stronger will seem to becoming something more sinister.
The Game has changed now. The question has finally been posed, are you against Homeworld or allied with them. Or do you have your own agenda that may or may not been assisted by the ‘Corruption’. Regardless the seeds have been placed down and although it is only the beginning the fight for or against Earth and the corruption has begun. The choice is yours for how it is shaped on the Original Steven Universe Roleplay Site.
Orginal Opening Plot Here Thread That Changed Everything
Differances Between the Roleplay and the Show
*Thanks to Rose Quartz' message the Gems on Earth are entirely aware that the Homeworld Gems intend to wipe out the human race.
*The "corruption"'s Origin is still unknown, some suspect it was a viral infection, other claim it was a Diamond experiment gone awry and other suspect the organics were behind it. Regardless no one seem to have a proper answer about what it was and why its only isolated to Earth
*Garnet, Pearl and Rose are assumed capture on Homeworld
*Garnet,Pearl and Rose broke the space warps to delay Homeworld
*Thanks to Roses Message gems now know what the Kindergarten was used for
