Name: Ferroaxinite (Or Ferro for short)
Appeared Gender: Female
Appeared Age: Early Twenties
Gemstone: Two black gemstones; one is the shape of a teardrop whilst the other is shaped like an elongated kite with a pentagonal facet.
Gemstone Location: Her gemstones are embedded on her back, lined up vertically along her spine, with the teardrop above the kite.
Faction: Crystal Gem
Corrupted: No
Appearance:
In her base form, this is how Ferroaxinite appears, standing at roughly the same size as Opal. As a fusion she does have four arms, butonly one set is visible whilst the other pair of arms are concealed as her shoulder plates.
When she has need of her extra set of arms, the disks on Ferroaxinite's shoulders (which function similarly to Sardonyx' doll joints), rotate position, lowering her already visible set of her arms whilst revealing her other pair.
Personality: As a Permafusion whom has only existed for roughly a year without anyone else to talk to, Ferroaxinite is still very curious about who she is and how she fits in with others. This means that she is always willing to meet new people and try new things, and as a result she is effectively happy to try pretty much anything and everything, within boundaries of course. Ferro is polite, easy to talk to and she loves to socialize; all of which are traits derived from the combined personalities of the Pearl and Ruby that comprise her. However, the most notable characteristic born from the fusion of these personalities is Ferroaxinite's love to fight, something which she enjoys almost as much as making new friends. In fact, one of her most enjoyable pastimes is sparring with friends, which she carries out in her regular, jovial manner. Though when she engages an enemy who poses a true threat to her and her friends in combat, Ferro's cheerful disposition all but fades away, leading to her fighting with great aggression and little remorse - a direct result of her will to protect her friends and her home. Finally, given her time spent in the wilds, Ferroaxinite is calm around wildlife, and protects them just as eagerly as she would anyone else, enjoying the company of animals just as much as other gems or humans.
Likes/Dislikes:
+ Talking to people
+ Trying new things
+ Making new friends
+ Spending time with friends
+ Fighting/Sparring
+ Wildlife
- People whom disapprove of fusion
- Shattering other gems
- People whom are hostile to her or her friends
Fears:
- Being separated
- Losing a part of her
- Losing a friend
- Becoming corrupted
- Crossing paths with the Agate who ordered her destruction
- Homeworld returning to Earth (because of their views on cross-type fusion)
Weapon: Ferroaxinite's main weapon is a large longsword, formed from a combination of both a Sai and Double-headed axe. She is able to channel her pyrokinetic powers up the core of the blade, heating it's outer edges in a manner that makes it capable of cutting objects with more ease. There are two variants of this sword in addition the aforementioned design. One is simply a larger form of the blade that is effectively the same height as her, whilst the other design for the blade effectively mirrors it's top half in replacement of the bottom, as well as removing the handle; as it is meant to function more like a shield.
Ability 1: Limited Telekinesis
The most unique power born from Ferroaxinite's fusion is her ability to move objects telekinetically. This power does not require concentration and is almost second nature to Ferro, with levitating an object proving as simple as moving an arm, allowing her to accurately manipulate objects with her mind. Despite this ease of use there are some limitations to this ability, such as it's short 5 metre radius and that at best she is only able to lift objects with a weight similar to a small dumpster. Furthermore, her powers are completely ineffective when used on other gems, meaning she cannot telekinetically move or levitate them. Instead, her preferred method of applying this ability in combat is levitating and controlling her swords, manipulating them with grace, precision and skill, not dissimilar to how she would fight with them if they were in her hands.
Ability 2: Pyrokinesis/Thermal Resistance
Ferro also utilizies pyrokinesis; the ability to generate and manipulate fire, which allows her to produce blasts or concentrated streams of fire from any of her four hands, though it is more commonly utilized to produce claws made entirely of flame for her to attack with during melee combat. As a result of the destructive nature of this power, much like the Ruby that forms her, Ferroaxinite has resistance to high temperatures and fire itself. Much like her power of telekinesis, her ability to project fire in concentrated blasts is limited, and as such her beams only have a range of 10 metres before dissipating entirely.
Fusions: None yet, though Ferroaxinite herself is a permanent fusion of a Ruby and a Pearl.
History: Like all gems, Ferroaxinite started out in the service of homeworld, as both a Pearl who functioned as an Agate's servant and a Ruby, who along with 3 other Rubies served as guardians for both of them. The group was on Earth at the time of the destruction of the Warp pads, leaving them stranded. The Agate who commanded the Pearl and Rubies led them to find a potential escape route off of Earth, though the path was long and treacherous without access to the greater warp system. The path ahead was long, and it took two years for the group to make it as far as they did. However, after passing over some molten terrain, the Pearl lost her balance and plunged into the lava.
Rather than try and save the Pearl, the Agate ordered everyone to press onwards, standing strong in the belief that the Pearl would be replaced back on homeworld. Despite the Agate's orders however, one of the Rubies refused to allow the Pearl to die, and jumped into the magma after her. Moments later, a bright flash burst from the stream of molten rock, followed by a large gem. In order to save the Pearl, the Ruby fused with her, and now that very fusion stood before the Agate and the remaining Rubies. Outraged by not only the defiance of the Ruby who was part of the fusion, but also the very fact that she had fused with another type of gem, the Agate ordered them both shattered. In fear, the fusion - known as Ferroaxinite - fled.
Now, wandering alone, the fused form of the Ruby and the Pearl remained together for days, even weeks on end, with both gems growing closer to one another. They could never go back to homeworld, and they couldn't continue their journey out of fear of crossing paths with Agate who sought their destruction, and so Ferroaxinite resigned herself to stay on Earth. Over the course of this time, Ferro would rarely venture out from the boundaries of the forest that she called home, instead protecting the wildlife that resided alongside her as she attempted to find out more about herself.
Character Arcs:
- Finding who she is a person.
- Crossing paths with her former friends/master, and being forced to fight them (instead of fleeing like before, so that she may come to terms with her past.)
- Fusing with other gems
