Name: Titanite Facet-18J12X Cut-9UR
Appeared Gender: Masculine
Appeared Age: Late 20’s - Early 30’s
Gemstone: Titanite
Gemstone Location: Left Cheek
Faction: Crystal Gems (Interested in sub faction C.C.P.)
Corrupted:(Y/N) No
Appearance:
Nite is tall and thin, (similar to pearl but a little more bulky than her). He’s Toxic Green with forest and lemon hues and accents.
Personality:
Nite is a brash, opinionated, nerdy, and almost OCD type of gem. He’s all about the cleanup, and showing people the best way to accomplish it. Some people consider him annoying, because he’s such a nosey so-and-so, and actively attempts to clean up whatever environment he happens to be in.
He’s pretty talkative, with a mile-a-minute mouth, and enjoys providing what he considers to be relevant facts about whatever situation, even if no one has asked him for more information. He’s not exactly bossy, at least he’d never believe he was, he’s just kind of action oriented, and likes to get things done.
Which is why, after the warps were all locked down and he was stranded on earth, and information about the kindergarten and gem corruption became common news, he was a perfect fit for the C.C.P. He was already anti-homeworld, and generally liked Earth because it had some very clean and very pretty spots to look at, and humans didn’t seem so bad, at least the clean ones didn’t. So he enlisted himself to the C.C.P. crew to learn more about the corruption (he’s curious and nosy) and to clean it up (because that’s kind of what he does anyway).
He’s a little technical, because sometimes technology is the best way to get things done, and on homeworld was usually lumped in with the peridots who were more technical but less about the clean-up, which is where he got some of this technical know-how (more about this in history).
Nite is really not a bad person, he usually means well. A clean environment equals a clean mind, and all that. And he wants to help people and make them have an uncluttered mindset, it’s just that he gets carried away and sometimes comes off less stellar than he thinks he does. He’s kind of grating at times but it doesn’t come from a bad place. He just does his best, even if not everyone can appreciate his true intentions.

Weapon:
Primary Weapon: A “Bo Staff” type weapon, with a mop attachment at one end, and a broom attachment at the other (see character picture above). Multi Purpose cleaning tool. Also scratch-irritant, on the broom side, and slapping function on the other. Plus general Bo Staff usage.
Secondary Weapon: A Mace. It’s a thin and long weapon with a medium sized sphere, dotted with spikes.
Tertiary Weapon: …a Toilet Paper Roll. It’s larger than usual, heavily absorbent, like a paper towel, and has more elastic and durability properties than a standard roll of TP. It can tear but not as easily, can be used to bind or tie people up, create traps, etc, as well as clean up most messes, and be gifted to gems or people who need to use it after visiting a restroom.
Abilities
Electrical Resistance, Solar Burst
Ability 1: Electrical Resistance - Passive - resistance to electrical shock and electrical current damage. Since they were the assistants to the Peridots, who worked with electronics and technology, being crafted to resist shock would allow them to be extra helpful to their partners, and also allowed them to clean those pesky outlets without getting a mighty big zap.
Ability 2: Solar Burst - Passive/Active - Due to the high luster of Titanite gems, Nite has a passive defense ability that triggers in moments of extreme stress or danger. He has little control over this ability so far, since he does not put himself into dangerous situations often, and has not needed to train to develop it further.
While in sunlight, Nite absorbs solar energy and stores it in his gem. (Like a solar panel of sorts). When under extreme duress, the stored energy is expelled in a bright flash, like a flash bang, blinding/disorienting others in their vicinity for 1 turn/post.
Fusions: None yet, but he’s curious about them.
History:
He is one of the new series of Titanites. They were originally bred to be massive warriors similar to the quartz series, but in recent centuries have been “demoted” to the role of janitorial duty, after the prior warrior series resulted in a disproportionately large number of defects for that model (see other Titanite app for samples of those defects).
Their form has been changed to be slim and tallish to fit into nooks and crannies, and to fit their new non combatant role. They also were sometimes partnered to the Peridot gems, aiding in technical matters but mostly handling the clean up work. They’re somewhat fancy janitors. They do a lot of cleaning, but can also work in making things tidy in non-cleaning matters, like with Peridot Technical work, aiding in creating more “clean seeming” objects, or creating “cleaning robots”, or other such things. They are similar in coloration, and can sometimes be mistaken for each other due to overall tonality.
He was one of these latter versions of the Titanites, and created on Homeworld about 1000 years ago, originally under Blue Diamond’s leadership, relating to home world cleanliness and technology, and sometimes partnered with Yellow Diamond’s gems when relating to Earth’s kindergarten projects.
He had been sent to earth several times to help with clean up duties before, during, and after Gem construction projects for spires, fighting arenas, etc. He also participated along the outskirts of some of the Peridot/Yellow Diamond Kindergarten initiatives, though never really knowing what they were all about.
In 2012, he was sent to Earth for more cleanup duties and found himself stuck there when the warps were destroyed and communication with Homeworld was impossible. He doesn’t really mind, he likes Earth, and isn’t really worried about going back, there’s plenty of Titanites to do clean up back home. His biggest concern after he was stuck was what to do with himself, without orders.
For a while, he just kind of cleaned up where ever he happened to be, singularly focused on messes to move from one place to the next. Think of it like the Cleaner Robot in Wall-E that was helpless in needing to follow the trail of dirt until it was all cleaned. Which is how he stumbled upon the C.C.P. recently, and their Corruption clean up initiatives, and immediately signed up to help, because it gave him focus, something he’d been missing for several years.
Character Arcs:
Nite needs to deal with some of his phobias about corruption, and hopefully can help to develop understanding about what corruption really is and what causes it. If not, then the mystery and his closely related faction could create larger phobias and fears related to the corruption of gems.
He knows about fusion, between similar-gems, but has only heard rumors about cross-gem fusions. He’s a nosey kind of person, and is curious about what it’s like, and why Homeworld hates it so much, but really he’d like to experience it himself at some point and see what happens. So fusion is something I’d like him to experiment with.
He has a hard time making friends, because he’s so awkward at times, and people consider him annoying. His flaws are less obvious than Peridot’s for example, but a similar “understanding how to relate to other people” arc would be helpful for his character development. And allow him to a little better understand Boundaries, something he doesn’t really get at this point.
