Name: Eudialyte (Fusion) Dia (Nickname for non-defective Eudialyte) Lyte (Nickname for defective Eudialyte.)
Appeared Gender: Female (She/Her)
Appeared Age: If she was human, she appears to be somewhere in her mid twenties.
Gemstone: Eudialyte (upside-down trillion cut)
Gemstone Location: Both Eudialyte gem placement is on their Sternum (That strange place between the ribs.)
Faction: Technically Neutral. They don’t associate with the rebels, however they disagree with how homeworld wants them to hurt other gems. They stay away from both as they hide away in the feral earth.
Corrupted: Nope! (But heres the design for said corruption!)
Appearance: (This is Dia’s design, drawn by myself. Lyte looks almost exactly the same, however her eyes are a milky gray rather than the pink.) However, the fusion between the two is slightly different. Since Lyte is slightly defective (more on this in the backstory) their fusion is slightly unstable. It doesn’t deter them from being a perma-fusion, it just makes their facial features a bit strange. For example, the fusion Eudialyte has two sets of eyes, one of them being Dia’s pink and the other being the milky gray from Lyte. Also, due to Lyte being mute the fusion has two mouths, one of them constantly stays shut (except for eating or other mouth-activities besides speaking) and the other is the origin of their voice.
Personality: The Eudialytes are completely different in personality when it comes to them interacting with one another and when it comes to interacting with gems they have yet to meet. When it comes to their personal interaction, they show obvious care and love towards one another. The two are seemingly inseparable in their relationship. Dia being more protective and Lyte ironically being the voice of reason. However the two may seem like rather kind and caring gems to each other, their reaction to strangers is quite different. They are honestly afraid of meeting new gems, yet the complain of being lonely at times, even though they are together. The pair is quite defensive, however. They will do whatever it takes to ensure the safety of the other. No matter the cost. However, the gems are manipulative. They attempt to weasel their way out of dangerous scenarios before the fight actually begins. However, if a fight is to break out they will definitely defend themselves.
Likes/Dislikes: Likes: they both enjoy warmth, being together, being fused, they find eating an.. Interesting activity, though you wouldn’t see them doing it too often. Dislikes:the cold, being separate, homeworld, the crystal gems, chaos, fighting in general.
Fears: This is an interesting topic. Since the gems haven’t been on earth for TOO long, they are essentially afraid of everything they don’t understand. Not to mention homeworld and the rebels finding them out. They are essentially living through trial and error, hoping to not kill themselves in the process of learning the new strange ways of this planet.
Weapon:The fusion sports Dia’s frequency hammer. It is shaped essentially like an ax. However the end is not sharp, it’s actually blunt with an attachment that seems to be a pad or button. Next the back end is sharp for a more offensive attack. It is normally swung like a pick-ax. It is mainly used for more damaging blows. The actual size of the weapon isn't too ridiculous. The size of the weapon is dependent on if the Eudialytes are fused or not. When un-fused, the hammer reaches itself is about five feet tall (from the very bottom to the very top) which is slightly taller then Dia. (by one inch.) While they are fused however, the hammer is about seven feet from the absolute bottom to absolute top. Which is significantly taller than the fusions height at 6 1/2 feet. (Note. When it comes to weapon distortion, this applies to the response I send [as long as the wave hits them] this will only last the response I send where it happens, and then you may re summon your weapon immediately. Ex. Me: "Eudialyte's distortion wave disables the gem's weapon and she runs." You: re-summons weapon the moment he/she can" is perfectly fine.)
Ability 1: Heat resistance. The Eudialyte’s could be considered similar to rubies in the fact that they are rather warm gems. They are easily able to withstand temperatures close to molten lava (or 1300 degrees Celsius/ 2200 degrees Fahrenheit). Due to this, any heat related weapon is ineffective. Unless it gives off heats higher than this.
Ability 2: The weapons main ability is activated upon slamming the pad down, (which requires a rather large amount of force, as it is pressure activated) it emits an ear-splitting frequency that acts like a short range EMP wave. The range of the wave being about 3 meters radial, or just short of ten feet. any gems that are hit by the wave are temporarily distorted, Causing the gem's weapons (as long as they are holding them at the time of the impact) to distort. The gem will have to re-summon their weapon after its affects have worn off. Just enough for Eudialyte to get a head-start on any gem chasing her down. However it takes a moment for the hammer’s pad to reset, as it is pressure activated. However, upon hitting a gem's form directly the energy is instead directly forced into the gem's form, which tosses them backwards a good ten-twenty feet, depending on the size of the gem. The downfall being its weakness against shields or defensive weapons. if the defender hits back against the hammer instead of letting the hammer hit them with their shield, the energy is reversed throwing Eudialyte backwards a similar ten-twenty feet.
Fusions: So far, unknown. The only fusions these two have really been a part of is with one another, so at this point their possible combinations with other gems are unknown. For details on the Eudialyte fusion, check the appearance tab.
History:
Both Eudialytes were created on one of Home-world's many colonies, not too far off from the main planet. The gems were created as a form of Riot control. Be it to put down Organic life or even Gems. Unfortunately, as the gems went through their training, one of the Eudialytes seemed to be falling behind. She lacked the ability to summon a weapon nor speak. The diamonds ordered her to be shattered, as she was defective. Luckily for her, Dia stepped in and promised to look after her fellow Eudialyte. Surprisingly, the diamonds allowed this to happen, as Dia brought up that it would just be a waste of precious resources to just destroy the rather expensive and rare gem. Due to this, a friendship blossomed that quickly developed into a more serious relationship.
However, during their first mission, it quickly became clear to the pair that they didn’t enjoy what they were being forced to do. They didn’t enjoy harming these gems that were otherwise peacefully protesting the actions of the crystal gems. However, there wasn’t much they could do. They were made for a purpose and they were going to fulfill it. However, once earth’s blackout began, the ruby ship that was supposed to escort the Eudialytes to their next mission essentially crashed. The two gems took this opportunity to hide away in the feral woods of earth, constantly hiding from the gems sent by homeworld to retrieve them, as well as the rebels.
Character Arcs:
Over time, the Eudialytes will slowly come to understand the Crystal Gems and their motives a little bit
better, however at this point they still will not have any reason to actually join them.
However, eventually the fusion will meet more of the crystal gems, and actually come around to joining them permanently against homeworld. It won’t be easy, as the two have already been attacked, even though they refused to fight back and they only ran. They aren’t looking for trouble.
