Padparadscha trusted that 3JJ would keep an eye on the other gems as they moved about the island, and keep on eye on them the jasper did. However, the gem didn't stray too far from her patron as the sapphire continued to try to make her own sunlight. The rain seemed to be letting up some, but she knew better than to trust Earthling weather to go the way she wanted it to. A lot of energy was drained by the use of her plasma under these conditions, but by shrinking, moving, or growing the little star that she'd created, she allowed light to strike at different angles. A myriad of colors bounced through the prism, projecting into different patterns over the clearing. "It seems our foe is leaving. Perhaps they'll take the long way home," She joked sarcastically with 3JJ as she worked, though the jasper didn't have much to say in response.
As the rebels investigated the defunct warp pad, the light from her plasma finally pulled through for her; every color from the prism focus into a point of white light that manifested onto the trunk of a particularly old and gnarled tree. Her eyes widened-- either this was a coincidence, or the artifact laid underneath. She glanced over her shoulder to make sure the rebels weren't around, and motioned for Jasper to check out the spot. The plasma dissipated into the ether, and she quickly stepped through the mud to get to the tree.
Both Homeworlders circled the tree, looking for some sign of gemmic influence, but it seemed to just be a particularly old organic lifeform. Padparadscha pursed her lips,"Perhaps we need to dig it up?"
3JJ quirked a brow as she realized she might have to be trying to dig up a rather large tree on her own, considering the sapphire had just used a significant amount of her energy to find the location in the first place. Jasper contemplated how it would've been nice if those rebels had turned out to be loyalists; then maybe she'd have some help. But, nonetheless, she got to work on the tree, backing up a few paces, then dove into a spin-dash, flinging mud and rain water everywhere as she slammed into the old tree, intending on knocking it straight over.
