Name: Amethyst 8L2S 6UE
Shortened: Ame, 6UE
Appeared Gender: Feminine Pronouns
Appeared Age: Young
Actual Age: ~30
Gemstone: Amethyst Quartz, Brilliant Cut
Gemstone Location: Left hip
Faction: Crystal Gems⭐
Corrupted: 🚫
*Alignment: Neutral Good
Appearance: *drawing pending* Amethyst 6UE stands at about seven feet tall, with a wide-set muscular build typical of her gem model. She has long, spiraling, unkempt lavender hair, and a complexion that ranges from deep hues of indigo to lighter shades of violet. Her eyes are a dark shade of indigo, matching the color of her gemstone. While not glaringly considered "defective", she does stand apart from many other Amethysts as being a bit shorter, and having streaks of different hues in her complexion. She wears a simple uniform most of the time, but after leaving Homeworld to join the rebels, Ame has been experimenting with human fashion statements, typically in the realm of sports attire.
Personality: Ame had a simple desire to live up to the expectations of those around her, and to be helpful when she can, driven by a feeling of duty toward others. She wants to do well at her job, but often imagines herself as being inadequate; because of this she has a tendency to overstate her own capabilities, having a habit of bragging over much about the things she's good at, and avoiding things she's not good at altogether, only admitting her flaws to those she feels can understand her. This all stems from a deep set pessimism. She tends to see the worst in situations, and expects things to go wrong. But, because of this pessimism, she doesn't tend to expect too much, and is rarely disappointed in life; in fact it is an integral part of her drive to help others, and her ability to find silver linings when things do go wrong.
In social situations Ame can be clumsy, but tries her best to be conscientious of others and to be a mediator in tense situations. She hates arguments and verbal confrontation, or any sort of fight with those she considers friends; unless of course it is a good natured conditioning exercise or sport, keeping her combat and athletic skills honed while also helping her friends to do so by being their sparing partner. She will get into combat if it is absolutely necessary for the situation to be resolved, but prefers to try to find a less violent solution. Sometimes she can be provoked however, and can sometimes be caught in a dour, combative mood.
Following orders is second nature to her, and often finds herself needing someone else to take the lead for her. But, after joining the Crystal Gems, she is finding more self empowerment, and is developing an ability to lead teams and work well without orders from a superior. She is allowing her personality to blossom outside of the confines of what Homeworld expected of her, and is allowing her more humorous, free spirited side grow.
All in all, she prefers to keep things simple and good natured, and likes to have fun, but will get serious if she needs to.
👍 Spending time with others, being helpful, rebellious types, Sport, Personal space
👎 Being alone, being unhelpful, authority figures, hostile confrontation, invasion of space
😱 Not being there when needed, losing someone, claustrophobic
Weapon: A simple but large falcata sword with a gemlike handle and pommel is her summoned weapon, but as a soldier gem, she has a natural proficiency with many different sorts of similar weapon types.
Ability 1: Fiery Spin Dash-- Ame learns to add some flare to much of her usual combat routine after she discovers her elemental connection to fire. She essentially becomes a fast-traveling ball of fire when this ability is in use, with the ability to accelerate into a charge within seconds. She can also turn on a dime, but can become very disoriented if she keeps this up, and has to jump out of her spin dash to get a gauge on her surroundings (usually this would occur within two posts). Without the addition of violet fire, this is a typical spin-dash ability.
Ability 2: Violet Fire-- She discovers her ability to use fire while on Earth, but this fire is only able to manifest within the immediate area of Ame, within a few inches of her own skin surface, before it dissipates. Weather conditions may hamper this ability, and her mental state can effect how powerfully the ability will manifest. Typically the fire would have a damaging effect on gem forms and can combust organic materials, but isn't hot enough to melt through anything that can withstand extreme temperatures in a timely manner. Usually however, Ame just uses this as a part of her grandstanding routine; she can apply the fire to her summoned falcata, her fists, spin dash, etc, for some more flare and intimidation factor. How long the fire lasts before it burns out and needs to recharge depends on how hard she is pushing the ability. At full throttle, violet fire can be sustained for four posts, before needing an equal number of posts to recharge the ability.
**With her connection to elemental fire, she has a minor resistance to high temperatures, but into more extreme thermal radiation, she would not be able to withstand it
**it is up to you fellow rpers how her abilities affect your chars!
Fusions: None yet, contingent upon the direction of character arcs
History: 6UE had a very regular history as far as it goes for quartz gems. She was made in the Alpha kindergarten on Earth, and though she was a tad overcooked, she popped out just in time to be swept up by Pink Diamond's kindergarteners and taken to the moonbase. There she was assigned her first task, and the task that she would carry out for the next 30 years of her life; guarding the halls of Pink Diamond's moonbase. During this time she would have short breaks to condition her combat abilities, to hang out with her fellow gems, and get to know the many nooks and crannies of the Homeworld outpost. Many other Amethysts were taken to guard the kindergarten or to do manual labor tasks, but 6UE was left (intentionally or not) in the guard cycle until she was spotted by a certain Padparadscha sapphire who had decided she needed a bodyguard.
Padparadscha chose 6UE, and for a few short missions, Amethyst was given an entirely new look at the world. She felt that she learned more in her short time being a bodyguard for Padparadscha than she did in all her 30 years of guarding hallways for Pink Diamond. However, after an evaluation involving the sapphire's correspondent Clear Quartz 7XB, Ame was given the boot for an inadequate performance. She stayed on the investigations unit with the sapphire until a new bodyguard was found, and spent a short time helping a team of other Amethysts lay down the ground work for a new gem architecture.
After her discovery about Homeworld's intentions with the project, as well as many confrontations with other gems about different ideologies, Ame decided to take on a new ideology and to face the world as her most authentic self; but she continues to struggle to do so, even with the help of her fellow rebels.
Character Arcs: I have a few arcs in mind for Ame, but I'm sure they will pick up more substance as I get into the game with this char
Runaway-- Ame runs from the Lotus Project after she figures out what it will be used for, and finds herself questioning her loyalties, before finally making the very hard decision to join the Crystal gems.
Learning the Ropes-- Ame has to try to accustom herself to life on Earth and to the fact that she is a rebel now, while learning new things about herself and others.
