The dragon had been taking off, flying, landing, and taking off again for ages. But Pink Amethyst had finally made it to Empire City. She landed, transforming to be small and humanoid again. "Well, I'm here," she said to herself. She had heard rumors of Homeworld Gems being here. She wanted to open herself to Homeworld again. She had convinced the Diamonds she really was an amethyst when she WAS a Homeworld gem, and she could convince any loyalist that she WAS'NT a rebel. The small Quartz stepped apon the premises of the city, hoping to see a gem or two there. Maybe she could gain some info for Sapphire while she was there, Sapphire needed to make sure she knew Homeworld's strengths and weaknesses. That way, they could fight back and survive.
The short gem walked around when she saw a bar, she had never been to a bar before so she went inside. She saw several humans, this wasn't the place to go. She left, having a bad feeling about those humans. They seemed to be aware of her though. Like they knew what the Gems were. Amethyst shuddered, beginning to fear this place.
Today, after a long night's study, Radiant woke up and wenr from his appartement into the wide Empire City. He needed to lend something from the nearest library, some more study material that is. Walking through the giant metropolis, the white beryl saw a familiar sight, a bar which seemed very popular, especially during night. However, near it, he spotted an interesting individual amidst the crowd which moved away from the bar. Long pink hair and skin, a strange appearance, this was probably a gem. Now, something about her was off, but he carefully approached her anyway, talking with a smooth voice: "Greetings, you seem a bit lost. May I aid you?"
Noticing a gem was approaching her, Amethyst listened to this Beryl's words. She could tell it was a Beryl from her study on gemstones. "I guess. This is my first time here, so I don't know any of this place. I heard rumors of Homeworld Gems being here, so I came here for..." Amethyst paused, making up a lie. "Validation. I came to see if the rumors were true." It was true enough that Amethyst didn't blush, as she was always embarrassed to lie. She twirled her hair, trying not to look embarrassed. If this beryl was someone she knew from when she was a loyalist, the beryl would know she gets embarrassed when she lies. "What's your name, my fellow?"
The white beryl wanted to find out more: "Validation? What do you mean?" While twirling her hair, Radiant could tell that shd was embarrassed, but because of what he did not know. Responding to her question about his name, he said: "My name is White Beryl, but please, call me Radiant won't you? Now, what's your name? The crowd which was like a river was now starting to bother him, as children and adults alike bumped into him, with the cars constantly honking and the drivers screaming at each other as well. This reached it's climax when a small child was holding his leg, refusing to let go. After some tries, she went off his leg and went back to her parents. " Would you like to come to my house?"
"Im Pink Amethyst, but please just call me Amethyst," she said, ignoring the question about validation. "It would be great to come to your place." Then she turned around to see the large crowd of people and thought maybe we should move away? "We should get there quick. This crowd of people could be dangerous," Amethyst said. "Where I come from, it's unsafe to be noticed by humans." Amethyst noticed that most of the humans didn't care, or even know about the two gems' presence. She thought she could use this fact to her advantage.
She watched as drivers honked the horns on their cars and yelled at each other. She watched as people streamed in like a river. It was beginning to get annoying.
The white beryl was already doubtful at the beginning, but now that this gem refused to answer his question concerning validation, he was getting really sceptical, to the point where he was unsure about letting her into his appartment. However, if he would refuse now, she would get sceptical herself. So the white beryl just tried to prepare himself for when she would do something funny. Going back to his more light hearted tone, he said: "No worries, here, humans are not dangerous at all, although they can be pesky and most certaintly annoying." He went off, gesturing the pink amethyst to follow suit.
Amethyst followed this new friend, unaware that he was skeptical about her lie. She walked next to Radiant, just in case he tried something. However, she was unaware that he didn't trust her either. She walked down the road, willing to explore this mysterious place. It was so vast and she wanted to see as much as she could before she left.
Amethyst didnt say a word. She didn't make a peep. Okay, maybe a little peep. She was about to ask a question about Empire City when she heard something burst. She saw a puddle of water along with a broken cup, and sighed. The humans had scared her half to death again. She's had a lot of scares from humans, but this one was the most startling.
While walking to his apartment, Radiant kept analysing the appearance of that Amethyst a little more. She looked surprisingly pink for an Amethyst, the bright color was so intense that the white beryl experienced a little pain staring to long at her. Her boots seemed relatively soft, so he wondered about how she could walk normally. Only now he also noticed her very sharp teeth, a little unnatural for any gem. Suddendly, Radiant heared a shattering sound, followed by a very faint noise. Looking around, he saw a broken cup and next to it, a puddle of water. He shook his head, forgot about the other noise and saw that they were standing right in front of the skyscraper in which his living space resided.
Amethyst saw that Radiant was startled by the broken cup as well, she wondered where they were heading as she heard something. She couldn't pinpoint what it was, so she turned to the noise. "But it's spooky!" a human yelled, fussing over a mechanic toy ghost. "I don't care. We're not getting it," another human said. The noise sounded again-the first human had been messing with the toy. "Huh. Humans get so fussy over useless gadgets. I wonder why the more useful ones are so expensive," Amethyst said.
"Hi!" the human said to Amethyst, not caring about her wierd appearance. "Uh, hi!" Amethyst replied, waving. She would've grinned but her sharp teeth might be scary. She assumed from Radiant's not caring about being noticed that these humans knew of the Gems, but didn't care. She was relived.
(Sorry for the wait, exams have been coming up recently)
The talk on the streets Radiant just simply dismissed from his consciousness. The trivial talk of humans was maybe one of the rare negatives he saw in them, after all, most of them were pretty much soaked in banality, which made it even more brilliant when a genius among them was born. Anyways, hearing Amethyst being pestered by a human child, he shout out to her in order to regain her attention: "Come on Amethyst!" He took out his keys and opened the door to the skyscraper, gesturing the Amethyst to come with him. He pressed the button for the elevator to arrive once inside. When it came, he stepped into it.

Others on earth are remaining aligned to Homeworld though despite the isolation of Earth from Homeworld

They have rebelled against Homeworld and have chosen to protect the Earth (Trapping themselves on Homeworld to keep the warps down).
Now both sides are fighting among themselves along with fighting against the 'Corruption' a virus is infecting many gems turning most of them into mindless monsters, but those with a stronger will seem to becoming something more sinister.
The Game has changed now. The question has finally been posed, are you against Homeworld or allied with them. Or do you have your own agenda that may or may not been assisted by the ‘Corruption’.
