As she grabbed his hand, the world around Spinel changed. Instantly, it warped into the visage of a forest and he watched as this short look into Csarite's mind unfolded in front of him. As she acted, he could feel her need to protect the humans, the joy at her success, and the contentment in being accepted by them. This vision started and ended in the blink of an eye, and Spinel found himself humbled by the simple innocence of the gem in front of him, even if it was slightly offputting. Usually he would find it extremely difficult to trust someone so kind and joyful, but he felt a sort of kinship, a bond formed by the corruption.
"Let's go." Spinel nodded, releasing her hand and beginning to walk towards his little cave. He appreciated when others didn't feel a need to constantly talk, as if silence were an awkward thing. To be able to be in anothers presence and not feel a need for constant conversation proved he was comfortable. He didn't want to lie or manipulate, and he wasn't unsure of the other's motivations. The silence was calm and peaceful, and it mirrored how he felt. It wasn't long before the rain began to fall, and Csarite spoke out in a soft tone.
"Where are the others?"
"Where are the others?" he parroted softly, amused at how Csarite probably didn't understand just how complex the answer to that question was. "That's a difficult question to answer." he said, wondering just how much he should tell her. There were many "others," there were the Crystal Gems, the Homeworld gems, the various individuals who fell somewhere outside or in between, and then there were the those like them. "There's no short answer. It'll take time to explain." He answered, looking at all the holes that dotted the walls of the Kindergarten. It would be better to talk about it once the two reached the cave; it wasn't far, it offered protection from the rain, and although it wasn't a terribly comfortable place they could at least sit down to talk.
