Onyx stands at roughly 6 feet tall and has grey skin. He wears a white t-shirt and black pants over a black bodysuit with red markings. the bodysuit attaches itself to the metal bracers on his wrists. He wears a red and black eyepatch to cover his gem which is beginning to tarnish and become corrupted.
Personality: Onyx is very brooding and anti-social. He oftentimes outright ignores those around him for fear of allowing himself to get close to someone. Around his fellow gems, Onyx is usually hostile and tense due to a hatred of gemkind, but around humans, he softens to a more shy, awkward personality. He believes that Gems shouldn't be on or anywhere near Earth because of the negative effects that they have on the humans living there. Although he was once a very kind and fun loving gem, he has long since closed off himself off from the world to ultimately achieve his goal of forcibly removing every gem (including himself) from Earth.

Weapon:He wields a curved knife with a black/chrome blade and a white handle. Onyx usually fights with this knife by wielding it/them backhand to maximize his damage with a quick attack. The knife also has an elongated form reminiscent of a hook sword, and a much longer form that requires two hands to wield.

Ability 1: Onyx can treat the earth around him as an extension of his own body, freely forming and moving it at his will. This control, however, only extends to stone and dirt, making this skill useless in all other environments.
Ability 2:Onyx can create small pockets of gravity around him by touching things. He can only have 3 active gravity wells at one time and with each additional gravity well he creates, the original becomes weaker. with one gravity field, he can multiply the force of gravity up to 10 times in an area up to a 10 feet diameter. With 2 gravity wells, the force drops to 5 times the force of gravity at 5 feet diameter, and with 3 gravity wells the max force becomes 2.5 times the force of gravity at 2.5 feet diameter.

History:Onyx was born in the way that all gems were on homeworld. He lived a regular life with a few good friends here and there but eventually he became bored and made his way to earth to seek excitement. For many years he lived his life to the fullest by sparring with powerful gems, playing tricks on the simple humans, and running amok with his friends. All of this changed, however, when onyx met Madeline. She caught him once playing a trick on her father and scolded him harshly. It was love at first sight for the mischievous gem. He spent the next few years trying to get close to Madeline and learn about her, but she always pretended not to notice his affections. Eventually Onyx had enough of trying to be discrete with his advances, so he asked Madeline to marry him. She agreed and the two created a homestead near the settlement that would eventually become BeachCity.
They both lived happily for a few years until one day when Onyx went out to hunt for food for his beloved. While he was away, a massive fight broke out between a corrupt gem monster and a few other gems. Onyx and Madeline's home was destroyed and Madeline perished in the destruction. Onyx was so enraged by the loss of his loved one that he immediately attacked the gems that were responsible. One by one they fell at his blade and he crushed their gemstones beneath his feet. From that day forward, Onyx swore that he would chase gemkind from planet earth if it was the last thing he did.
