((As i mentioned in the other thread posting order is out the window, post when you wish, but by extension i will no longer be chasing members about posting, you have three days from the previous members post to post yourself. Under special circumstances i any give users longer but don't count on that.))

The shadow creature was not stupid and had realised immediately what Zablan was trying to pull, another shadow ripped off one of the wisps and went whizzing towards him.The yellow gem would only get through popping three bubbles before the shadow wisp reached him and, letting out a familiar hiss, tried slashing across his body with a serrated arm.

The Shadow wisp fighting Carnelian made rough contact with him and was easily blocked, continuing momentum the shadow creature simply twisted its head. The weapon was driven into its back but it lacked the damage required to disable the creature fully. Instead jagged tendrils erupted from the creatures back trying to impale Carnelian, the attack had proved one thing though. These shadow creatures were hard light constructs just like gems, meaning they were as solid as gems.

Twisting the other shadow wisp went in pursuit of Obsidian as he wanted. The magma he had shot though had solidified nearly as soon as it was released leaving a small chunk of Obsidian that glanced off the shadow creatures shoulder as it continued pursuit. Perhaps the Magma based gem could use this instant solidification  to his advantage in a fight. Regeardless the wisp had now closed in on the lava gem and its upper section split open forming into two claw like appendages that tried to clamp down on the gem.

The wisp attacking Amon looked bored as he somewhat effortlessly separated in half to dodge the downwards spike of the arrogant gem. Reforming together a second later its arm morphed from a blade into a tendril and with a harsh and loud cracking sound it snapped the tendril downwards trying to make contact with Amon's form.Its let out a small hiss as part of its form seemed to burn away from Chrys lightshow.

The arms of the shadow creatures heading towards Rulite formed into rather serrated looking hooks. Its right hand lashed outwards trying to latch on and fling Rulite's weapon away. Strangely it seemed to choose its movements carefully, almost as if it was trying to avoid hitting her gemstones. By comparison the left hand hook swung somewhat slower trying to position itself around her thin neck to trap and lock her down.

Chrys was somewhat excessive with his attack and did several unnecessary steps. The burst of light by itself was actually enough to burn through the shadow creatures. It letting out a piercing scream as the light wrapped around it and destroyed it. Leaving nothing in its wake. The rock whizzed past where the wisp used to be and unfortunately now seemed to be moving towards Obsidian, who's was several meters off from the already separated group.

As Zablan was popping the third bubble he noticed the creature approach him rather quickly with what seemed to be a saw for an arm. "Normally I'd go smoke but..." Zablan was at a loss on how to react. He had been through his life usually using smoke as a way to not get hit by an ability but in a space like this smoke would go away as soon as it came, even if it was his body that is basically suicide. He isn't strong enough at this point in time to quickly get the smoke back so he needed to improvise. He went behind one of the bubbles and used it as a temporary shield to block the incoming attack.

[Magna Chronus]

Obsidian of course had his eye on the shadow creature that was pursuing him and noticed the instant hardening of the magma. A smirk formed on his face. Perhaps he could turn the cold into an ally not an enemy. His attention turned to the shadow that was coming toward him and the rock that Chrys had brought with him, which was also coming toward him. He shook his head in exasperation. As the shadow approached, he put his left hand up and magma spread out from under his armor to form a shield with spikes protruding from the front, which promptly hardened. He would then fire another magma burst to propel himself sideways, out of the path of the rock.

Witnessing the one creature fade against Chrys' attack, Carnelian contemplates possible reasons for the quick defeat of the monster. She suddenly remembers that these things can shape shift, and pushes off the back of the monster just in time to be able to bend barely out of the way of the tendrils, and also notices Zablan in trouble out of the corner of her eye.
Too close.... She thinks to herself, grabbing a tendril for mobility aid, Wait. These things are made of shadow. Are they weak to light? I can't make my weapons explode out here but I can still....
The orange gem's weapons begin to glow brightly with energy, making them able to cut deeper. Hopefully through these creatures.
"Do THIS!" the second half of the thought comes out of her mouth, as she pulls hard on the tendril. Whether she went to the monster or she went to it... she doesn't know in this zero gravity environment. All she knows is that when she reaches the beast, she needs to cut as hard as she can, which she does with one of her weapons as she tosses the other one -still charged with energy- as hard as she can at the monster attacking Zablan, while screaming, "AND YOU CAN LEAVE HIM ALONE!"

After the creature dodged his spike, Amon instantly raised his arms as the bladed tendril struck down at him. The blow was deflected with a flash of sparks and a loud 'Clang' against Amon's metal arm. Amon spun on the spot and used this to send a relentless barrage of blows unto the shadow creature. "YAH! YAH! YAH! YAH! YAH!" Amon screamed with every blow. After a couple of seconds he stopped spinning and faced the creature head on. He aimed his palms towards the center of the dark creature and unleashed an energy blast directly at it, sending him flying backwards through the void, until being able to stop himself with another blast in the opposite direction. Flying back towards the creature at ridiculous speeds, he directed another barrage of punches.

Going behind a bubble seemed somewhat counter productive to there mission and it also seemed that Meta had neglected to mentioned a important details about these wisps. Adsorption. The shadow creatures did not falter,did not slow,did not hesitate. The mass of shadow simply made contact with the bubble gem. The shadow latching around it and dragging it up its arm and into the heart of its body. It pulsed for a moment before the eye colour of the shadow creature shifted to a orange. With the gem at its core the wisp had now evolved into a Penumbra,stronger,faster and more immune then how it was in its wisp form. It heard Carnelian shouts and its head snapped towards her direction. Being in the void,in proximity to its master also gave the Penumbra additional effects. The strange weapon was flying straight towards it but unlike the other wisps the light simply singed its form instead of dissipating it. A hollow resounding clang was heard as the weapon embedded itself into the black triangular shield on the penumbra's arm. It appeared the gem the shadow creature had bubbled within it was able to summon a shield and as such the creature was able to replicate that. The force though had driven it back from Zablan so the other gems attack had worked in that regard. It seemed to wait though not engaging Zablan or Carnelian in combat again, whether it was taunting them, or was it simply dazed by the attack was not clear.

Carnelian attack on the shadow creature attacking her took it by surprise  but as it began flying towards her it recovered its composure and let out a loud screech as the weapon dug into its chest and burnt a hole within it. The creature though was persistent and managed to hold itself together still. It formed into a massive hand, albeit missing its ring finger to show where it was damaged, and tried to close firmly around Carnelian.

The shadow creature chasing obsidian was impaled, in a small wail, by his makeshift shield and stayed limp for a few second, floating out of the way of the rock. The powered up Penumbra seemed to be having a effect on the other wisps though, a normal wisp would dissipate from being damaged so heavily but this one simply formed into 4 small serpents and slithered of the spikes and around to the other side of the shield. They formed back together to make one small and long serpent that whipped out towards obsidian from the spiked shield, its mouth opening wide revealing razor sharp shadow blades.

Amon's shadow creature simply rippled and liquefied adsorbing each blow and being damaged very little by the energetic gem barrage. The energy blast though did significantly more ploughing a hole straight through its chest causing it to cry out in pain. It had only just had time to recover before Amon blasted towards it. Quickly the creature formed into almost a blanket like construct and folded around Amon right arm. The creatures logic being that the young gem couldn't hit something that was already wrapped around its arm, protecting him from the most of the gem's blows. The jets in Amons arms though were burning holes through the creatures blanket construct quickly.

((as I stated people who don't post miss out, if they don't post in this next cycle the shadow creatures fighting them will automatically poof them and leave them as gemstones. Meaning they are out of the fight.Everyone else same rules apply, three days or so, don't post, your skipped. I wont ask you to post,or bother you, you signed up so you need to keep a eye on it.))

Carnelian saw the hand trying to grasp her in plenty of time to react, and would have been able to dodge it if she had been on solid ground. As it was here, however, she made an attempt to grab onto something, anything that she could get traction from, but to no avail. To anyone watching, she simply gave a futile flail as the giant fingers encased her.
If I could still use my explosions, I could get out of this.... She thought frantically, trying her hardest to devise a way out of her situation. She had one of her weapons in her hand, and couldn't summon another because her arms were trapped.
"Hey, guys... a little help?" Carnelian asked loudly.

"Oh, you don't like energy attacks, eh?" Amon smirked and freed himself from the shadow creatures grasp with little effort. Amon laughed loudly and pointed at the shadow.
"You think that's enough to take me!?"
Amon's arms buffed up in size considerably, building up energy. As he kept building up energy he got into a pose, facing one palm aimed at the shadow, and one in the opposite direction.
"WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK I AM!?"
Amon started spinning insanely fast on the spot, unleashing a barrage of blasts towards the shadow creature and in the opposite direction, to stop himself from flying away because of the pressure of the blast.
"Spinning-top Galaxy Gatling Gun!"
With the amount of energy he stored he was able to release around 11 pulses of energy in either direction. The immense pressure and strain on his body caused his metal arms to tear themselves to shreds. As he stopped spinning the damage to his arms was apparent, having large cuts and gashes all over them.
