Name: Magnetite
Appeared Gender: Female
Appeared Age: 25-28
Gemstone: Dome-shaped, metallic charcoal-grey/black, as Magnetite generally is.
Gemstone Location: Midst of back.
Corrupted: Yes
(If Corrupted)Monster Form: Magnetite's corrupted-form is a 9 meter (28 ft) long moth-like creature, with a wingspan of 26 meters (90 ft). Pale, armored body with white wings highlighted by intricate dark-grey patterns. Silvery blue eyes. Has madibles and limbs clearly designed for fighting and predation; akin to a wasp or Mantis.
Appearance: Magnetite is 6'2 even and built slim in the middle, with impressive shoulders and hips to match. Her skin is the grey of old iron, though it is as smooth as newly-forged steel, and her eyes are a mix of almost iredescent blue-grey and a darker shade that nearly matches her skin. Her hip-length hair is a silver so fine it's almost white, and as glossy as fine silk.... Or well-polished metal. She wears a Diamond-themed jacket over a form-fitting top, and her bottom-half is covered by bulky, made-to-last combat boots.
Personality: Magnetite is a sociopath. Not the sort that goes on grisly murdering-sprees or inspires urban legends-- the sort that does well on the cold floors of a court-room..... Or in the colder crystal corridors of the Gems' Diamond Regime. The kind that uses pretty words, gets what they want, and is a closet liar and narcissist. If asked, she'd tell you that she'd never wanted to kill anyone, or be corrupt. And, to a degree, it would be true. Magnetite is not a killer by nature; circumstance and desperation have made her a monster. While admittedly despicable in some ways, she isn't really one by nature or choice. Magnetite is at her best when she has an advantage; she'll press it, and press it hard. When faced with equal or superior opposition, the Gem is something of a coward. This, of course, does not hold for her Corrupted form, which behaves in wildly inconsistant manners and appears to be entirely mad, one moment speaking with the voice of Magnetite and making sense for the most part, the next all fangs and shrieking and hate.
Likes: Technology, being in charge, manipulating others, promotions, organizations, orchestrating a succesful plan, order, other attractive Gems, her own face and body.
Dislikes: Being without purpose, organic wilderness, her ever-worsening corruption, humans, stupid Gems, ugly Gems, disorder, being alone.
Fears: The eventual insanity and decline into nonsentience her Corruption may cause, being alone, acknowledging that she is a bad person, fungi and rot, Meta Autunite putting an axe through the center of her Gem.
Weapon: Can manifest and fire 1-2 electromagnetic disks. Each is roughly 14 inches in diameter; the disks may fly upon a linear or slightly curved path of simply launched. If they strike an opponent, or an object as solid as another Gem, (large tree, stone, metal, rock) they will rebound utilizing inverse-inertial technology..... After they discharge a great deal of electrical current and cut deep into the surface of their target. The disks will refract at an angle inverse to the one they approached on, and will continue to refract so long as they encounter a solid target upon impact.
Ability 1: Magnetite has an extensive and powerful grasp over the laws of magnetism. Anything with ferrous traits or inherent magnetic energy is subject to her manipulation. She can control most forms of metal at will, and is capable of destabilizing plasma-based attacks and shorting out technology. She can build this power up and release it in a radial pulse. While totally without finesse and direction, the EMP pulse is shockingly powerful, and releases a small kinetic shockwave as side-effect.
Ability 2: Electrical manipulations; Magnetite can channel existing electricity and route it where she pleases. She can also produce electricity, or absorb it from outside sources and store it. Without a source to work with, she generally does not have enough charge onhand to kill another Gem unless that Gem is injured, makes no attempt to resist, or is near another factor that could mplify and exaggerate the charges's dangerous properties, such as water, particularly salt-water. While water DOES make this power more potent, it also limits Magnetite's ability to direct and control he charge she releases; water is far denser than air, and much more fluid.

History: Originally chief technician and overseer of the communications-hub, Magnetite fled when trouble arose, leaving her colleagues and the Hub itself to do for themselves. She remained in hiding for months, and became lonely and paranoid, afraid to leave the scant shelter she'd made for herself.
Over time, the foreign environment, the situation as a whole.... They got to her, and planted the first seeds of true corruption. When she eventually did emerge, she found that her refuge had been no more than a kilometer from the remnants of a security force that had been too injured to flee, after missing the last proverbial bus off Earth, just as Magnetite had. They recognized her immediately, and threatened to arrest her under charges of cowardice, disobedience of direct orders, and abandonment of her post. Panicked, Magnetite resisted and accidentally killed the first guard, who'd had a damaged Gem and really hadn't been much of a threat. Afraid that the rest would get word back to Homeworld somehow and sink her career for good, Magnetite preceded to electrocute the rest to death on the spot, using the pools of water on the floor of the caverns the guards made shelter within to speed the process along. The seeds of corruption germinated then, and Magnetite lost all sense of self for a time. When she awoke, she found herself back near the Communications-Hub, where a small group of humans were investigating. Fearing they would damage the hub further, or attempt to usurp Gem technology, Magnetite killed them in a panic and fled back to her cave, hiding for another three weeks. When she emerged, it was with the resolve to do something constructive-- she d to fix the C.-Hub, and he would have, if not for Meta Autunite....
