If members are having trouble understanding my posts please feel free to pm me, i understand i can get a little 'excessive' and sorta assume that everyone knows as much details about the show and site that i do. So as i have said if you don't understand anything, ask me, i wont bite.
Another details i have heard is grievances about with new members is my tendency to suggest other gemstones if a person uses a somewhat more common stone, ruby, emerald, sapphire ect. The thing is though I never force a member to change their stone. please note.
Another suggestion and this can be disregarded if you wish but if you wanted you could go with a more obscure gemstones, Green Jadenite would match your weapon's Chinese them, or you could go with chrysoberyl which has a green variation. Maw-sit-sit is another option, or Seraphinite. All i'm saying is that there are plenty of green stones around to use.
I will very rarely directly ask someone to change their gemstone and usually I make it abundantly clear it is just a suggestion,as in optional completely. I'm not singling anyone out but these are just things I've heard around that i wanted to clear up about.

This first paragraph is only really suggestions. Its fine if you want to keep ruby but the naming you have used them is sorta redundant, you could easily call your person red corundum to the same effect and avoid the association with Ruby. The other idea was that perhaps you could change the gemstone all together. Red Oligoclase (Granted though this is more fragile than ruby). The other gem you may be able to use is Eudialyte which is a redish gemstone that is rarely found as a clean cut and its colour of red is often refereed to as dragons blood. Finally and i feel this fits the best red Moissanite. Moissanite is harder than ruby (9.5 on moh scale), is rarer and is technically not considered a gem (thus linking into the uncut and rough themeing of your character.).
