Heliotrope gazed about her newly-bought house as the Real Estate Salesman ran away, his arms almost overflowing with the odd green slips of paper humans are often obsessed with. She'd been given them throughout her travels after completing odd jobs for people, and found them to be rather worthless as fuel for building a fire. So, she invested them in this new-found home of her's instead. A small affair, only two rooms plus a bathroom, it was densely furnished, the walls painted sea-green. She quickly noted the bed, holding a queen-sized mattress and just close enough to the fireplace to get warmed up. She promptly started a small fire and jumped on the bed, laying there in bliss for what felt like an eternity. A warm, dreamy, eternity.
Of course all good things must come to an end, and she remembered all of the rainclouds outside just a while earlier, and how all of her things were still outside of the building. The next hour or two was spent covering the walls with assorted items from her travels and things she had made. Among these items were some tribal masks from Africa, a few medieval tapestries, some woven by her own hand, and a ceremonial kris dagger and antique set of wayang kulit from the island of Java in Indonesia.
Part way through furnishing her new home she notices that she won't be able to fit all of her furniture inside the house. So she begins working on a storage shed in the yard, using those odd wooden posts lining her property, all of which have been painted an off-white colour. Quickly completing that task as well she takes a moment to step back onto the side of the street to gaze upon her mostly-finished work. Just as the rain clouds let loose. Her sense of accomplishment ruined by the sudden downpour, she returns to the inside of her home, dries off, and goes to sleep, vowing to finish her work tomorrow.
Half way through the next day she remembers said vow and, while sipping her tea, builds a sign out of more of those peculiar, off-white, wooden planks and paints, in large block letters, the words "Beach City Handicrafts, Open for Business.". And then in a smaller font "Inquiries as to what services may be provided are to be made by mail, as are commissions and appointments.". Following this she nails it to yet another of those posts, seriously there must be hundreds of them, and hammers it into the ground outside the house next to the mailbox. As an afterthought she also paints on some decorations.
((OOC: So basically this is both my character's home and workplace. If another character needs or wants something made custom for them, Heliotrope may give it a shot, provided that there is a form of payment, though she is open to barters. As the sign says, commissions, inquiries, etc. to be made by letter, basically just meaning to format your character's post as a letter, and so-on so-forth. Of course if the character is actually visiting mine then you need not format as a letter. Okay, it's 3:10 am. I need to sleep. Anything I need to clarify just write in OOC and I'll try to fix it.))
