Mr. O waited... and watched, this gem in no way could be a harm to his quest. She clearly was new to everything! When she looked to him again his bright eyes locked onto her, "Yes?!" He was eager to hear what she had to say... he was rewarded with a cute sound and some pointing, but the pointing he understood, "Correct darling! We are... Gems!" he spoke while clapping his hands together.
"So she isn't dumb... just new! Wow.... is she lucky im here! Oh-hohohoho!" While most of what he thought stayed inside his head, he did laugh out loud. Covering his mouth in the process as a reaction, he stopped and lost his smile for a moment when she keeled in front of him only to place a... honestly lovely little ring of flowers around the brim of his even more dashing top hat. A bright smile forming across his face, "Aw! Could you possibly be... anymore... innocent..."
His happy tone faded out for a moment along with his smile, his voice seemed to grow a bit more distorted towards the end of what he said. He looked away before his face returned back to a bright smile and bright eyes, turned back to look at this new gem with a smile again hoping she didn't see that.... moment.
Only to find her inches from his face when he looked back, his own eyes reflected in her visor with those mirror bright orbs gleaming out at him. For a second all that naivety seemed to fade away and it was like he was being held up under a microscope, every inch of his being being examined.
Because in that split second he had for the very first time her complete and undivided attention and the vast intelligence that loomed like a galactic storm in those orbs was terrifying. Then he could feel himself lifting off the ground, her gaze still locked with his as she floated. Then she leaned forward with a smile and very gently pressed her forehead to his, the tips of their noses bumping lightly as she let out a soft "Boop." Noise and then leaned back breaking their gaze as she rolled onto her stomach, floating just above him aimlessly, her head just a few inches from his own as she smiled.

"Err... hun? Thats... quite close?" his bright white eyes locked with her, it was like she was awake... brilliant. "My... your full of surprises aren't you?" He commented softly before feeling his body lifting from the ground once more, the floating trick yet again... it only made him wonder what she could REALLY do with power, would be a sight to see!
The moment she started to lean closer to him with a smile he smile faded slowly with a worried looked, "Don't..." he mumbled before she pressed her forehead into his, even going so far as to also being touching his nose? HIS NOSE! "..." He vanishes once more gone from sight. He lands on his feet looking around for his cane before quickly snapping his fingers, his cane poofing from the ground in the material plane and back into his hand with a light blue shine as it formed.
Leaning onto his cane for a moment as he collected his thoughts, "This gem is so... pure! This... is... insane!? How can I compete with this?!" He thinks to himself as he watched this gem for a moment, "My my.... what to do with you?" He spoke out as he tried to think of what his course of action should be here.
She blinks as he disappears registering that once again he was gone. For a few moments her gaze trailed over her surroundings trying to pinpoint him as she floated lazily. Then finally giving up she returned to her flower picking. This time however, she floated half curled, weaving the bright spots of color into her pale hair until she was satisfied that she had decorated herself appropriately.
Then her eyes fell upon the meteorite and she stopped floating. Her feet touching down without a sound as she padded over to the hulking cracked, and now cooled rock and placed her open palm against it. For the first time she looked almost torn. Trailing her fingers over the now hardened rivets where the rock and metal had become molten she bent, spotting the hole she had come out of. In the bright sunlight the filtered into the depths the gleam of metal and machinery could be seen.
The little calcite decided to follow behind the strange opalite for a while after learning why he was on the planet. The action was born more from her dependence on higher classed gems than anything else. Eventually she fell behind, seeing him take interest in the planet's environment, and wandered into the tall grass to meditate for a while. She only opened her eyes after hearing the shrieking whistle that come with a hulking object falling at high speeds, but didn't see a reason to go examine the space rock after it soared over her head and closer to where Mr. O was. She reasoned that if there was a problem because if that thing, it wasn't hers.
It was harder to hold onto that reasoning when Mr. O's voice could be heard even from where she sat. How is his speaking voice that naturally loud? Well, there had to be credit given to the near silence of the area as well, so her thoughts went to a more pressing question: Who was he talking to?
She crept towards the sound of his voice, keeping low to not be seen (going so far as to crawl on belly so she wouldn't stand out like a sore thumb in this field) and caught some of the strange exchange going on. At first, she was nearly shaking with excitement. What was a diamond doing here? How did she get here? Did Homeworld fix at least one of their transportation systems? Can she finally leave?
All of those thoughts and her excitement quickly crashed harder than a starcraft from space when she saw the opalite talking to the diamond like she had no idea what species she even was. And sunk further when the newly arrived gem responded to him with simple noises and ditzy actions. Caligo didn't know this girl had came from the meteor, but she knew a fresh gem when she saw one. She automatically assumed the diamond was made on this planet, how and why were questions reserved for gems who knew where to direct those questions.
From where she lay, she continued watching until Mr. O disappeared into that separate dimension of his and the new diamond floated over to examine the meteorite before walking on all four towards her like a vaguely interested cat. She looked around, seeing no sign of Mr. O yet, and shrugged while sitting just behind the young gem with the palms of her hands and feet planted on ground for some reason.
She took in the fallen object for a second, noting the metal interior. A fallen satellite of some kind? Didn't matter, "Hello, Diamond. I'll take a wild guess and assume you're new here. "she sent a seemingly sincere smile up to the gem, while carefully scrutinizing the diamond with her eyes. Understandably, she's never actually seen a new diamond nor a gem with a reassembled one in such an horrifically closely appearance, so even up close she assumed the brilliant shine simply came with her being freshly uncovered.
She waited to see how the gem would react to her before doing anything further. This was a rather lucky find after all, for Homeworld. Who knew how much more trouble those Rebels would become if they stumbled across the airy girl before she and Mr. O did?

Mr. O watched as this new gem moved towards the meteor.... she looked so sad! How could a face that was so.... cute now look so torn?! Unacceptable! If one blinked they would miss his shift back into the material plane, "Darling! Cheer up! You found something FAR more dashing then a fallen rock!" His arms were wide open like he was presenting something... himself of course.
Before he was able to do anything else he noticed Caligo near by and talking out to the new gem, "Oh-hohoho! So you also see her!" He paused for a moment before mumbling under his breath, "I was starting to think this was all in my divine head..." he looked away as he was in thought before turning to look at the two with a bright smile, the crown of flowers still rested along the brim of his top hat. "Though... I dont think she is a diamond... she is FAR more brilliant then any of the diamonds iv seen.... quite lovely is she not?" He asked as he made a gesture pointing towards the new gem.
He couldn't help but think how he was glad that Cal had arrived when she did and not sooner... a lesser gem should never see a commanding gem having a mental break down as much as he just had earlier....
The concern and sorrow that had softened the young gems eyes, overcasting her entire figure in a look of worry faded briefly at the sound of the other gem. Turning she blinked those large doe like refractal mirror eyes down at Calcite as a puzzled expression crossed her features. Dropping her anti-gravity field she crouched, bringing her face down low to the same level as Calcite as she tilted her head with interest and curiosity.
"Dia-mond?" She spoke softly, slowly sounding the word out as she pointed to herself before blinking up at Mr. O at his reappearance.
"Diamond?" Moissanite repeated the word once more her voice a little more steady as she pointed to herself and then to him giving Mr. O a clear look of confusion. However, she recognized the other word 'new,' and nodded flashing Calcite an absolutely brilliant smile.

Watching silently as the two gems... greeted each other? Seemed odd... though after seeing the gravity return to normal he figured she must have been calm... and hopefully whatever was making this new gem so sad had passed. "Gosh.... another gem I hate seeing sad? WHATS HAPPENING TO ME?!" screamed out in his mind as his left eye twitched a few times... this planet was starting to ware on him.
Quickly breaking his mental anguish he looked down at the new gem and his blazing smiled shined brightly as she tried speaking, again, "Diamond? Oh no, no, no! Darling you shine so much brighter then a diamond!ALMOST as dashing as myself!" He boasted before leaning down slowly, his hat remaining where it would be if he had stayed standing as he reached out with his long fingers to poke her nose softly giving her back one of her own, "Boop!" 's.
Moussanite blinked, her eyes going crossed so as to track Mr. O's finger as it lightly booped her nose right back. Then in one smooth movement she leaned forward, rubbing her cheek against his hand in a simple, but utterly honest show of affection. A soft almost humming purr just on the edge of hearing rose from her throat as she reached out to grasp his wrist so as to inspect him much more closely. Eyeing his fingers thoughtfully she brought his hand up to rest on the top of her head, motioning for him to tousle his fingers into her hair the same way she had to him.
"What is?" She finally asked, her first real semi-broken sentence as she tilted her head pointing at herself somewhat mournfully. Then she half turned to beam at Calcite and glance between her and Mr. O "Who?" Moissanite asked motioning towards the other smaller gem with all the warmth she could muster, desperately wanting to make yet another friend.
Caligo only saw a radiant diamond in front of her, so it there was no mystery as to why she tilted her head slightly at Mr. O's declaration that the new gem here was not a diamond. Normally she would take a superior gem at their word just because it's not her place to question higher authority. But there was always the occasional exception, this being one of them as she watched the two interact.
One eyebrow arched slightly at the opalite's seemingly random 'boop', this gem always had her guessing as to why he ever did anything. In her eyes, he appeared to be very affectionate towards something they didn't know much about, if anything at all. It was all very curious.
The calcite wasn't surprised when the younger gem pointed to herself in questioning as to exactly what she was, but was a little when she questioned the newest arrival was. New or not, she expected to be ignored and forgotten by this bright gem the moment the girl's attention was focused towards 'O. With a shrug, she simply replied, "You can call me Caligo. Or Calcite, I don't mind either." then looked to her superior, "What is she, then? Couldn't she just be an extremely rare form of diamond? I've never seen anyone else who matched them."

He watched for a moment as she did almost what he kind of thought she might, after placing his hand into her hair he got the picture, "Why not?" he shrugged softly before sliding his fingers around her hair as he ruffles her hair slowly. While doing so he turns his head towards Calcite and gets a rather questioning look on his face. His hat still floating up higher above where his body was.
"Im not very sure... I know it may be hard to believe but there are somethings even the GREAT MR. O!May not know...." He mumbles softly towards the end before beckoning Calcite over towards him. "Come here a moment darling I need your hand with something!" He smiled while still rustling her hair with his fingers if she had not moved away yet, once Cal grows close enough he would grab hold of her hand, "Thanks for the hand, hun!" And stands up before placing her hand into the new gems hair.
Standing up and his hat sliding into place, "Play nice! I have a beautiful idea!" Before giving them both a little wave as he steps closer to the meteor looking it over, tapping it lightly with his cane, "What secrets do you hold, husk?" He mumbles softly to himself as he inspects it taking note of the metal interior.
The young gem sat absolutely perfectly still as her eyes went half closed with a look that could only be described as utter contentment. When Mr. O switched with Calcite the only reaction gained was one pale mirrored eye opening briefly to glance at the newcomer before sliding back closed. If anything it seemed that the Diamond-Lookalike's smile grew a little bit wider.
"Cal-Cite~" She tried out the name, a little broken and unsure, but it seemed she liked the way the sound rolled off her tongue. "Caligo Calcite." She added with a happy humm nodding her head into the smaller gems hand.
Approaching the meteor though Mr. O would find that the inside of it was indeed metal. If he bothered to stick his head in he'd see a half-melted array of twisted beams, wires, and the remains of what had once been a stasis machine that had once likely created a protective artificial bubble around whatever precious cargo it had once contained. At the sight of a half-melted identification place near the base of the machine it began clear what said cargo had once been.
Research Team Stel~
But the rest of the text had been melted away, the same heat that had inevitably killed the stasis field having charred, blackened, and twisted the metal preventing it from being read any further. Yet Mr. O would get the feeling despite the half-missing name that he had heard of this before, somewhere, but where he couldn't quite place it. Beyond that it appeared there was nothing left to salvage, whatever computer had controlled the equipment was fried along with what looked like the broken off remains of one of some kind of specialized Kindergarten machine.
She decided either Mr. O might have an idea about something she knew nothing about, or he was infatuated with the young gem and had no idea what he was talking about. Until proven otherwise, this girl was a diamond to her. She stopped showing her skepticism when he motioned for her to come closer. The skeptical look came back when her hand was placed in the soft head of hair the opalite had just been playing in. She very clearly didn't know what she was supposed to do here for a plethora of reasons.
Caligo glanced back and forth between the gem before her and one moving to examine the meteor, looking uncomfortable while waiting for one of them to give her some kind of instruction. She couldn't believe Mr. O did this to have her pet the more-than-likely-a-diamond, even when it seemed like the most logical reason for him to have placed her hand there she tensed at every reason why (well that's cute, but) it's wrong.
She relaxed slightly when the new gem began trying out her name, but internally she was growing steadily more awkward and unnerved at this change of events. At the little nudge, her hand started to slide down like she was going to pull away, then was quickly replaced where Mr. O left it. Even while looking for all the world like she was only a little confused, her few little movements and shifting betrayed the fact that she was antsy and wanted to sink into the ground.

Taking his time as he glanced around the outside of the fallen husk that was thought to originally be just a meteor... far wrong as upon peeking his head into the rock slowly, his hat remained outside from the meteor as if waiting to be placed back onto his Mr. O's wonderful head. A few moments of scanning the wreckage he began to put two and two together to find that this was not just a normal metal meteor husk... it was built to carry something very special... was it... the gem?
Upon getting a closer look he was able to make out a few things from a half melted panel, "Moissanite? Why do I feel like I know this name? Hmmm.... Research Team Stel... Steller? Stella? Hmp! Shoty craftsmanship..." He mumbled to himself before quickly turning back around to see the two gems again, "Oh! Her name!" He waltz over to the two gems with a blazing smile across his face, "Her name is...." He paused a few moments to build up dramatic tension, "Moissanite! I KNEW she wasn't a diamond!" He called out with a proud look on his face before crouching down a bit next to Cal and Moiss,
"There is something special about this Moissanite... while I have no idea why she is... its just another quest for us to take on! TOGETHER!" He calls out as he spins around to make a dramatic pose, holding an arm in the air and standing on one leg. His coat tail slowly drifting in the wind the gently blew by.
Moissanite's gaze seemed to zone in on Calcite, picking up the awkwardness and worry the other gem exuded as she regarded her with concern. Had she done something wrong to upset the smaller gem? She couldn't really be sure. Picking one of the flowers she held it in her palm, extending it out towards Calcite as the flower lifted from her hand, hover weightless in the air as it spun lazily in the breeze. "Calcite." She murmured once more, beaming happily as she gently nudge the floating flower towards her.
Only for her head to jerk up at Mr. O's sudden approach. She wasn't sure why he had paused and seemed to be dragging out what was clearly something he very much wanted to impart upon them. Perhaps he like her struggled with language every so often? Yet the wait proved to be worth it.
"Moissanite~" The young gem tried out the name curling it on her tongue as though tasting the syllabus before nodding with a satisfied smile. Moissanite sounded nice, it was a good sound if not somewhat long. "Moi~Ssanite...." She it once more beaming at their little discovery, too pleased to notice that Mr. O had continued speaking with Calcite as she leaned back, to flop over into the flowers. Among the bright blossoms she closed her eyes and smiled, soaking up the sunlight in her pleasure.
Melody: how are you doing? Are you going to make a character in here?

This Roleplay is a prequel to Steven Universe to an extent with some slight retconing and its own progression to the story that will turn out differently to how stuff plays out in the show. Thanks to the message by Rose Quartz several gems are rising up to protect Earth and have labelled themselves as the Crystal Gems. Others on earth are remaining aligned to Homeworld though despite the isolation of Earth from Homeworld
All gems on earth are still stranded, the communication hub is still offline and all the space warps are shattered, it has now been revealed that this is the work of Rose Quartz and her small group known as the Crystal gems. They have rebelled against Homeworld and have chosen to protect the Earth (Trapping themselves on Homeworld to keep the warps down).
Now both sides are fighting among themselves along with fighting against the 'Corruption' a virus is infecting many gems turning most of them into mindless monsters, but those with a stronger will seem to becoming something more sinister.
The Game has changed now. The question has finally been posed, are you against Homeworld or allied with them. Or do you have your own agenda that may or may not been assisted by the ‘Corruption’. Regardless the seeds have been placed down and although it is only the beginning the fight for or against Earth and the corruption has begun. The choice is yours for how it is shaped on the Original Steven Universe Roleplay Site.
Orginal Opening Plot Here Thread That Changed Everything
Differances Between the Roleplay and the Show
*Thanks to Rose Quartz' message the Gems on Earth are entirely aware that the Homeworld Gems intend to wipe out the human race.
*The "corruption"'s Origin is still unknown, some suspect it was a viral infection, other claim it was a Diamond experiment gone awry and other suspect the organics were behind it. Regardless no one seem to have a proper answer about what it was and why its only isolated to Earth
*Garnet, Pearl and Rose are assumed capture on Homeworld
*Garnet,Pearl and Rose broke the space warps to delay Homeworld
*Thanks to Roses Message gems now know what the Kindergarten was used for
