What had it been now? A month since she had landed on this dirt ball? The pilot had no idea as to what her location was since her lead scientist Glance, went missing before completing her records.
The hunter's ship remained stationary, vines from the rain forest slowly claiming the futuristic vehicle for themselves. The White Star as the ship was known, was still perfectly capable of flying. The pilot however, they were a different story.
While the ship looked small on the outside, it had a rather large interior. A discomforting voice echoed through the dimly lit halls, repeating a list of gem's names and stating their statuses.
"Black Pearl- Shattered. Melanite- Shattered. Galena- Undetermined. Moldavite- Shattered. Nuummite- Shattered. Axinite- Shattered..."
It was clear by how coarse the individual's voice was that they had been going through the list for quite some time. Their voice would fluctuate from inaudible whispers to unbearable shouts. On occasion a mad cackle would sound out. It was clear that their state of mind was far from right.
On a wheeled chair, a tall and slender figure skidded around the bridge, this was the figure that the voice belonged to. The lights and consoles would flicker, creating a rather eerie scene. Every so often, the figure would stop at the main console and attempt to send out a distress call.
"This is Black Star Diopside, requesting assistance. The crew of the White Star have been KIA. A sickness has overtaken them. The ship is incapable of leaving Earth's atmosphere." The chilling voice went silent before returning in a malicious shout. "You know what?! Never mind! This is well over my hundredth call, I doubt any of you are actually listening. I'll be just fine on my own. Oh yes, this is very much pleasant!" Her sentence ended in an animalistic snarl that was followed by a loud clattering noise. "It's nice to know that you lot care!"
