And so, as Morion requested, Chip sent a message to Bloodstone, he asked Ice for help... and then brought both of them to the ship he discovered. It was an ancient wreck, buried mostly in the ground, overgrown by vegetation... the warp pad itself was quite old. It appeared that this place was rarely if ever visited. But some minor signs showed, that someone was here recently... "So, this is the reason I asked you to help me... this wreck could be full of old gem tech, that could help us greatly. But what I know is, that it is full of corrupted gems... I was there once, fought several of them and then had to flee... so this time I asked you to help me. We will clean the ship from monsters so our guys could loot the important parts... "
Chip explained to his friends.
"But I won't lie to you... it could be quite dangerous... there are traps inside... when I was here I found a trapdoor that lead to some weird maze thing full of monsters..."
He might missed the small detail that he wasn't here alone... but that wasn't really important...
Bloodstone had received the message from his old friend Chip and....well it was something that they admittedly had not been expecting. Octi got their stuff together and ran out to the warp pad, eventually making their way to the location that Chip had sent. Once there, the berserker nodded and listened to the whole description of the task that laid ahead
"I see..well, I suppose I'm fine doing this. Can't say I'm 100% confident about trying to break into a ship full of monsters but..I suppose that's besides the point now isn't it."
Octi shrugged and pulled out all six of their chains, ready for whatever was going to lie ahead of the three gems, and hopefully able to take anything down
Ice tagged along with Chip to the old colony ship, he didn't like the idea of coming face to face with corrupted gems, but he knew that as long as Chip was there too, that they'd be safe. He also found it cool that they were going to see one of the old ships. He'd never worked with a bunch of the old gem tech before, but he'd learned about some of it, and this would be the first time he'd ever actually have the chance to see an old colony ship. From his understanding, the ships were used to bring groups of gems to a new planet to begin working on it, so many years ago. This ship would've become outdated a long time ago, replaced by the much faster and more efficient ships that homeworld used today, and the invention of the galaxy warps, which allowed for instant travel between colony planets.
Ice smiled when he realised that the gem who was coming along with them was the bloodstone he'd met at the beach, it was a relief to know that he'd be doing this dangerous mission with gems that he trusted. He turned and listened to Chip immediately when he started talking about the mission, paying attention to the details so that he wouldn't mess anything up.
Ice nodded with understanding when Chip said that there would be traps inside. He knew it to be true, as the ships were built with all sorts of weapons and such to use for protection. The issue now was that the tech was very old and could be triggered or set off pretty easily if it was damaged enough. On the plus side, the ship would likely have a control centre located at the top of the ship. If he could get to that control centre, it would likely be possible for him to shut the whole thing down, or at the very least locate the whereabouts of the various traps on board.
Ice never actually said any of the information he knew out loud, keeping fairly quiet about his limited knowledge of the ship. Usually gems didn't care about this type of stuff unless they were other engineers, so he didn't see the point in saying anything unless it became more important. "Everything should be okay as long as we're careful... right?" Ice wasn't saying this because it was a fact, he was pretty much just trying to reassure himself that everything was going to be fine. "Anyway, you can open the door whenever you're ready, I don't think I'm going to get much more prepared than I am now." Ice braced himself, ready for whatever was going to happen when Chip put his hand on the slab beside it and opened it up.

"Well... this place is dangerous, but we are 3 gems... I think that if we go together and if we are careful we really should be safe. But we have to be really careful... there are traps and monsters and... well I am not sure if there is anything else... but it wouldn't really surprise me that much..."
He explained. Mostly to Ice since he was pretty sure that Bloodstone could brave anything the ship could offer.
"So yes, I think we should be fine, if we are careful..."
He said and opened the door. This time it was easier, since he knew how to do it. Strange thing was, that he left the door opened when he was here the last time... so why was the door closed again? Did it close by itself? Or did someone close it... he didn't know.
The first room was still overgrown by vegetation, like the last time... the door in the room was still blasted, just like he left it...
Bloodstone nodded, listening to the explanation that Chip was giving. Once it seemed like it was over, he made sure his six chains were ready before watching the door open up. The room looked like something out of one of those movies that Octi had seen before...something about a human scientist who was searching for artifacts...what was it, Indiana Jones? Nah that can't be right
"So how do we know when there might be a trap and/or monster? There any obvious signs to look out for or are we essentially just flying in blind, so to speak?"
It was a very valid question, Octi wanted to make sure that he knew what all may lay ahead, just in case
Ice walked into the ship after Bloodstone and Chip, turning his head in every direction to look at the inside of the ship. The entrance seemed pretty empty overall, just some other pathways and a communication device. Although, that was only raising Ice's concerns. He was pretty sure that most rooms in these ships had traps, he just wasn't sure if they were going to be easy to spot or not. Not being able to see any traps could mean one of two things. There were no traps in the room, or the traps were well hidden.
An idea hit Ice when he heard Bloodstone ask about the traps, sending him running outside for no apparent reason. He came back just moments later with a handful of small pebbles. "We can throw these little things where we want to step, and that way we can set off any traps without getting caught by them!" Ice really wanted to help, and thought that maybe this plan could work, at least for most types of traps.

"Monsters are yelling a lot... making all kinds of noises... so noticing them should be easy... but the traps... that will be more difficult. Then again this ship is ancient... so most of the traps shouldn't be working right now. We found just some trapdoors before... but we explored just a small portion of this ship... actually..."
He walked through blasted doors, made only few steps and poked ground with his lance. The trapdoor activated suddenly... there was no warning... no outline... nothing... "We fell down there... there were several monsters... so I have no idea what lies beyond this trap..."
He admitted. "I guess we will have to be careful... and resourceful... and we could use a wee bit of luck on our side..."
Octi sighed as he walked inside, examining the walls and floor to try to figure out what the obvious areas might be
"With luck, that's all we can do but hope in my opinion. Personally I don't mind fighting some monsters but I'd be much more comfortable if I had to wait and save them for the end of whatever the heck this is going to be. I..haven't fought too many corrupted gems here on Earth. I could use the experience I guess."
Bloodstone had an idea and used their chains to raise themselves up to the ceiling, that way if there were any traps on the floor, there was a chance he could spot them
Ice walked over to the communicator on the far side of the entrance, observing it closely. "This thing would be neat to salvage, if it's still working then you could set up somewhere, and have a neat little way of communicating with someone far away!" This was an attempt to change the subject, after they had been talking about monsters, corrupted gems, and traps. He checked it out for just a short period of time before turning back to the other two. "You know, I could probably shut everything off if we can get to the control room. This tech is really old, practically ancient, but I bet it wouldn't be too hard."
Ice was fairly confident in his abilities as an engineer. He wasn't exceptional, but he was average, and average would probably be enough to turn off an old ship. "The hard part is actually getting up there. It'd be located right at the top, so we'd probably have to get through a lot of the ship to make it there."
Ice looked over at the passageway to the rest of the ship, ready to go when the others were

Chip was glad, that they had some ideas. Especially Ice believed that he could disable the security from the control centre. "Well... then it seems we should find this control centre... Ice will shut down the stupid traps... and then we will just have to hunt ourselves some monsters... and that should be no problem for the three of us..."
He said. Then again the centre should be probably full of traps... Chip would trap it like crazy if he was designing the ship. So most likely in order to shut down the traps they had to brave a lot of traps.... shiny... "Do you have any ideas where to find this control centre? Because I surely have no clue..."
"Not really...although I'd imagine it would have to be in some sort of hub further down the ship, if this thing does exist."
Bloodstone wasn't going to immediately say that this existed but he was willing to acknowledge that the control hub was...somewhere.
"i'd imagine we have to keep our eyes out for an traps no matter how obvious. That's the main thing I'm worried about. THere's no way that the way to the hub is completely trapless..personally, I'd find that a bit illogical but of course that's just my opinion, I dunno about you two."
Octi shrugged as he hopped down from the ceiling, still having all of his chains out
Ice looked up at the ceiling. "The control centre should be around the middle at the top of the ship, I think that's where they usually put stuff like that. Although, this thing is pretty old, I can't say for certain that that's where they put it." Ice then turned his eyes to Bloodstone when he expressed his worries about there being traps in the hub. "You're probably right, the hub would almost surely be loaded up with traps, but..." Ice just pictured the room in his head using his imagination, quickly thinking about where he'd put traps in the room, and where he wouldn't. "We should be safe if we can get to that control panel, or whatever they set up the controls on. I know if I was making a ship, I would never set up traps that could do anything near a control panel, the risk of breaking it is too high." That wasn't considering the fact that there were those monsters that Chip and Bloodstone had been mentioning. Getting to the control panel would probably do very little to stop monsters.
"I've got nothing on how we go about getting there, pretty sure it's going to be dangerous no matter which way we go." Ice said this with concern in his voice, but he was still ready to go, there was a pathway near to them that he figured they might end up taking, but wasn't quite sure yet. He was waiting for Chip to decide the way, because he had actually been in the ship before and probably had a good idea of what it was like inside.

"You seems to know a lot about ships... I won't be much of a use with traps... I know very little about gem tech... guess it wasn't important for me... or perhaps it's locked in my shards... I don't know... "
He said and finally started walking. He was carefully, hypnotising the walls as it if would help, but fortunately it seemed that there were no traps in this area... or perhaps there were, but were malfunctioning... after hundred or thousands of years it was no wonder...
"This ship is enormous... how they make it that it is bigger inside than from outside... I don't get it..."
He said. He had no idea where to go... it wasn't a problem as long as the way was narrow... but soon they came to a crossroad...
"Who knows...technology, no matter what the form, always seems to change nowadays. Maybe this was one of the bigger ships that Homeworld had in its fleet or...something like that."
Bloodstone shrugged as they kept moving, having honestly no idea just what may lay ahead, but Ice's theory did make sense. The hub would likely be covered with various traps leading up to it but...the monsters were a whole different problem on their own. It was going to be quite interesting to see how well the three of them would be able to handle...well, whatever was thrown at them.
"so...which way can we go? I have no idea which way is going to be safer but...we have to make a choice"
Ice simply nodded his head when Bloodstone talked about how technology was changing quickly, it was true, technology was always advancing at such an incredible rate. As they were moving, Ice tensed up a bit, and his shivering seemed to echo through the passageway. When they got to the crossroad, Ice walked up and looked both ways, unsure of which one would be best. He didn't have the faintest clue as to which way would be better, he wasn't even sure if they would both lead up to the control room.
He looked over at one of the hallways again, and then turned back around to the other two. "Maybe we should," He glanced down at the pebbles in his arms. "Throw a few of these down each pathway, then we could hopefully set off any traps if there are any, and know which one is safer." It wouldn't exactly tell them if a path would be the right or wrong way, but it would be better than flying blind, as of right now they hadn't been doing much to prevent themselves from getting caught by the traps.

This Roleplay is a prequel to Steven Universe to an extent with some slight retconing and its own progression to the story that will turn out differently to how stuff plays out in the show. Thanks to the message by Rose Quartz several gems are rising up to protect Earth and have labelled themselves as the Crystal Gems. Others on earth are remaining aligned to Homeworld though despite the isolation of Earth from Homeworld
All gems on earth are still stranded, the communication hub is still offline and all the space warps are shattered, it has now been revealed that this is the work of Rose Quartz and her small group known as the Crystal gems. They have rebelled against Homeworld and have chosen to protect the Earth (Trapping themselves on Homeworld to keep the warps down).
Now both sides are fighting among themselves along with fighting against the 'Corruption' a virus is infecting many gems turning most of them into mindless monsters, but those with a stronger will seem to becoming something more sinister.
The Game has changed now. The question has finally been posed, are you against Homeworld or allied with them. Or do you have your own agenda that may or may not been assisted by the ‘Corruption’. Regardless the seeds have been placed down and although it is only the beginning the fight for or against Earth and the corruption has begun. The choice is yours for how it is shaped on the Original Steven Universe Roleplay Site.
Orginal Opening Plot Here Thread That Changed Everything
Differances Between the Roleplay and the Show
*Thanks to Rose Quartz' message the Gems on Earth are entirely aware that the Homeworld Gems intend to wipe out the human race.
*The "corruption" is being treated like a virus due to lack of info about it on the show.
*Garnet, Pearl and Rose are assumed capture on Homeworld
*Garnet,Pearl and Rose broke the space warps to delay Homeworld
*Thanks to Roses Message gems now know what the Kindergarten was used for
