"I am glad I could help Blue Agate... tho' Carbide is dancing on the razor's edge, Bloodstone in a denial, and Her Majesty's, White Diamond's Grand Inquisitor , his excellency, the exalted Opalite made decicions that suprised me... they are all my allies."
The Smoky Quartz nodded
"Don't worry, that mad scientist, Obsidian will pay for her crimes. A day, a year, a millennium—it matters not. I hold the patience of stone and the will of stars. Her time will come..."
Morion promised darkly
"...I am trying to keep an eye on her, but she is good at hiding! I guess she retreated to her ship to lick her wounds. Where is that ship? I don't knkow. Last time I saw it on a deserted island. She is smart, I think she hid her base under the waves, in the dark abyss of the ocean, or undergorund. But eventually she have to come out and answer to a Diamond!
"I'll be honest that I don't quite understand the politics of the whole situation, but what I do know is that Carbide would only do what's right. She may be 'on the razor's edge' or whatever, but she wouldn't ever do something bad. If you can't trust that then that says more about your intentions than anything. Not that I am accusing you of anything of course..." He gave Morion a wink, there really was no serious accusation behind the remark.
"Oh, speaking of Bloodstone," A bit of a light blue blush grew on his cheeks, "Could you uhm... pass on my sincerest apologies? As I'm sure you're aware they were caught in the middle of things and well I may of uh... well let's just say I hope I didn't do any permanent damage."
"As for Obsidian's location, I honestly have no idea. She moves around rather often, even during my capture she didn't say in one spot. Finding her will not be easy, we may even have to wait till she makes another move."
"There are four Court. One for each Diamond. We are Gems, one Empire... and every Gem have its place and funciton. Yellow Diamond is in charge of Gem military, White Diamond's Court is the court of the Elite. Blue Diamond. MY Diamond... her Court is responsible for the technological and cultural advancement of the Gem Empire. And Pink Diamond is in charge of medical advancements. Her Court is the court of the Healers. Earth is her Planet. And there are "noble" Gems, aristocracy, with all the courtly and political games."
Morion leanded back
"Now, Her Majesty's, White Diamond's Grand Inquisitor , his excellency, the exalted Opalite is an Inquisitor, with rank and title and so on... one, like Obsidian, who is, I guess, In the Blue court can easly point out, your Master's "pet", Carbide, an experimental Gem is quite rebelious and recived no punishment for it so far. She was free to do whatever she please. So it is a perfect opporunity to attack your Master and accuse him of treason. And as I said, even I can't see why he didn't tried to secure the planet and restore order! Opalite's firend and companion is Carbide, his pet as Obsidian would say, a rebelious experimental Gem. Not openly Crystal Gem, but dancing on that fine blurry line. The other firend? Bloodstone. An experimental Berserker, the victim of Yellow Diamond's scientist. AND a so-called Independent Gem. Now, don't delude ourselves, Independent is just another world for Rebel in the eyes of the Gem Empire. So what do we have? An almost rebel apprentice, a rebel friend... and him, doing nothing to prevent the chaos or solve it. Obsidian could easly say, she just tired to eliminate a problem, before it becomes a threat, namely, the Grand Inquisitor joining the Crystal Gems. Attacking Bloodstone was fair play, since she is a Rebel in every Loyal Gem's eyes - or was, untill I took her under my wings, but she is not that Loyal. And you? The friend and apprentice of the Grand Inquisitor? Surley another Rebel Gem, or one that becomes one after his Master "Fall". Turning you to a weapon? Against the compromised Grand Inquisitor and his questionable allies? Not a big price. Even if Opalite could explain everything, Obsidian did nothing "wrong". Nothing that is a crime in the Diamond's eyes! "
Morion shook his head
"She even could explain her hiding with the simple fact, Earth is in chaos, - a situation that Opalite failed to solve - and the Loyal Gems are scatered, without a strong leader - like Opalite, who retreated back to the shadows, insted of gathering the Gems under his banner - , they are lost. And it is possible, with her technology, she already contacted the Moonbase and she is there with her ship or even if she stayed on Earth - what a noble sacrifice, risking her own life to help restore order and hunt Rebels! - she is likely enjonig the protection of Pink Diamond herself, or the highest ranking Gem on the Solar System, responsible for the fleet around the Moon and the crushing of the Rebellion. And lets not rule about her potential supporters from other Courts and Her Majesty's, White Diamond's Grand Inquisitor , his excellency, the exalted Opalite's enemies.... and Gems who would benefit from his downfall. "
He sipped from his drink
"Attacking Obsidian with force, would only prove, she was right, after all... No my dear Blue Agate! We can't attack, or move "freely" in this proverbial chess board of intrigue and machinations. This is a deadly dance on a political minefield. We have to be patient and careful!
Again he listened in silence as Morion made an effort to explain the rather complicated situation to him. He was less than comfortable hearing his friends being described in such terms, but he gave Morion the benefit of the doubt that this was merely what Obsidian probably thought and not himself. At the end of the speech he grumbled to himself, "Eugh... I think I understand what you mean. This is all new to me, I'm still learning from Mr. O, but if what you say is true then I suppose we really will have to be patient." He slumped into the chair, "And here I was hoping to have this all done with before long. Oh well, can't be helped. As long as justice is dealt by the end of it, that's all I care about."
"But first thing first, my dear little blue Inqusitor, first thing first! We have to deal with several problems. Like the Broken Gem menace, the stubborn Rebels, who refuse to accept, the War is over and any further conflict is pointless, resulting only in more death and destruction; every day is a gamble from there part, will it be the day the Diamond patient runs out, and instead of diplomacy, the Armada above us opens fire. And then there are the Independent Gems, who are as bad as the Rebels. Since they are Rebels too, but without a cause!"
"We are lucky, am I right, we have Her Majesty's, White Diamond's Grand Inquisitor , his excellency, the exalted Opalite and his Inquisiton on our side to clear up this mess! What reminds me... who are exactly in your "team"? A little hobbiy of mine to keep an eye on the other Gems, and while Archangel is a great help, not a Sapphire or omnipotent and omnipresent system. So please, enlighten me Blue Agate, who are the Inquisitors?"
"I suppose there is a lot to do isn't there. I know for a fact Mr. O has made these 'Broken Gems' a particular target, they sound especially dangerous. They remind me of Obsidian... careless and willing to hurt anyone. That simply won't do." He made no comment about the rebels or the neutrals, instead silently noting Morion's opinion on them. It was something he had picked up on, withholding your own opinion whenever possible served to help stay out of conflict. The mention of this armada worried him though, "It would be smart to try and fix things before it gets to the point where these 'diamonds' feel the need to start blasting the planet."
"As for our group..." he gave Morion a wink, "I'm afraid it isn't my place to divulge that sort of information, I'm sure you understand. We all have our secrets, Inquisitors are certainly no exception. But yes, I think anyone would be lucky to have someone like Mr. O on their side. I know I am. I can assure you though that we'll be able to work together, we're on the same side after all, yes?"
"Yes, to be honest, I am a bit afraid, the Broken Gems ally themselves with Lady Obsidian, or accept her in their ranks, or makes her their leader... or at least an influental member and give acces to her to their resurces to continue her experiment"
The Smoky Quartz nodded
"At the moment, the leader of these Broken abominations, an insane monster, a Sulfur, maybe the last in existence. But this could change, like Sulfur's attitude and methods, how to lead them"
The Morion voice and eyes became very cold, more than the usual, when the Agate told him, it wasn't her place to tell him such informations" "I see. Well, then we have nothing else to discuss, my Humans will show you the way out Inquisitor."
He nodded to the Humans and turned away to continue his work
"That would be a rather big issue, considering how tricky she can be. I'd hate for her intelligence to be used by a group like them. Let's make sure that doesn't happen. I'll remember that name though... Sulfur, hmm? Duly noted."
He looked back at the now advancing humans, "So abrupt? Hmm, very well. I suppose I've taken too much of your time already. Best of luck to you Morion, it was a pleasure." He tipped his hat again and let himself be escorted out.
As they reached the bottom he was a little too roughly (he was a small after all) causing him to stumble a few steps, looking back at the door, "Hmpf, rude." he reached up and fixed his hat, "Well he wasn't very fun, bit too serious in my opinion. At least he gave me some things to report back. But first..."
Agate looked around the bustling city around him, the bright lights and sights drawing his attention, "Let's see if I can't find something fun first!"
Rat: I'm gonna try my darnedest. Posted an ad for RP in the Character Plot area, so alls I gotta do now is wait I think?

This Roleplay is a prequel to Steven Universe to an extent with some slight retconing and its own progression to the story that will turn out differently to how stuff plays out in the show. Thanks to the message by Rose Quartz several gems are rising up to protect Earth and have labelled themselves as the Crystal Gems. Others on earth are remaining aligned to Homeworld though despite the isolation of Earth from Homeworld
All gems on earth are still stranded, the communication hub is still offline and all the space warps are shattered, it has now been revealed that this is the work of Rose Quartz and her small group known as the Crystal gems. They have rebelled against Homeworld and have chosen to protect the Earth (Trapping themselves on Homeworld to keep the warps down).
Now both sides are fighting among themselves along with fighting against the 'Corruption' a virus is infecting many gems turning most of them into mindless monsters, but those with a stronger will seem to becoming something more sinister.
The Game has changed now. The question has finally been posed, are you against Homeworld or allied with them. Or do you have your own agenda that may or may not been assisted by the ‘Corruption’. Regardless the seeds have been placed down and although it is only the beginning the fight for or against Earth and the corruption has begun. The choice is yours for how it is shaped on the Original Steven Universe Roleplay Site.
