Eyes drifting from side to side, 82 approached the large temple nonchalantly, her face drawing a blank emotion-wise for anyone who saw it. The jasper encountered it in her travels, her footfalls unusually heavy; as if she had something to hide. Ascending the stairs, she finally reached the apex of the mountains; the main temple room.
Wordlessly, she sat on the edge and stared at the sunrise, its orange- scarlet rays glinting and gleaming of the tree tops and the temple's smooth marble, as if it were some sort of mystifying kaleidoscope. Bumble-no, 82. It had been so very long since she went by Bumble- rested her weary head on her arm, which in turn rested itself on her leg, as she continued to gaze at the morning sky.
Zircon didn't know where he was even beaming to when he had stepped on that warp pad. All he knew is that he needed to get as far away from Obsidian as possible- And the warp pad brought him to the sky temple. The last time he was here was with that Variscite gem; that was a blast in the past for Zircon. He hadn't even thought about that gem since he had met them. He shook his head clear of that thought, trying to get himself to realize what had just happened. He had escaped Obsidian, the gem that had kept him imprisoned for what seemed like at least a year, but was in reality only a few months. She had forced him to fuse into.. Whoever they had fused into, but then he had escaped. Yet for some reason, Zircon wasn't happy. He stepped off the warp pad looking around at his semi-familiar surroundings. He looked at the beautiful sunrise, and then down from there; at the gem that was relaxing at the edge. He walked forward towards the gem a bit stopping about 10 feet behind the other gem. He stayed silent.
The Silence was broken by a high-pitched humming. A small gem walked toward the edge, she was smiling and her eyes were closed, so she didn't notice the other gems and continued walking. She had come from the inside of the Sky temple, but she must have had very good luck to get that far with her eyes completely closed like that. She bumped into Zircon, causing her to open her eyes, if it weren't for them she likely would have walked off of the edge. Her eyes widened. "AH!" Flurry leapt backward and landed on a tiny floating cloud. "I-it was just an accident!" She said, droplets of sweat forming on her forehead. She shivered, as she did the cloud released snow, forming a pile under it. "I didn't mean to I swear! Please don't hurt me!" She yelled from atop the cloud, floating back a bit.
Exhaling loudly, 82 turned her head, face revealing no emotion. She now saw a yelling rebel-if she could even call it that- on a powdery white cloud, and a Homeworlder, appearing as though he was anxious to approach her. 82, like the optimist she was, greeted the pair. "Who are you and why can you not let me focus." she asked, in the driest tone she could muster despite her mild annoyance of the rebel's high pitched squealing. Speaking of the rebel, she was barely even there to begin with. she wondered how easy it would be to throw this gem off the sheer cliffside, and how long it would take her to crash down, or if she would just float down like a feather in the wind.
Zircon stumbled forward- He was rather short so he imagined that whoever just bumped into him might stumble over Zircon, therefore he tried to move out of the way before that happened. He turned around, looking at the new arrival, and then back to Bumble. "Sorry, it wasn't my intention to disturb you- Just need to find somewhere quiet to sit and think about things." He said in rather quiet, sad tone. He didn't seem too energetic. "I'm really not in the mood for sharing names either, so if you would allow me to just sit down I would appreciate it." He said in a slightly louder, yet still sad tone. "Also, it should be noted, I don't exactly know who this gem is." He said, now looking over at Flurry. "Whoever you are, I wouldn't worry about me hurting you; I doubt I can even summon a weapon anymore- Also I don't really care." He said in a cynical tone. In general, Zircon seemed like a kind of cynical gem, but to be fair he wasn't really in the greatest of moods right now. Zircon's stance was that of someone who simply wanted to relax; his shoulders and back were tensed up, yet his back was also ever so slightly hunched forward. His left leg was out straight, while his right leg was pulled back a bit further, relaxed. His arms were crossed in front of him as he stared at Flurry with his icy blue eyes behind a darker blue visor.
Flurry seemed confused by Zircon not wanting to share names, raising an eyebrow. She smiled and sat beside him.
"Well, that's fine! I`ll call you bro until I learn your name. I`ll share my name, I'm Flurry, one of the Crystal Gems! " Flurry said, smiling at him cheerily, giving away information about herself.. She then listened to the fact that he couldn't currently summon his weapon. "What do you mean anymore? You mean you can't summon it for a little while! I'm sure you`ll be able to summon it eventually, at least you have a weapon. I've never summoned mine, I doubt I even have one! "
She then turned to Bumble Bee Jasper. "Hey you there! What's your name? " Flurry asked, resummoning her cloud and sitting on it.
Finally she turned around and knelt, placing her hands on her lap. "No, it's fine." she said to the blue gem. "I'm just here to relax, not fight." Though, she considered its truth when she heard the one who lazed about on a cloud clearly speak of her lack of weapon. What else is she gonna give away, where the rebel base is? 82 thought, eyes showing little emotion despite her humorous mood. Though, it almost showed though when the cloud-sitter addressed her again. "If you insist," the jasper exhaled. "I am Bumble Bee Jasper, Facet 5BB, Cut 82YS. Loyal soldier of her Yellow Majesty." she repeated from memory, it coming out of her mouth smoothly due to it being worn down in her head back on Homeworld.
"Of course, one of the first gems I meet after Obsidian is Homeworld- Why not?" Zircon thought sarcastically, still having his arms crossed. A frown came onto his face as he thought, easily visual through the transparent blue visor. Zircon sighed as he heard Flurry's reply. She didn't really understand Zircon's situation and Zircon wasn't really in the mood to explain the whole thing, so he replied with a grim "Yeah.. Sure." He said, glancing over the edge of the sky temple. Zircon wasn't really in the mood for a chat with a rebel or with a Homeworld Quartz; Zircon knew she was a Quartz because she said 'Jasper', and despite her being a bit shorter then most Quartz, her build was still similar. "..I guess I'll tell you my name, since I prefer being called it over 'bro'." He said, sighing and glancing back over to Flurry. "Zircon, Facet 2J7- No, I mean.. Zircon.. It's just Zircon." He said, catching himself and stammering mid sentence before thinking to himself "You're not Homeworld anymore. Your facet and cut don't matter." Zircon would lean against a pillar that had fallen behind him long ago, and was covered in Ivy; sighing again before looking up and straight forward, though not at anything in particular.
"Okay then Zircon! " Flurry said, smiling while closing her eyes and giving him an exaggeratedly excited thumbs up.
At that moment apparently Bumble's words had sank in. Flurry's eyes widened and she slowly turned to Bumble in shock. With a sort of battle cry she hopped off of her cloud and formed a sort of humorous martial arts stance. While she attempted to look intimidating, she just looked silly.
"My first homeworld gem encounter since I've joined the crystal gems! " Flurry said. "Zircon, you've gotta give me some support, I can't defeat a quartz alone! " Flurry said looking behind, assuming that Zircon was going to help her. "What kinds of abilities do you have? Quartzes are tough so I'm gonna need a lot of aid! "
"Fair enough." the quartz relaxed, keeping her guard barely up. she waited for the rebel to sort everything out before she would decide to engage. After all, 82 did like a fair fight. Though, she was itching for a good fight. Cracking her knuckles, she rose to her seemingly towering height, promptly leaning on a pillar.
The sky was beginning to dip into a red and gold sunset, clouds distributing the pastel lights across the forested landscape. A deep sigh escaped her lips as she looked back at the temple. In the distance, if one were to be listening well enough, one could hear the unmistakable rattling roars of a corrupted gem, deep in the jungle. However, due to her focus now being on the temple's intricate wall murals, she neglected to hear such a roar. Thus, she thought nothing of it.
Zircon gave Flurry an apprehensive look, his arms still crossed. He then looked over to Bumble, and back to Flurry. "I'm not taking a side. Even if I did I would be no help." He said looking down sadly. "I have no abilities, I can't summon a weapon anymore, and I can't hold out long against other gems." He slumped against the column behind him sliding down into a sitting position resting his still crossed arms on top of his legs. "You'll be better off without me fighting on your side, trust me." He said looking back up at the soon to be battlefield. He had never watched a fight so this would be quite interesting. He looked between the two gems, waiting for one to strike at the other.
Flurry took all of her attention off of bumble and looked at Zircon sadly.
"So you mean... you can't do anything at all? Well... I'm not really that strong either... I have this cloud and I can heal people, but when I heal someone it makes me really weak... and I can't really summon a weapon. So, we could totally be some sort of squad or something... somebody like you should really join the crystal gems, we're stronger together right? That's why I joined, I probably would be shattered already if it weren't for my friends... " Flurry said smiling. She took a seat next to Zircon, completely ignoring her foe, who was most likely going to attack her.
"Even if you can't help, there are other things besides just fighting, I know that If you try, you'll be able to do something! " Flurry said, pumping her fist.
The jasper finally decided it was time to begin the fight, her gaze drifting back to the supposed pair. She turned the rest of her body, and her gem's trademark honey light glowed brightly as a shield, in the appearance of a honeycomb, was materialized from such light. Taking the routine stance, 82, brandishing the golden weapon in front of her. Eventually, the quartz walked forward, keeping her weapon steadily in front of her. When she felt she was close enough, her somewhat heavy footfalls ceased and she resumed her previous position. Soon, she would wait no longer and launch onto them, hopefully dissipating their forms in the process. Or even better, she would shatter the pathetic cloud dweller. 82's gaze intensified at the thought.
Zircon looked over at Flurry as she sat down and gave her a harsh look. His face softened a bit as he spoke "Thanks for the pity, and the attempt at motivating me- But I don't need it. I'm not some 5 year old human." He didn't acknowledge her telling him to try. He didn't want to. "And I've got nothing on my agenda about helping the rebels, so don't try and recruit me to them." He said looking towards Bumble. He referred to the Crystal Gems as rebels- That's all they were to him. He had a grave, sullen look etched onto his face. "It looks like someone wants to fight you, so I would get to it." He remarked now looking past Bumble at nothing in particular. He wasn't in the mood to talk to another gem right now; especially such an energetic and happy gem. It made him feel bad for feeling bad. He already had enough to feel bad about, so he didn't want to add more things to that list.
"Well, you don't have to worry about joining us, but we'd always help a gem in need! If you want to come by one of our bases we'd definitely welcome you in... It's not about helping us, it's about us helping you. Gems like you don't get to have things fairly, and that makes us unhappy. So please just consider it, it's dangerous to just be wandering around. " Flurry said. "Oh! I know! You could work at a human restaurant, that doesn't take any abilities at all do to! It might be fun! Well, I don't know, I'd say it's worth a try. "
It was then that Flurry noticed the attack coming. With all of the force she could get from her legs she leapt in front of Zircon, ready to take the hit. She winced as she prepared for impact.

This Roleplay is a prequel to Steven Universe to an extent with some slight retconing and its own progression to the story that will turn out differently to how stuff plays out in the show. Thanks to the message by Rose Quartz several gems are rising up to protect Earth and have labelled themselves as the Crystal Gems. Others on earth are remaining aligned to Homeworld though despite the isolation of Earth from Homeworld
All gems on earth are still stranded, the communication hub is still offline and all the space warps are shattered, it has now been revealed that this is the work of Rose Quartz and her small group known as the Crystal gems. They have rebelled against Homeworld and have chosen to protect the Earth (Trapping themselves on Homeworld to keep the warps down).
Now both sides are fighting among themselves along with fighting against the 'Corruption' a virus is infecting many gems turning most of them into mindless monsters, but those with a stronger will seem to becoming something more sinister.
The Game has changed now. The question has finally been posed, are you against Homeworld or allied with them. Or do you have your own agenda that may or may not been assisted by the ‘Corruption’. Regardless the seeds have been placed down and although it is only the beginning the fight for or against Earth and the corruption has begun. The choice is yours for how it is shaped on the Original Steven Universe Roleplay Site.
Orginal Opening Plot Here Thread That Changed Everything
Differances Between the Roleplay and the Show
*Thanks to Rose Quartz' message the Gems on Earth are entirely aware that the Homeworld Gems intend to wipe out the human race.
*The "corruption"'s Origin is still unknown, some suspect it was a viral infection, other claim it was a Diamond experiment gone awry and other suspect the organics were behind it. Regardless no one seem to have a proper answer about what it was and why its only isolated to Earth
*Garnet, Pearl and Rose are assumed capture on Homeworld
*Garnet,Pearl and Rose broke the space warps to delay Homeworld
*Thanks to Roses Message gems now know what the Kindergarten was used for
