Listening to both of these gems, Pink had been thrown another curve ball of sorts. Gems, inspired by humans, more primitive then their own race? That was a interesting concept, but at the same time, Pink was disgusted, how was something failing horribly, considered noble? Death of thousands for a goal not attained, it sounded wrong.
She was beginning to notice something more about Sapphire however. Continuously, he had more information then the both of them, and while that could be due to how long he had been on the planet, probably longer then Padparascha...
...She was getting the feeling that he seemed to be defending them with the information, more so then normal. Could this mean anything? Or was he just playing devil's advocate, extremely well?
Pink's eyes settled on the Sapphire as she began to become suspicious of the gem in question, hoping maybe he'd spill the beans onto whether or not, he had sympathies with the rebellion.
"It sounds more like a tragedy," She said, her tone lower as she took on the notion that it could possibly be considered noble to turn on one's own. "Gems should have more civility than Earthling apes, no?" and yet, it seemed that many of them didn't. A good number of the gems she'd come across on Earth seemed to lack the civility that she had once considered an innate part of a gem's dignity. Some held onto that honor, despite being chained to the planet, but she often didn't expect it.
She thought a bit more on the comparison of gems and humans. The sapphire had little interaction with them-- aside from almost being mugged, and nearly being shot on another occasion. She'd met an Emerald who had studied them and claimed they were interesting. But, the creatures were unsightly to Padparadscha, they made her uncomfortable. "It is rather peculiar that the rebellion would start here of all places, on Pink Diamond's first colony. The efforts to tame this planet have been agonizingly slow in comparison to other colonies. It's often been suggested to me that there is something strange about this planet in particular, something unique to it. Perhaps addressing the rebellion means addressing Earth in particular, and the obscurity behind it," The sapphire herself could attest to the many unsettling, strange experiences she had here. Some of those experiences had completely upended what she felt was within the realm of possibility. Her thoughts lingered on those memories for a moment. Was Earth itself some kind of living creature? The thought seemed ridiculous, yet she kept running into that idea in her travels. Now, Padparadscha was finding herself less angry, and more curious.
"What makes Earth so different from every other planetoid conquered by the empire? Why rebel here? You say the rebels want to protect it, but what, do you suggest, they are protecting it from?" She supposed whatever answer Sapphire would give could serve multiple purposes; to quell her curiosity, and to feed her case.
"I have to admit I was thinking human were just organic primitives and in many aspects they are. Yet there is something about them that is fascinating. They live short lives - only around 75 years in average. This short lifespan makes them do everything faster. Yet their collective culture, history, works of art and more are really far beyond what you could expect from species with such a primitive technology..."
They had their value. Sapphire spent more time he was willing to acknowledge by studying them. Not as individuals but as species. He wasn't sure how to interact with a single human, but he knew more about their culture than most of them.
"While I respect your Diamond a great deal and I do not wish to insult her in any way, there are some who believe that this is exactly because this is her first colony. Perhaps the rebels thought her weak, or perhaps she allowed it to happen. To see how exactly this planet is weird perhaps? I can't claim to know your Diamond's thoughts."
He explained. He truly believed that this couldn't happen on his Diamond's planets.
"What is special about this planet? It's ecosystem and biodiversity is certainly unique. Humans are also very unique. Otherwise? Not much... there are no resources that couldn't be found elsewhere, it's position doesn't hold any obvious strategic value, it's Sun is a normal yellow dwarf... I can think of nothing."
Diamonds were probably afraid. With their rapid progress humans might become more powerful. Their thirst for knowledge and freedom was dangerous precedent for any gems on Earth...

From Pink's experience, she'd have to agree with Padparascha more then Sapphire, though Sapphire suggesting such a thing, that their diamond was imperfect, and allowed this horrible event, seemed insulting. Their diamond wouldn't allow something like this, would she?
Slowly, Pink was becoming more and more curious and suspicious of Sapphire, though she remembered being suspicious earlier, and was easily thrown off. Plus, the gem in question was very... Bland to say the least, it was hard to get anything evidence wise.
But, she remembered Sapphire had said something earlier, that had provoked her to become suspicious in the first place. Though she didn't remember what it was.
Welp, best way to remember, is to go back and check, something she could do easily... Sort of.
Her form should be fine, with both sapphires and if she remembered correctly, there was rubies... Somewhere?
Her eye seemed to turn into a reflection as she retreated to the past, loosing control of her body as she did so, causing her unbalanced head to fall, slamming into the table. Pink was going to have a major headache when she returned.
Otherwise, she went back to the beginning, checking Sapphires statements, and if any evidence of her suspicions were correct, now that the events had passed, and nothing could distract her.
Padparadscha was enthralled by the conversation, despite her frequently ignited ire-- she thrived off of controversy, it made up a large portion of what she dealt with after all. Her focus was intent on the blue-court gem's words as he spoke, and she gave careful consideration to them. It sounded as if Sapphire was offering praise to the humans; she couldn't say one way or the other if what he said was correct with her little knowledge on the things, but it didn't sit well with her. Despite Sapphire's preamble, part of her felt as if this aristocrat was, in fact, undercutting her Diamond-- it caused her eyes to narrow, but still, the correct answer seemed nebulous. If it were true, then why had rebellions not broken out on Yellow Diamond's first colonies, or Blue Diamond's first colonies? Why Pink Diamond's? His final statement left her in contemplation for another moment.
Just as she parted her lips to give her response, Pink Sapphire's head smacked the table, sending a ripple through the old wood. Padpara jumped, her head tore away from Sapphire, and her gaze widened. She'd been completely ripped out of the discussion as she realized that the younger pink-court gem seemed to succumb to some kind of sudden black-out. "Pink Sapphire?!" Her voice strained as she stood up in her seat,"A-are you alright?" She reached across the table, and shook the gem by the shoulder, distress tinged her tone,"Pink? Can you hear me?"
For some time it seemed that this conversation was between Sapphire and Padparadscha. Pink Sapphire seemed to be staying out of it. The debate was heating a little, it was a fight, where only words were used instead of weapons. But Pink Sapphire chose a very interesting way to interrupt the conversation - she hit her head against the table. Sapphire was genuinely surprised. In most situations like this, his future vision would warn him, but not this time. For the first time, his calm composure got a dent. For a moment a surprising look appeared on his face.
"Are you feeling well? Are you injured?"
He gently helped her sit up. He had no idea why she has done it, but he was slightly worried, her gem was on her face, and even if wood was soft material, she might have damage her gem in some way...
Pink on the other hand, unaware of the event in the present, continued to scavenge through the conversation. Sapphire was so calm, he didn't seem to give up any evidence he was aligned to the other side.
Maybe he was under the diamond authority, as nothing seemed to point to him being otherwise. Plus, devil's antagonist was always a viable response in negotiation.
Though, Pink felt thrown off. Something more HAD to be in play, out of all three of them, there had to be a chance that one of them, was a rebel.
Maybe the pearl was the rebel! Or the rubies!
Pink, within her mind, sighed. No, no. It couldn't be that. Those gems would of demonstrated their rebellious tendencies sometime within the beginning and current conversation, or even then, too many factors would state they were Homeworld gems, even if they weren't.
Her suspicions, they must of been misplaced. Of course a novice such as herself would do such a thing.
Pink prepared to return to the present, disappointment in tow. However...
Something, was blocking her from reality. She could see through the past still, up to the minute before the present, she just couldn't move her body. She tried once again to return, but as she watched the last minute unfold, she saw her body had gone limp as she had retreated, into the past, and her head, unevenly balanced, had slammed into the bench.
And from the looks and actions of both gems, something was clearly wrong.
Pink watched them question her, however the body was limp, nonreactive. It was a interesting, out of body experience, but it was beginning to scare her.
"Come on, lemme back in!" She cried out from inside her mind, banging on the barrier that blocked her return. Had her gem been cracked? Pink couldn't tell, her hair had covered the gem, and the others had yet to check.
Was she just having a vision fritz?
What would they discover if they inspected her gem?
When Sapphire pulled Pink up from the table, Padparadscha reached over to brush the bangs from the young gem's face-- her other hand went up over her own lips as she saw a hair-line fissure that coursed across the entire surface of the gem on her cheek. "Pink Sapphire?" Her eyes widened as she looked into the pink gemstone, her image reflected back to her through its fractured facets. Her pearl stood by, her own expression overtaken by horror.
Padparadscha turned to look at Sapphire, her eyes wide. "...cracked," Her mind rushed as she tried to think of a way to save the situation. She'd been so involved in the conversation that she hadn't been paying much attention to Pink-- could this have been prevented if Padpara had paid more attention? If she hadn't let her curiosity, ire, and penchant for talkativeness cloud her awareness of surroundings? She grimaced, she had no idea what they could do. There weren't many cuts of gem who were able to heal such damage. Aside, she had no idea what had happened to the poor sapphire.
"Sapphire...what are we going to do?" Padparadscha felt responsible for this, and she could see the concern that had broken through the surface of the blue-court dignitary's cool facade. They couldn't simply abandon the young gem, it was out of the question.
This situation was unpleasant, to say the least. In some strange way, he had to admire Pink Sapphire. She managed to both injured herself, by herself, in a completely safe place, and force his hand in the same way. He was bound to help this Sapphire but he had only two choices - to get a healer and he only knew two, both of them knowing he was a Crystal Gem or reveal the Healing shrine - which was guarded by Crystal Gems... "We must help her of course, that's without a question."
He stated still unsure of how to proceed. Though in this instant him being unsure was quite understandable. Perhaps it was time to reveal his mission to them? That might help... but Blue Diamond forbid him of telling anyone. She might understand if a life of fellow Sapphire was in question...
"I can think of two possibilities how to help her... I know a certain gem, who is a healer... he is... strange, to say the least, chaotic and really an unstable element, but is known to help everyone who needs him. Then there is also a place filled with healing substance. The only problem is, that this place is heavily guarded... by Crystal Gems. Crystal Gems who would be very happy if they could capture three Sapphires..."

"...W-what..." Pink muttered, her eyes widening as she stared at the crack from within her mind. This couldn't be right...
How had she managed to crack her gem, here of all places? It was so peaceful here, and all they were doing was talking.
...Had the blow to her head from leaving the present, managed to cause the damage? What would they do now?
What were they going to do with her? There had to be healers somewhere... Right? This planet was the perfect place for healers...
Pink began to panic, her metaphorical image of herself looked around the area, desperate for something, anything that could help her.
She couldn't see anything.
As she returned to listen to the Sapphires plans, Pink had a pinch of hope, though that quickly dissipated into pure pessimism as she realized, that Sapphire was right. There was a high chance they'd be captured, and what would they do with three sapphires? Use them as a bargaining chip?
Pink shivered to think that these crystal gems, would go as far as to torture Sapphires.
But what scared her more, was how were they going to keep her alive, how were they going to get to either of these choices?
She grimaced, both options sounded like they could go any number of ways. The possibility of having to face with a wildcard gem always put her on edge, and not knowing who this gem might be or how they may react to this situation was not ideal. But, having to face with Crystal Gem guards was an even more wild suggestion from her own perspective. But it was something; she'd heard rumors about such a location herself, and the fact that Sapphire knew of it seemed to be a great coincidence. The pressing nature of the matter made it difficult for Padparadscha to dwell on how or why he knew, for now she didn't care-- the only thing that mattered was getting Pink help.
"This gem-- can he be reached quickly?" She looked back to Pink Sapphire. Though it seemed that the damage wasn't getting any worse, it was hard to say what kind of turmoil the gem was going through in this moment. Padparadscha had never experienced it, and she'd never seen it with her own eyes until now. However, she'd heard horror stories about the glitches one could undergo when inflicted with damage to their gem. Pink had already been through so much,"If not...can this...haven of Crystal Gem's be warped to? It sounds like quite the risk to take, considering she will need our help to get there-- but if those rebels have the indecency to stand in the way of a gem in need, I wont mind burning them down," Her own somewhat confrontational nature made her relish the thought of being able to put some of them in their place, but she knew that the rebels wouldn't make it easy. They were, after all, three sapphires not meant for combat-- and one of them was already compromised.
"I can contact this gem through a gem communicator... I believe he will arrive shortly to help Pink Sapphire... though we don't have any assurance. Not to mention we are not exactly allies..."
Sapphire was positive this gem will help, but there was always a chance he might also say something to endanger his cover, which was sub optimal. It was still the safer from those two options as he believed.
"This "haven" as you call it is hidden somewhere in the mountains, I don't know the exact location... it might take hours or even days to find it. My guards should be able to defeat guards of this place, but I think it is still dangerous..."
Not that he would force two groups of Crytal Gems to fight each other...

"Then call the gem! It's not like they'll attack us, practically every gem I've met on this planet is all talk and no bite!" She replied from within, crossing her metaphorical arms. If anything, the only gem who had attacked her was a psycho gem, and Chrysolite. And if she remembered correctly, neither were crystal gems.
At least she thought.
She stared at Sapphire as she had to "rewind" him to hear his next statement, going a few seconds into the past to hear it again.
Pink was upset to hear his next words. "...Why is this healing place so heavily guarded!? If it's a spring for gems to heal from, wouldn't those guards want to help!?" She continued to argue, but sadly, no voice came from her body.
...Pink began to wish Mind-Phones were a thing.
Then again, she had been panicking this entire time, and to show such undignified behavior, that was truly the rude part.
It seemed out of the question to try to spend an unknown amount of time trying to track down this hidden rebel sanctuary, but to hear that Sapphire wasn't on good terms with this other gem was also worrisome. Would the gem refuse to help? Would Sapphire even be able to contact the gem? Padparadscha's mind was running in circles, she didn't know what else could be done aside from calling in a dispatch from the moonbase, which could take hours in of itself.
She looked over the gem on Pink's cheek again, and gave an exasperated sigh-- Padpara was upset with her own tunnel vision. She remembered the comment that Sapphire had made earlier about it, and wondered to herself if this would've happened had she kept a better note of her surroundings. What made the pink sapphire so suddenly blink out? She had no idea, but part of her worried that it had been the stress of the conversation itself. Sapphire's were meant for the sharing of key information, so it seemed a strange thought to think that one would be so fragile to contentious conversation. But, this was the same gem who had recently plummeted to Earth and lost everything she knew.
"I suggest we contact this gem. If he refuses...then I'll have my pearl wait for a medical dispatch while we try to track down this location you speak of," Her words moved quickly from her as she tried to quell her discomfort, and she looked up to her pearl before giving a single, solemn nod. The pearl nodded back, and flipped out her own small holoscreen to prepare to give the call to Headquarters.
Sapphire nodded and raised his hand slightly. One of his ruby guards quickly ran closer.
"Be so kind and hand me the communicator. That will be all."
He took the communicator from his guard, it was a slightly better version of standard gem tech, only somewhat more durable and possibly with a direct line to his Diamond? He activated it with a touch.
"Greetings young Fire Opal, would you be kind enough to fly to this location? An... acquaintance of mine was injured, her gem is cracked and she requires immediate help. Yes, yes I am well aware of that. Yes, I am well aware that it may appear hypocritical of me to ask for your help, yet I do so anyway."
Sapphire sighed as he was talking with the gem on the other side.
"Yes, indeed, my pride is deeply wounded... now will you arrive, please? Thank you, your assistance is much appreciated."

This Roleplay is a prequel to Steven Universe to an extent with some slight retconing and its own progression to the story that will turn out differently to how stuff plays out in the show. Thanks to the message by Rose Quartz several gems are rising up to protect Earth and have labelled themselves as the Crystal Gems. Others on earth are remaining aligned to Homeworld though despite the isolation of Earth from Homeworld
All gems on earth are still stranded, the communication hub is still offline and all the space warps are shattered, it has now been revealed that this is the work of Rose Quartz and her small group known as the Crystal gems. They have rebelled against Homeworld and have chosen to protect the Earth (Trapping themselves on Homeworld to keep the warps down).
Now both sides are fighting among themselves along with fighting against the 'Corruption' a virus is infecting many gems turning most of them into mindless monsters, but those with a stronger will seem to becoming something more sinister.
The Game has changed now. The question has finally been posed, are you against Homeworld or allied with them. Or do you have your own agenda that may or may not been assisted by the ‘Corruption’. Regardless the seeds have been placed down and although it is only the beginning the fight for or against Earth and the corruption has begun. The choice is yours for how it is shaped on the Original Steven Universe Roleplay Site.

Differances Between the Roleplay and the Show
*Thanks to Rose Quartz' message the Gems on Earth are entirely aware that the Homeworld Gems intend to wipe out the human race.
*The "corruption"'s Origin is still unknown, some suspect it was a viral infection, other claim it was a Diamond experiment gone awry and other suspect the organics were behind it. Regardless no one seem to have a proper answer about what it was and why its only isolated to Earth
*Garnet, Pearl and Rose are assumed capture on Homeworld
*Garnet,Pearl and Rose broke the space warps to delay Homeworld
*Thanks to Roses Message gems now know what the Kindergarten was used for
