(Sorry for the extremely long wait, I hope it was worth it)
Sunset was showing itself at the horizon as the group of four moved through the buzzing nightlife of the giant metropolis. What kind of group? A green pearl who lost her owner, a small yellow gem, a very strange peridot and an ominous slender figure, wearing a white robe with black motives, who brought them all together. Radiant lead the way while having all the others next to him in order to not lose them amidst this mass of people, although the four were so "different" in their aestethic that, should one member get lost, the others could find him easier. The inhabitants however did not pay attention, gems were normal, and weird people even more so.
Once they arrived, PR couldn't talk much, even if she wanted. She felt something weird before lose control again, it was like if she needed to give up and give full control to Peridot, she just didn't know why. Suddenly Peridot gets near Radiant. "White Beryl, i recommend you to tell me what was that before back then on the island, and watch out..." Peridot pointed her Shoulder Spikes towards his back. "Here, i have all i need to eradicate everyone around, without hesitating, so here's a tip if you want to counterattack... Don't" She was bluffing, her deal was just with Radiant. He wanted some trouble, now he'll get it doubled. Bystanders and the others Gems would not get caught on her rampage if she would do it right. Peridot verified some metal buildings and tools without use, then she planned the attack. "Don't try to stop me! He's not what it seems... At least, i heard enough from the brat's ears, he thinks that's my superior, then prove it... without being shattered" Bluffed again to see if he was the only one hiding behind a mask there.
Well, here they were again. Cat's Eye and Radiant, back in the city known as Empire City, one of the largest on this continent. The last time she was here, she had visited the latter's apartment, where the yellow gem learned he still served Homeworld. Yet, it was also the place where she agreed to assist him in his work. It was a strange, unexpected outcome, but in some way, Cat's Eye had grown to trust the taller, white gem leading the group, if only slightly. A worried look crossed her face as she listened to PR's bluffs. Though, it seems that she had retreated into her colder persona, the one that liked to be called Peridot. From what little she knew about her, the effects she could possibly do were less serious than what she made them out to be. Or so she thought. The anxiety, the anticipation of trouble waiting to happen still hung in the back of the yellow gem's mind like storm clouds.
Trying to stray away from the subject, Cat's Eye asked, "How much longer is it until we get to your place?" She knew it was within this city, and she had been there before. Then again, the gem has only ever been here once before. Hopefully Radiant would understand her curiousity... right?
Silently, the green pearl followed the other gems. A look of disgust crossed her face as she eavesdropped on the conversation. What was this peridot thinking if she could dare challenge a high-ranking gem. Especially one of, she was assuming, the gems that served White Diamond. It was trivial, if Radiant reported her to his Diamond, she would shatter that peridot almost immediately. The tension in her face released. No, she should be thinking such nasty thoughts about her fellow gem. Rebel or not, Peridot was an ally for now. An ally she did not like much, but still an ally.
Her eye looked down on the yellow gem. Cat's Eye was her name, is it not? The gem seemed unusually short for one of her cut, but she didn't question. The gem already proved herself to be quite a nuisance, asking such useless and insensitive questions. She did not know what the white beryl was thinking when he allied with them, but it was his choices, and his choices she should not object to.
The eyes of the masses slowly looked at the group, triggered by Peridot's shout. All should have gone smoothly, now Radiant needed another plan. Of course, a peaceful solution would be a good one, but if no other path coul be treaded, he would need to become violent, but not here, not now. As fast as he could, he put a finger on Peridot's lips He whispered into her ear: "We do not want to cause any chaos here. I am sorry for what happened at the Island, but what you plan on doing is not, in any way, productive... At least wait until we get to my home." Turning his head at Cat's Eyes, he answered the question she posed: "We will soon be there." Lastly, he turned to Green Pearl and walked up towards her, talking quietly: "I hope you are not annoyed by our company here. A good tea and some music might relax the tension once we get to my home. How does that sound?"
Peridot almost bit his hand, but she thought about doing this later with more proof that he's up to something. She calmed down but something was off. "Guys, are everyone... Shut up brat" She pulled back her Spikes and prepared for the worst. Usually Peridot would give up when bad stuff started happening, but this time she wanted answers. After some time she started to lose her mind to PR, she started to giggle creepily at random moments for no apparent reason, her mind was just too exhausted or something was off with her too, because she stopped listening the others for a while and kept walking as if already knew where she was going, but there was no way that would happen, she never met Radiant before this.
The gem wasn't exactly relieved that the answer given to her question was vague, but there was nothing she could do about it. Hearing PR's giggles worried her a little bit. If she was already starting to lose it, then perhaps they needed to get to Radiant's apartment, and fast. Noticing that she was starting to walk faster than the group, Cat's Eye was a little alarmed. "Wha- Peridot?!" PR's voice had a colder edge to it now, reminding her of when they first met on the island they were previously on. The PR then told them to refer to her as Peridot, not PR like her more cheerful persona. She didn't know how PR would react if she called her PR at the moment, so she decided to play it safe and call the green gem 'Peridot'.
"What are you doing?!" she called out in alarm to the fast-walking peridot. Cat's Eye felt a little safer since the first time she was here, increasing her confidence ever-so-slightly. Besides, she could protect herself if they come across danger. ...Right?
Noticing the white beryl walking up to Green Pearl, she looked up at him. "They are fine," she told him. It was a lie in some sorts; Peridot and Cat's Eye did annoy her. Yet, she could be with worse gems. "But I would like to relax," she added after a brief pause. She was not sure what tea exactly was, but she did know what music was. She sung songs for her old owner occasionally. Occasionally was the key word. It had been years since she last heard music. It was not a long time to her personally, but it was still a considerable amount of time. Her heart felt heavy at the thought, but she must not break down into tears here. "Yes, I would be fine with that," she finished for clarification. The pearl was no longer needed, and she spoke no more, silently walking with the group and paying no attention to what was unfolding in front of her.
At this point Radiant did not necessarily care for the Peridot anymore, yet expected her to come to her own senses. For now, he concentrated on the task of getring home. Walking through the crowded streets which, although having in them many different individuals, all behaved like united gray blobs of sameness, he finally saw the skyscraper which housed his appartement. Leading the way for Cat's Eye and Green Pearl, he walked towards it. He was not quite sure about Green Pearl's attitude. She was a Pearl after all, but he knew that something was eating her from the inside out, most probably her griev over her lost owner. But this needed to wait, talking directly about this would not be a good idea.
Something was weird... The group didn't fall apart... Although everything points to this crew's very end. Something, Someone is blocking the way out of this, someone is keeping these Gems from falling apart. Peridot didn't care for who was, but she wanted to know... Why? The reason to make this pointless tour across this town just to pass by his home, there's something there, but what? As much as she kept thinking this way, more she laughed with euphoria, although it wasn't loud at all, just who was around her could hear softly. So much things was passing through her head that she couldn't even listen properly. "Nothing... At all" Peridot answered to Cat's Eye while laughing, so she didn't know if she was clear, but that didn't matter, she had a lot on her mind right now... Maybe someone was being used here.
A look of concern came across the yellow gem's face. Something was up, she could just tell. "...Are you sure?" she asked again. "I mean, you're laughing, and trying to get ahead of us." Noticing that the white beryl was changing directions, she tried to get the peridot to follow. She was not sure what was up, but she had to steer her back onto the right path. Both of them were under Radiant's leadership at the moment, and Cat's Eye felt obliged to follow him. She didn't know why; perhaps it was old habits. Regardless, if she knew anything, she knew the high-ranking gem would not be happy if they strayed away. She tried grabbing the green gem's arm to drag her towards him and the pearl. "Come on! We have to go!"
Quietly, the pearl followed the white beryl without saying much more. It was hauntingly similar to how she used to follow her owner back on Homeworld. She would not be lying if she said she missed it. Everything was familiar, and gemkind resided there. Here on Earth, everything was unfamiliar, especially now she was off of Mask Island. Anxiety grew inside of her. She had left the bubble containing her owner's shards back on the island. What would happen to it? She sincerely hoped no one would find it. Green Pearl had started to regret leaving the island. If one looked into her eye, they could see the guilt eating her from the inside out, despite her stoic face right now. If the remains of her emerald were lost, then it would be entirely her fault.
Radiant was about to open the door to the building when he heared the screaming demands of Cat's Eye directed at the Peridot. He weighed his options carefully. He never understood why things always needed to be so complicated. "Hey, you two, stop it and come back here!" He hoped that they would listen. Taking out the keys from his pockets, he opened the door and left room for Green Pearl to enter first. Holding thr door open, Radiant looked angered and annoyed at the two. Cat's Eye clearly wanted to help that Peridot, and Radiant didn't know what to think of it. But one thing wad certain, he was getting impatient.
When Cat's Eye dragged Peridot away, one of her Shoulder Spikes quickly shifted to attack, but when their eyes met, PR took over again for a while. "S-Sorry, I-I just don't want to hurt you guys..." Then Radiant called them, awakening Peridot's anger, the hate was starting to consume her, so she thought in another way before it happened. "...Just end with you will do"
Although PR's determination wasn't letting any bad happen to them. "I'd rather be shattered than hurt them!!!" PR moved the Shoulder Spikes to her own chest to destabilize her powers, but she did it recklessly and missed, poofing herself.
Her Gemstone fell right in front of Radiant, PR knew that it could happen, but she saw for years spalling of Gems, she couldn't afford any more of it.
The gem let out a squeak as she flinched at Radiant's demands. Nervousness crept into her. She did not want to be on his bad side, and with trying to get Peridot to come back, she could be risking seeing that side of him. "Come on," she whispered. "What's up with you lately?" She could not understand her sudden mood changes, but it seems that her intentions were not to harm anyone. Noticing that the spikes on her shoulder was aiming towards them, Cat's Eye took a few steps backward. Then, suddenly, she turned the weapon against herself, and she disappeared into smoke as it launched. The yellow gem gaped as the green gemstone hit the ground. That could have been her if it hit.
"Sorry, sorry," she apologized to the white beryl as she ran back towards the group. "I'll get this." She scooped up PR's gemstone, and she huddled back inside the building.

This Roleplay is a prequel to Steven Universe to an extent with some slight retconing and its own progression to the story that will turn out differently to how stuff plays out in the show. Thanks to the message by Rose Quartz several gems are rising up to protect Earth and have labelled themselves as the Crystal Gems. Others on earth are remaining aligned to Homeworld though despite the isolation of Earth from Homeworld
All gems on earth are still stranded, the communication hub is still offline and all the space warps are shattered, it has now been revealed that this is the work of Rose Quartz and her small group known as the Crystal gems. They have rebelled against Homeworld and have chosen to protect the Earth (Trapping themselves on Homeworld to keep the warps down).
Now both sides are fighting among themselves along with fighting against the 'Corruption' a virus is infecting many gems turning most of them into mindless monsters, but those with a stronger will seem to becoming something more sinister.
The Game has changed now. The question has finally been posed, are you against Homeworld or allied with them. Or do you have your own agenda that may or may not been assisted by the ‘Corruption’.
