The doors leading into the temple sliced open to allow a Black gem to strut out, his hands in his pocket and his lips pursed as he walked around the temple's exterior. He had spent some time reflecting inside his room for whatever reason; reflecting meaning taking a nap. Sleeping was one of those things humans really got right, because there were few things in the world that were as cool as dreaming. It had taken a while for the Black gem to get the hang of actually sleeping instead of just laying around and feeling like he was wasting time, but once his usual state of mind of being completely bored met the unusual state of his body being laying around just doing nothing, he quickly fell into deep sleep. Thinking about it made him want to just go back into his room for sleep, to be honest.
"No, no..." he muttered to himself, shaking his head, "Gotta do something productive with myself today; can't just lay around like a lazy butt." he commented as he moved towards the exit of the temple, observing the sand and water of the beach as he stepped outside. Seeing the water made him think of swimming, which ultimately made him think of Amber.
"Wonder what she usually does with her free time..." he asked out loud to himself, a thoughtful expression on his face.
The night air was cold, and the beach was quiet, save for Spinel, who was walking across it. A small, malicious smile crept across his face as he looked at the necklaces he held in his hand. "Hand made, crafted with passion." He said. He then looked to the note in his other hand, smiling as he remembered what it felt like to finally shed his peaceful masquerade.
Although he didn't crush the blue one in front of any other Gems, he did do it in front of a few humans. This was fine, he didn't need to fight anyone other than the blue guy, but it was still rather sad that he had to go an extra mile to let the Gems around here know that he was serious about his work. He also made sure that the Gems wouldn't be able to put this one back together, as two shards were not in the bunch. One around his neck and one at his home.
As he began going up the steps to the Crystal Temple, he noticed a black Gem walking down them as well. "Good evening." He said nonchalantly. "Care for a necklace? Made them with passion."
Carbonado cocked his head to the side as he saw another gem walk up the stairs; Taller than him by around 5 inches, the only reason the black gem could look down at him was his higher ground. He pursed his lips as the other gem held up a necklace. The smaller gem liked human clothing quite a lot, but he couldn't say he had ever understood the humans insistence on wearing jewelry; it made him feel extremely... weird, looking at those obviously mutilated gems hanging from the human's necks or fingers; Apparently, they used rings with fragmented diamonds to propose something to each other.
From his point of view, it was plain macabre. He didn't want to be rude, though. Shrugging at the taller gem, he spoke up.
"Uh, sure I guess. Where did you get one of those, anyways?" he said, motioning towards the gem fragments on the collar, "I was under the impression those were supposed to be rare on the human world." He wasn't too sure of how it worked, but apparently finding gems used for jewelry wasn't all that easy.
Spinel smiled and handed one of the necklaces to the black Gem.
"Where did you get one of those, anyways?" Spinel's smile grew. "I was under the impression those were supposed to be rare on the human world." "I'm glad you asked." Spinel stated. "They are rather rare around here, but I didn't get these from the Earth." Spinel began going up the stairs once more, looking over his shoulder and once again speaking in a nonchalant tone. "He said his name was Labra. Pretty much the only thing he told me before I..." He stomped his right foot loudly as he went up the stairs.
If all his dealings with others involved doing things like this, it might actually be fun for Spinel.
Carbonado stared blankly at the gem as it walked inside the temple, his gaze slowly moving towards the necklace he held on his palm. The necklace apparently made out of someone made Labra. Which meant it had hadn't been a gem, it had been a gem.
"Oh, so you killed someone." He said blandly.
"Eeeew!" He said as he dropped what was basically a chopped up corpse into the sand, shaking his hand a bit as if gore and blood had stained it. He then realized how ridiculous he was being. Dropping down the flight of stairs, he quickly picked up the necklace, glancing at it. Could he do anything about it? Maybe he could put him back together? He didn't have any healing powers, though... And he had yet to meet a gem with them. Pressing his lips into a thin line, he gave the necklace a grave look as he bubbled it, tapping the gray bubble and sending it into the burning room before turning to glance at the entrance of the temple.
So there were already other gems not only fighting, but killing each other. Had this been a Homeworld vs Earth gem altercation? If so, it begged the question. Was that gem a crystal gem or a Homeworld gem? Having been on both sides at this point, he knew better than to try and stereotype either of them. But he was pretty sure he had yet to meet someone quite as... that gem inside the temple.
'Well luckily Miss Amber isn't around?' He would have left to do his business, but he didn't know when Amber or Variscite would be returning to the temple; and he quite honestly didn't want either of them to find themselves having to deal with this strange person. Looking at the stairs, his butt plopped onto one of them, his back leaning on them.
Spinel made his way to the top of the steps, looking at the doors that lead to the inside of the temple.
"Oh, so you killed someone."
"Yup." Spinel entered the temple.
He had never been inside the temple before, this was his first time seeing it. It was rather nice, he had to admit. Good architecture and all, but he could only stay for so long. He layed the necklaces down in the middle of the room, propping the note up against them. He then left, admiring the architecture one last time.
As he went down the stairs, he noticed that the black Gem had already gotten rid of the necklace. Spinel didn't care, it just seemed that he would have gotten a different reaction from this. "Not like my craftsmanship?" He asked jokingly as he passed by the black Gem.
"Well, Unfortunately enough, I'm not all that much into macabre jewelry." He commented wryly as he scratched the back of his head. "I'm sure someone in there will enjoy it, though. All kinds of people inside the temple." All kinds of cool peeps like Amber and Variscite, and all kinds of wackos too. It was pretty much guarantied someone would like the present. He didn't understand why he was giving away the fragments of another gem, though.
"Are you doing this for some reason, though?" he asked curiously, resting against the stairs. "Because that's bound to disturb someone." Carbonado would have lied if he said he felt anything other than slight disgust at the gems, but he imagined someone inside the temple would likely find it entirely offensive.
"Well, Unfortunately enough, I'm not all that much into macabre jewelry." Spinel laughed. "I'm sure someone in there will enjoy it, though. All kinds of people inside the temple." This actually shocked Spinel. 'There're people in there who would actually enjoy that?' Spinel laughed again.
"Are you doing this for some reason, though? Because that's bound to disturb someone." Spinel turned to the oblivious Gem. "I did it to get my message across. Anyone who gets in my way will suffer the consequence. If it disturbs someone, let them know that if people don't get in my way, I won't need to deliver more jewelry. Any more questions?" Spinel looked around for a second, making sure no others were around to attack him. He believed he could take on this Gem if he needed to.
Carbonado cocked his head to the side. "Get... in the way?" he asked, looking visibly confused. "I don't think I've heard of anyone planing to get on anyone's way, other than on Homeworld gems, anyways." he shrugged, his elbows pressing against the stairs as he leaned on them. "Unless you are Homeworld gem coming here to make a statement or something, I don't think anyone will get his message. It just seems like a joke in really bad taste." Except, you know, for the fact that it was a very real corpse.
"So did this Labra stand in your way or something?" he said, looking curious more than anything. "Seems like a rather disproportionate retribution for blocking someone's path, but I guess I shouldn't expect people to react the way I would."
Spinel looked to the confused and, in Spinel's opinion, moronic Gem. "The petty conflicts between the Homeworld Gems and these Earth Gems are not what I'm making a statement about. You will know my game soon." Spinel chuckled upon the black Gem mentioning that this seemed like a joke in bad taste.
"So did this Labra stand in your way or something? Seems like a rather disproportionate retribution for blocking someone's path, but I guess I shouldn't expect people to react the way I would."
"You use big words despite being an ignoramus. It's not a joke, my friend. I killed him because I needed to convey a message. It's all in the little note I left with the necklaces. This Labra did nothing to me, but I needed something rather powerful to get my point across. Death does the job just fine. Anything else?"
The black gem simply cocked his head to the side. "The problem I see with this is the fact that you are warning a bunch of people who don't really know about you about your presence. So basically, you are revealing yourself to a bunch of gems who would have otherwise very likely never heard of you, and thus, not interfere with whatever you are planning to do." he shrugged, "Mind you, I still don't care enough to do anything; not my business by any means. But I'm pretty sure there's quite a few number of hero complexes in there, not to mention a few people with easily bruised egos and their own cases of megalomania." he shrugged at the other gem. "Honestly, all of this just looks like it will eventually be the reason there will actually be people interfering with your plans."
Spinel smiled "There wouldn't be any fun if there wasn't anyone trying to stop me. I look for a challenges, and I see this as being a simple one if nobody interferes. Everything I do has a purpose, sometimes it just doesn't have what others would see as a reasonable purpose. I have big plans, and doing them in the shadows and pretending to be a good guy is simply too dull. It would be much easier, but that's not something I would like."
Spinel found that the black Gem went from being weak-minded to very observant. "Sometimes, I cannot explain my own actions. If I did not do this, my future plans would become so boring that I would probably give up and go do something stupid. Today, I prevented myself from giving up later. Well, I've spent enough time here. Have a nice day." Spinel turned and walked down the beach once more, heading for the closest warp pad other than the one at the temple. He needed some sleep after today.
Carbonado rested his chin on his palm as he waved good bye to the other gem, an amused smile on his face. So the dude had killed someone, came to the temple, set the pieces in order to warn people about chasing after him, hoping they would just take it as incentive to actually go after him? Sure, that seemed legit enough, he could dig that. The gem slowly stood up, raising his arms above his head and yawning a bit. Somehow, that conversation had drained away at his energy.
He wondered what could have happened if it had been Amber or Variscite, heck, even Fuscite who had met that peculiar gem. He hoped they didn't think less of him for his less than stellar reaction at holding the equivalent of a chopped up corpse turned necklace.
"I will see their reaction soon enough." he commented as he glanced at the Necklace's inside the building. Pursing his lips, he hoped everyone remembered to bubble those together; they needed all the pieces to put back that gem, after all.

This Roleplay is a prequel to Steven Universe to an extent with some slight retconing and its own progression to the story that will turn out differently to how stuff plays out in the show. Thanks to the message by Rose Quartz several gems are rising up to protect Earth and have labelled themselves as the Crystal Gems. Others on earth are remaining aligned to Homeworld though despite the isolation of Earth from Homeworld
All gems on earth are still stranded, the communication hub is still offline and all the space warps are shattered, it has now been revealed that this is the work of Rose Quartz and her small group known as the Crystal gems. They have rebelled against Homeworld and have chosen to protect the Earth (Trapping themselves on Homeworld to keep the warps down).
Now both sides are fighting among themselves along with fighting against the 'Corruption' a virus is infecting many gems turning most of them into mindless monsters, but those with a stronger will seem to becoming something more sinister.
The Game has changed now. The question has finally been posed, are you against Homeworld or allied with them. Or do you have your own agenda that may or may not been assisted by the ‘Corruption’. Regardless the seeds have been placed down and although it is only the beginning the fight for or against Earth and the corruption has begun. The choice is yours for how it is shaped on the Original Steven Universe Roleplay Site.

*Garnet, Pearl and Rose are assumed capture on Homeworld
*Garnet,Pearl and Rose broke the space warps to delay Homeworld
*Thanks to Roses Message gems now know what the Kindergarten was used for
