Agate was sitting at the counter of a make-shift bar in the old warehouse that the gem-human party had been housed in. He was still coming off the effects of a few too many bottles of hard liquor, head swimming like an unlucky sailor. Around him he recognized a few familiar gems, namely Carbide who was nearby and had been helping him stay seated. In fact he had the vague impression he had been face down and mostly unconscious beforehand. He looked up and took stock of the situation, noting the party seemed to still be going well. He winced, the sound coming from the packed dance floor and DJ felt as if it was cracking his skull open.
Agate stood up, albeit a little awkwardly, and mumbled "I'm t-taking a walk..." he wasn't sure if Carbide had even heard him but he still made his bumbling way to the building's many exits. After making his way through the crowd he found a hole in the wall of the warehouse and went till he was mostly out of ear shot. He sighed and closed his eyes, swiftly falling onto the floor and passing out.

Obsidian being disguised due from her machine she was wearing as Emerald, she managed to catch what the small blue gem had said and from the corner to her eye, she saw him "stumble" his way to the exist of this building. "What's wrong with that gem? is he malfunctioning? he could barely talk, not to mention his move-" thought Obsidian before an idea popped inside her twisted mind, a gem that couldn't talk nor walk? It's like easy pickings! She conjured a plan right on the spot. "If i were to go straight to him now, that would catch some attention, no i have to play this right.. ""Emerald" swayed away from the group of gems, "dancing" her way into the party crowd, moving her hips side to side, using her fusion dancing that she'd learned from a particular Heliotrope to give a "convincing" dance, making her way AROUND where the small blue gem is, taking the long route. "Now the next thing i have to do is this~" She threw her hands up in the air, as she shook her rump, getting down on the floor as she gave a sly smile and mischievous eyes to whoever was watching. She flicked her fingers on her data-pad, which was luckily disguised as a ornament on "Emerald", she commanded her two Automatons to lower themselves and give off a projection of "Agate" as a replacement for the real one with that done, she continued "dancing" her way to her prey.

O had already pretty much left the party at this point... the liquid he was enjoying seemed to change... what ever the bartender was giving to him had turned more from hard liquor and into beer, which Opalite had very little enjoyment from. The taste had switched so he grew board and left the bar. Having no issue as he simply rift walked from the group of humans and gem, awaiting outside a rather large whole that was being used as a way into, and out from the party. He was leaning up onto the wall while in his rift dimension, when he heard the sound of a smol gem that he knew.
Of course not jumping out just yet... where would the fun be in just jumping out so quickly?! He knew that this pebble was far from harm while he was present. He stifled a chuckle as he watched Agate plop back onto the ground, getting ready to start walking towards his little pal when.... a gem he had never seen before was... dancing out from the party? Maybe this gem had drank to much of this human liquid and was causing them to act odd? It wasn't just that... something about this gem was giving him a bad feeling. Never to be one who would turn away from a feeling, he began to slowly pace behind this other gem, "This could be quite entertaining!" He thought to himself as he approached with this new gem as she grew closer to Agate.

Carbide weaves and bobs her way back through the crowd from a table that held cups of ice water back to where she had left Agate a few moments earlier. She had not, however, heard him pipe up and exclaim that he wished to go off on a a little stroll on his own, it was far too loud for that, and the lil blue gem was probably speaking too garbled and quietly anyway. Not that it mattered for the moment, as sitting in Agate's previous space, was a remarkably true to life hologram, complete with the barely conscious demeanor of the authentic drunken Agate.
She walked up to the hologram and attempted to hand it a glass of water only to find the vessel pass right through its hand and drop to the floor, spilling ice water at her feet, it was then that the scout clued in and locked onto one of the small hologram emitting drones with her gaze, and began to proverbially 'see red'. A nearby brick is soon hurled at the small hovering drone, sending it, in a pile of crushed gem tech wreckage to the ground, after being smashed up against the warehouse wall by the improvised projectile. "Okay, just what is going on around here? A messed up gem wandering off I can conceive of, but what is all this hologram decoy malarkey ?! I'm not sure who's going to be in more trouble when I find em, that lil blue trouble maker, or whoever seemed to think it was necessary to camouflage his absence with a cheap holo trick!" With that, the scout sets off through the crowd, towards an exit in the building, to check about the perimeter.
Agate layed there in the grass outside, face down and snoring up a storm. It was odd that such a small gem could make such a noise, but he was out in a deeper sleep than he had ever had. Indeed it'd take nothing short of a small apocalypse to wake him in his current state. In fact in his unconscious state he had no clue the disguised Obsidian was making her way towards his sleeping form, nor that Opalite was hot on her heels. Under his snoring breath one close by might make out the occasional incoherent blurb, some nonsense about monsters made from human pastries charging him in some unknown arena. It was obvious he wouldn't be up any time soon.

She twirled around as part of her dancing, getting a glance of her situation without using her Data-Pad as often she can, staying true to her act. She managed to spot the dapper gem (Opalite) walking slowly to her and not only that, her Data-pad gave off a small noise due to on of her automatons being destroyed. "You've got to be kidding me" she hissed, cursing that gem to follow her and that one of the gems managed to spot her drones. She eyed around, while dancing of course and spotted Carbide heading outside of the building "Perfect, I'll have to take a different approach~" The ever so smart Obsidian hatched another plan right on the spot, eager to capture that defenseless gem. She stopped in her tracks, followed by more of her "dancing" and once again, she gave off the impression that she was waving her hands majestically in part of her rountine dance but in reality she was distracting whoever was viewing her body she flicked more command codes to her Data-Pad, ordering more Automatons to assist her in this mission.
She had ordered five more automatons, two which would head to the outside through the forest, activating their hologram protocol and place them within the small forest edge where the building was just directly in front off, One of the Automatons spotted Carbide, so the plan begins for them. They purposely rustled the bushes ahead of Carbide view, trying to give off an impression that the person who had set up the Automaton within the party is trying to escape, As she would make her way to the bush, One Automaton activates their Hologram, rising from the bush was a real-life authentic Onyx (hologram), he looked at Carbide and ran away from her, meanwhile the second drone flew away from the action, trying to record Carbide progress, sending live-feed to Obsidian Data-pad.
The three other Automatons made it to the building, entering from the building entrance that wasn't being flooded with Humans, the circular Automatons scanned the room and calculated their best possible hidden route. Now this is where Obsidian enters the fray, "Emerald" turned around, making her way toward the Opalite gem, she held her hand out as a gesture to Wanna Dance with me? This of course was a distraction for her Automaton's to get through, if the Dapper Gem (Opalite) would be so kindly to take up on her offer to dance.

Opalite had not really taken notice of what Carbide was doing... or any other gem for that fact. While he had never seen this gem before... something about how she moved seemed oddly similar to a red gem he knew of. All that he wanted to know... was why this Emerald was moving towards the young pebble Agate. He continued to almost waltz behind the unknown gem. It wasn't until she turned to lock eyes with him and gesture him towards her as if she was asking him to dance, while Opalite was never one to turn down a shot at showing off..
"Oh-hohohoho! Why little Emerald! I fear I might be a bit too.... advanced for you! ... BUT!" He spoke with a single pointer finger pointing up towards the sky before vanishing from site into his rift plane, only to appear out from it once more directly in front of this new gem. His giant, brilliant smile plastered across his dashing face as always. "I guess I could take it down a notch, hm!?" As he wrapped one arm around her and spinning a few times before his body started to slowly sway to the beat. He figured if he stayed so close to this gem... what could she do to the young Agate?

Carbide spots the figure and stomped her way over to confront the individual but soon the mystery gem seemed to take off through the forest leading her on a chase through the twigs and bushes and trees that formed what passed for a clump of forest perhaps a few hundred square yards adjacent to the warehouse building before disappearing, leaving her alone on the forest... then.. another rustling not far off.. Normally she would have more of a sense of tact and stealth about her but perhaps all the goings on of the evening wore down her sense of tactical precision.
As she makes her way, a nearby rustling of the undergrowth draws her attention, unaware that it was one of Obsodians little drones, the sounds of the nearby party masking any sounds her tech had been making. The yards wore on and soon Carbide realized there was something was strange. She heard various other sounds in the forest, presumably from the native creatures, but they would all move off rapidly whenever she approached. The main source of the rustling she had been chasing, always seemed just a few yards ahead of her.
It was time to find out for real..the scout draws in a large breath and magically charges her throat and let's out a shout, steeped in angry reverb, sounding like a blend of girl and wild cat, that cuts through the forest, scattering the wildlife and probably easily reaching the revelers back st the party, and just might overload audio sensors in the vicinity too.... "RRRAGHH!!!"
The shout lasted only a moment but probably cracked 300 decibels, but as the forest returned to silence, that rustling a few meters ahead remained constant....no earth creature, human or gem would be holding still after that. It had to be another decoy, a cheap trick!
"Stupid! Stupid! Stupid!" ..the scout berates herself as she pulls a hard 180 and takes off back in the direction she came..
Agate stirred slightly as he heard a disturbance in the distance, some sort of rustling in the bushes. As well he saw a flash of what seemed to be Carbide rushing off in that direction. It clicked in his head that she could be in danger and might need help, and pulled himself up off the ground. He turned towards the noise, however his head was still spinning. Indeed he ended up facing the wrong direction, rushing forward (at a rather slow pace) to an entirely different part of the woods.
He stumbled past bushes and the occasional fallen tree, moving in what he thought was the direction of Carbide. He paused as he saw something in the distance, a little unclear what the speck was in his blurred vision, "Carbd..." Mumbling, he moved ahead to chase whatever he had seen. Minutes later, after crossing some particularly dense bushes, he came across what appeared to be some odd floating device. Before he could question anything it moved ahead, keeping just within eyesight at all times. Confused, but not wanting to lose whatever it was, Agate rushed after it deeper into the forest, and away from the other gems.

The floating object that Agate had followed was Obsidian Automaton's, With Agate following them, their radar detected the small blue gem, A unrecorded gem that was following them. The Automaton immediately proceeded one of the many protocol they were programmed with.
They proceeded to shock the living heck out of Agate.
Meanwhile "Emerald" proceeded to dance with the dapper gem, swaying her hips to the beat as well, she placed her hands on the dapper gem shoulders, flashing him a innocent smile. she led him to the middle of the building, dancing along the way. She began to dance around Mr. O, starting off like most normal dances would. "Emerald" soon placed her right hand on Opalite sides, letting him begin the dance how he wants to.

Mr. O was having a hard time placing why this gem seemed like someone he knew... it was just the way she moved. Seemed very much like a blood gem he knew, he was swinging his own hips a bit in rotation with this other gems. Her smile only drew his own brilliant smile, his glowing white eyes seemed locked with hers but... having no pupils it was rather hard to pin down what he was really looking at.
With her hand over his slender shoulders he spins her around, drawing her in very close before spinning once more and dipping her down in time for him to get a glance of Agate wondering off. He didn't see if anything was guiding him away or anything just that the smol gem had gotten up. Of course only wanting to keep this gem safe, (So very odd for him..) and responding quickly he lets go of this gem dropping her as he vanishes in a quick blue blur, once shifted away from this gem he began to slowly waltz after Agate. What in his lovely name could this tiny gem be doing?

Branches and leaves and brambles whipped past Carbide's field of view as she made good time back in the direction she came. She was rather glad she kept her visor as a permanent part o her appearance, because twigs in the eye was definitely one of her least favorite things. She thought she might still be going in the entirely wrong direction, when she hears a sound similar to electricity arcing up what the humans called a Jacobs Ladder.
She knew it had to be the work of the same little annoying drones that she had been chasing around all evening. as she ran the sounds got louder and she began to see flashes of light through the trees, guiding her way to where she finds Agate lying prone on the ground getting the 12 Volt treatment from this little flying metallic melon or whatever it is.
"Oh that is IT! Nobody shocks my Blueberry!" Carbide dashes up and grabs the orb like probe out of the air, causing the electric discharge to arc all over her body, it wasn't entirely pleasant but her innate energy heat shielding seemed to take the edge off and her body conducted most of it into the ground. She turns the probe robonid over, spying what seems to be the machines main camera or optic sensor and holds it out at arms length and growls into the lens..."Hey, whoever is on the other end of this thing.. this is gonna be YOU!" To the viewer on the other end of the recorded data stream, they would see Carbide's transparent armor visor and face suddenly rush up to the camera and then a hard metallic crunch and then static, as the heavy scout had held the probe out at arms length, then crushed it against her forehead as if she were some human NASCAR fanatic with an aluminum beverage container!
With that taken care of, she tosses the flattened scrap aside and turns to go check on Agate..
Agate approached the odd floating drone, more than a little confused. He reached out his hand towards it, perhaps to examine it, only to be greeted by a painful shock. He was entirely caught off guard, jumping backwards from the initial shock only to be followed by the drone. The pain was overwhelming, he didn't realize it but he had fallen to the ground and had curled into a fetal position. His senses were overwhelmed, he could feel strain on his form like nothing he had felt before. It was as if his body was aching, and he could feel pressure on his gem core. It was almost as if-
Suddenly the feeling stopped, although the damage was still there. He could vaguely understand the source of the attack had stopped, but everything else was blurred from his senses. He laid there in a heap, unmoving but still whole. For all intents and purposes he was unconscious, scorch marks covering parts of him.

Obsidian was dropped the ground, thanks to the dapper gem. "So much for a dapper gem.." she muttered, getting up from the ground, patting her outfit for dust. " Well now that he's away i can now use this opportunity to-" beeping from Obsidian datapad had cut her off, she quickly looked at her datapad, showing her Automaton's being destroyed not only that, the very same Carbide that had left the building was looking straight at her. "Hey, whoever is on the other end of this thing.. this is gonna be YOU!"
Did she just mocked me? That bastard! How dare you mock me, Obsidian, the great mad scientist! Obsidian raged in her mind, smashing her fingers on her datapad, ordering more automatons to "secretly" find their way towards Carbide, at this point Obsidian sent half of her remaining automatons to capture agate, she did not care this was foolish, she wanted revenge for Carbide's mockery. "Emerald" makes her way toward the back entrance of the building, exiting and avoiding all possible routes that meet up with the gems. "I'll just head back to my ships and proceed to prepare for the worst.."
More than a dozen of automatons bee-lined their way towards carbide at such speed. The automatons appeared in many variants from scout to bombers, the automatons rushed within the forest, avoiding Opalite view of the sky. With the darkness of the night mixed in with the trees and bushes of the forest, they could come from any direction to where Carbide was. Bombers lunged themselves toward Carbide feet or body, hoping for a chance to make Carbide fall and drop Agate, while the other automatons proceeded to swarm the carbide and shock her with maximum output.

This whole situation was starting to 'urk Mr. O and not in a good way... Agate seemed still quite out of it. He was stumbling after something, and once Opalite drew in close enough he caught a glimpse of a semi-familiar looking droid. With the time it had taken O to realize this Agate had already been shocked and brought down to the ground, "..." He was looking around quickly, he wanted to see if the "puppeteer" of these bots was near by.
"Oh that is IT! Nobody shocks my Blueberry!"
"Hmm?! I know that roar..." He mumbles to himself softly as he stood in the safety of his rift, watching the events unfold before him. He had a pretty good idea who was behind these droids, he also knew this Gem had more then a single ship so had to have more then a few more droids on their way. Even more so as Carbide taunted her threw the droid. He waited... for the perfect moment to show himself! It was quite the hard task for him to keep himself under control in this situation.
He didn't have to wait for too long...
A nice sized group of drones emerged from around Carbide and Agate, Mr. O while still in the rift dimension started sprinting towards the two. Almost leaping out from the rift, no cane and almost a blur himself, O scoops up Carbide with one hand and spinning quickly only to stop kneeling down before Agate. Looking at a drone with his bright white eyes and ever pressing smile, he nods his head hoping the gem on the other side see's this. Quicker then a blink the small group vanished from sight in a blue blur.
Appearing back in the whirling vortex of the rift dimension, the drones still around them just unable for them to interact with the group or the group from interacting with them in anyway. Still holding Carbide by the waste with one arm while kneeling down, his other hand gripping Agates shoulder. He turns his head to the gem in his arm and looking at her deeply for a moment... even without pupils one could tell he was looking in her inky black eyes before taking an unneeded breath and saying...
"Good thing your bottom is so heavy! Good counter-balance dear! Oh-hohoho!"
Of course.... he only meant the best it was just.... how he worked...

This Roleplay is a prequel to Steven Universe to an extent with some slight retconing and its own progression to the story that will turn out differently to how stuff plays out in the show. Thanks to the message by Rose Quartz several gems are rising up to protect Earth and have labelled themselves as the Crystal Gems. Others on earth are remaining aligned to Homeworld though despite the isolation of Earth from Homeworld
All gems on earth are still stranded, the communication hub is still offline and all the space warps are shattered, it has now been revealed that this is the work of Rose Quartz and her small group known as the Crystal gems. They have rebelled against Homeworld and have chosen to protect the Earth (Trapping themselves on Homeworld to keep the warps down).
Now both sides are fighting among themselves along with fighting against the 'Corruption' a virus is infecting many gems turning most of them into mindless monsters, but those with a stronger will seem to becoming something more sinister.
The Game has changed now. The question has finally been posed, are you against Homeworld or allied with them. Or do you have your own agenda that may or may not been assisted by the ‘Corruption’. Regardless the seeds have been placed down and although it is only the beginning the fight for or against Earth and the corruption has begun. The choice is yours for how it is shaped on the Original Steven Universe Roleplay Site.
Orginal Opening Plot Here Thread That Changed Everything
Differances Between the Roleplay and the Show
*Thanks to Rose Quartz' message the Gems on Earth are entirely aware that the Homeworld Gems intend to wipe out the human race.
*The "corruption"'s Origin is still unknown, some suspect it was a viral infection, other claim it was a Diamond experiment gone awry and other suspect the organics were behind it. Regardless no one seem to have a proper answer about what it was and why its only isolated to Earth
*Garnet, Pearl and Rose are assumed capture on Homeworld
*Garnet,Pearl and Rose broke the space warps to delay Homeworld
*Thanks to Roses Message gems now know what the Kindergarten was used for
