A long farewell (Closed Morion, Sulfur, and several others)

[Sulfur]

Sulfur nodded as Morion suggested letting him keep Howlite.

"Yes, Smoky Quartz, he will be my apprentice and I will train him well. I don't know how this would benefit me, but I will do my best to keep him from harms way..."

As Morion mentioned the human peridots Sulfur's eyes widened. He didn't comment however, he simply remained silent to hear Morion's explanation of the collar.

"Yes I appreciate it, if he shows any sign of treachery I will utilize it without hesitation."

When Morion mentioned confiscating the ship sulfur dropped onto his feet from the air. He had remembered Howlite's little 'collection'.

"About the ship, Howlite has some personal belongings inside of it they are very dear to him, I will clear them out and bring the ship to you!"

Sulfur raised an eyebrow at his comments on Obsidian.

"I suppose that I will have to do so then! I have in fact met her..." He said, recalling his encounters with Carbide. He was not fond of the gem, but Morion had recommended her. "I will bring Howlite and we will dominate that pathetic creature!"

Sulfur then chuckled a bit as Morion mentioned reviving the Sulfur gem species.

"I do appreciate the gesture, but I will not need this new planet for a while, at least until the rebellion is defeated. Maybe we could produce a second sulfur to support our cause? At any rate I want to stay here, it is much more interesting here and I am going to be a great asset against the rebellion. I do believe that my gifts prove this." Sulfur said nodding. "I didn't expect much more of a reward than your cooperation, and perhaps the answer to this question... how would a gem of my talents earn human currency? I want to build a castle you see, my old manor is a bit... old fashioned."

[Morion]

"As you wish..."

The Smoky Quartz nodded

"Clear out that ship... I don't want to rob your apprentice of his belongings. It will be hard for him to accept the new order of things even without the loss of his personal stuffs. Let's not make his life harder than it necesarry."

The assassin sipped from his glass

"Carbide is an ally. But not a friend. But at the moment she is the pet of Her Majesty's, White Diamond's Grand Inquisitor, his excellency, the exalted Opalite. So we have to tolerate her...."

Morion nodded

"Don't make any long term plans Sulfur! Pink Diamond forces already claimed the Moon and the Moonbase and several Hand ships protecting it, not to mention the other Gem ships... it is just a mater of time, when She will arrive with the rest of Her forces to reclaim Her Planet... I don't think you will have enough time to build a castle. There are several ruins around waiting to be claimed...?

He reminded Sulfur

"Now, I think you have work to do and an apprentice to train... and I have two bubbled Gem. It was a pleasure to meet you again"

[Sulfur]

Sulfur chuckled in joy as Morion refused to call Carbide a friend. He was glad that they shared a mutual hatred for the gem, however intense they were.

"She is quite intolerable..."

Sulfur gave Morion a quizzical look.

"Enough Ruins? Well Smoky Quartz I can assure you that there are enough deserted wastelands, a plentiful amount. Terrain so barren that not even gems can grow on it, about thirty percent of this planet is worthless wasteland. This land however, I value the most."

Sulfur grinned at Morion.

"No the pleasure was mine... Smoky Quartz... and yes, in three days' time I will return. Also, I hope your apprentice knows not to attempt a fire attack on me... this suit is pricey, I don't want it to be burnt to cinders."

A lie, he had stolen the suit. He waved briefly before stepping back into the elevator.

[Morion]

The Smoky Quartz jus nodded and watched his loyal Surfur as he left
Then walked to the bubbled Pearl

"Stupid little Pearl..."

He murmured

"So brave... so naive... nothing more, nothing less than a Pearl."

Morion popped the Bubble then stepped back and waited, watched the Gem as he reformed

"Petting scorpions with a compassionate hand only gets you a sting...."

The smoky Quartz murmured, while rested on his cane

"Welcome back my dear little Pearl... did you miss me?"

The Assassin watched the little Pearl
Their last meeting was... nice. he spared the Pearl beacasue of his young apprentice, Fire Opal
But Chip wasn't there now
Then again, the Smoky Quartz saw some potential in this Pearl, enough potential to give him another chance

[Light]

Light started thinking that he will never escape this bubble, that he will spend time here forever. He also thought that maybe he is arleady shattered and that is how it looks like to be dead. However someone destroyed his prison and he was finnaly able to regenerate. Just to make hw gems mad he regenerated with bigger star on his belt and added some stars on his boots. He spotted Morion, if he had heart it would probably be gone right now. "It is you!!!!"Pearl had no idea what to do.


Than he saw gem in a bubble. It was his old friend Para, gem that with Flurry made him join CG. She gave him a job, since than Light was coming to the forge to help her with creating weapons. "Para?! What happened to you?!" Light ignored what Quartz was talking and just poped her bubble. Than he grabed gem and summoned his weapon. He also started approaching the door with scared look. "What do you want from us?!"

[Morion]

The Smoky Quartz watched calmly the reforming Light Mocha Pearl and then his actions
Morion didn't moved or stoped the brave little Pearl when he popped the Bubble with the other Gem, and grabbed Para's gemstone
The weapon was a bit cute tho'

"I belive your friend, "Para" was ambushed and was captured my Sulfur. Or one of Sulfur's servants... like you my dear little Pearl."

Morion explained

"Funny, you are always ends up in my office in a Bubble Light Mocha Pearl... isn't it? But I guess for you this is just a painfull reminder how easy prey you are. Don't be ashamed! You are a Pearl...

Just a Pearl...^^

"Don't bother with the door, it is locked... but even if you could open it, before the door there is two Human Quartz... Solders with nasty weapons. I have trained them personally, how to crack, shatter or poof Gems, depending of the order. At the moment, their orders are pretty clear about you. So if I would you, I would stop right there..."

Morion walked to his chair

"Now, about yor question, little Crystal Gem... shattering you two would be the best. But as I said earlier, when we last met, the War is over. The Rebellion failed. And even when the Rebels were... okay, I don't know if the rebels ever had any plans or organized leadership, I admit... so, even the "glory day of the Rebellion" the Crystal Gems were nothing more than a Joke. But now, Her Majesty's, Pink Diamond's forces are on the Moon and She is on Her way to reclaim Her Planet. And while She is a gentle Goddes... I doubt she will be mercyful with the Rebels. So, the War is techically over, and while Homeworld have a little Armada around the Moon, the Rebels are basically, thanks to Rose Quartz, trapped on the Planet. Did you remember my toughts about the planetary or any kind of deffensive shileds and weaponry that the Rebels faild to give Earth? You know, the Planet the Rebels doomed..."

Morion nodded

"So.. dismiss your weapon.. and that stupid star-sign... by the way, did you even know what the Star represents in your uniform my Pearl? I am a bit curious..."

He admited

"SO! Dismiss your weapon, and let that poor Gem regenerate! Now sit! After she reformed, we will talk, like mature Gems. About the future.

[Light]

Light now was not only scared and nervous but also mad. He decided not to comment any of his stupid words because there was no change he would win with him. Well... except that moment when he called him little "I am not little! Maybe other Pearls are a little higher than me but that doesn't mean anything!" 

There was a chair, he sit on it still holding Para. He placed his weapon on the ground, if he wanted to take it he could just grab it. Itwas not far away. "Star represent us breaking away from the Diamond Triarchy. Your mercyful Goddes that is not mine Goddes. Also... that is not her planed and Pink Diamond would destroy it, she is still going to do this. Now it is time for me to ask a questions, do you even know what does "mercyful" mean?  

[Forge Master Para]

Oh no... how could she let this happen to herself. An important member in the rebellion such as herself should have been much more careful, without her the rebellion would be grossly under powered when facing off against Homeworld was things kicked off. And yet here she was, berating herself while resting within her cores. A plan was being made on how to improve their defenses already, all sorts of (somewhat) doable traps and security measures that would be put in place as soon as she could get back. Of course, she never once thought about the possibility that she might be shattered or sent back to Homeworld for punishment. If such a thing happened it would be beyond unpleasant.

Eventually she realized her cores were no longer bubbled, taking her a long moment to actually figure this out hence her delayed regeneration. Both gems floated up out of Light's hands, taking place a short ways from one another in place of her palms before a glow silhouette began forming. When Para finished forming she dropped to the ground, frozen for a moment before manically taking in her surroundings. Noticably there was a change to her form, a plan that she had in her mind since being poofed. On her chest and back she sported a diamond insignia with a distinct focus on Blue Diamond's symbol.

As she took a glance around the room she took note of who was inside, pleased Sulfur was no longer present. Had he been she would have simply thrown herself to her knees, sucked up her pride, and swore she was returning to Homeworld's service. With him gone... was that Light? With her back to Morion she stared down at Light sort of dumbstruck. What were the odds that they'd both be captured at the same time and interrogated together. Thinking quickly she flashed a wink at him, trying to let him in on the plan, while keeping her back towards Morion so that he'd hopefully be oblivious.

Mustering up all her composure she turned around to face Morion, "What in all of the hairbrained schemes enacted on this dirt ball of a planet infested with defective abominations is all of this!" Despite being scared out of her wits, Para managed as usual to lie through her teeth like a professional. She pointed an accusing finger at Morion, "I presume you are the quartz mentioned by that brute of an agent? I would like to know the meaning of this, Blue Diamond would be very unpleased if I were harmed in any way." Oh dear please work...

[Morion]

"Yes My Pearl, I know the meaning of that word... and She IS mercyfull... I am NOT. Pity is not a virtue. To pause when causing my enemy pain is weakness. He would not do so for me, and if he did, I would smite him for his stupidity..."

The reforming Gem could hear these words too
The Smoky Quartz rested on his cane, and watched the two Gems with a bit amusement

"First things first. I'm afraid we haven't had the pleasure to meet before... let me intorduce myself! I am a Smoky Quartz, from the Morion variant - Facet-7F2R Cut-8YQ; Her Majesty's Blue Diamond's loyal servant, In the past fifteen millenia, I was, and I AM her eye... I am her Wrath! Currently lended for a few missions to Her Majesty, White Diamond... you can say, I'm a licensed hunter, assassin of our Matriarchs"

Morion bowed his head a little with a Diamond salute

"...and I am now the Gem Lord and protector of Empire City. Welcome to my Domain little Crystal Gems..."

He nodded

"You are a Padparadscha, am I right? My Sulfur who captured you two reported you are a Crystal Gem, and so far he did a good job hunting your kind, so I am willing to belive him. But don't be afraid Padparadscha... me and My Pearl were talking about the future, the current situation. The Rebelion is over. But I guess you already know that... and this is why you tried to switch sides. Or tried to fool me. Actually it doesn't matter... please, take a seat! You are my guest. For the moment. And I hope that stays this way... since the War is over and the Rebelion failed, I think there is no reason to shatter you two... unless you give me a reason that is. So please... be civilized, and lets talk! About the future. I want to offer you... actually you two, salvation. A chance to live.

[Light]

Light saw Para reforming, it has bee a long time since he saw her. He was going to ask how he feel, is everything okay but Para started acting as a loyalist. Pearl made a face like he was going to say "Whaaaat?". He wasn't sure if this plan will work, he arleady showed this Quartz that he is not going to change side. Also Smoky could hear how worried Light was about his friend. Why would loyalist be friend with a Crystal Gem?

Light just didn't do anything, he was siting there waiting what will happen. Sadly her plan failed and Morion wanted her to sit. Gem also used again worlds that were making Light upset "My Pearl". He just couldn't ignore this. "I am not your Pearl..."

[Forge Master Para]

Para's accusing finger sloooooowly began to retract as she began to deflate, her look of anger becoming much more full of dread. Still, she was not one to be uncomposed. She drew herself up, "I am sorry for my outburst, I did not think I was among such civil company. As well, I should not be surprised you know so much of me..." She walked over at down next to Light, trying to look as confident as she could despite being a prisoner. "Hello Light, thank you for your attempt. It is sad to see you in such a similar fate." Her attention returned to Morion, acting much more dignified than her previous rant, "Despite the circumstances, I will call this a pleasure. I would normally suspect a gem such as myself would be shattered without a chance to defend themselves. So for that much I..." She had to swallow her pride, "thank you. Now, please speak. I am genuinely curious about your motives."

[Morion]

"The feeling is mutual Padparadscha. And dear Light Mocha Pearl, if you are truly still a Rebel as you claim, please don't dissapoint me and at least pretend you have some survival instinct! Not to mention, as My Pearl, you would have a chance to spy on the Homewolrd activites and report back and so on... but I guess your pride is your biggest weakness. But it is possible, you are just afraid... experiencing the freedom in my servitude would shatter your made up world"

Morion leanded back

"Now, were were we? Ah yes! As I was saying Padparadscha, I was always curious about the Crystal Gems motives... and goals. Please listen in silence!"

The Smoky Quartz asked and sipped from his drink

"This whole thing started with Rose Quartz... am I right? We all know what happened! Kindergartens sabotaged, unborn Gems died, Loyal Gems shattered... facilites were destroyed, the hard work of innocent Gems along their lifes were lost thanks to the series of sabotages... the Communciation Hub went silent and the the Galaxy Warp went offline. Then she sent a message after a few years: fight and protect the planet, and she promised that all those who fight for Earth will no longer be shackled by their caste, but instead will be united under one name, the ‘Crystal Gems’ and marked with a star of the sky above." Empty promises. False hope.

He nodded

"And after all these events... the Crystal Gems did nothing. Rose Quartz doomed the planet and robbed the Rebels of the chance to choose and leave the planet, to be truly free. Actually the Crystal Gems traded the Diamonds for a Rose Quartz. So she doomed the planet, its inhabitants and you... and deprived you fo the chance to choose and leave. But expected from you to defend Earth... without any support against a technologically superior, hyperadvanced, intergalactic Empire of the Gems. Earth and Humanity is not advanced enough to even leave their solar system... yet, Rose Quartz expected from the Crystal Gems to 1, defeat the Loyal Gems on Earth 2, defend Earth from the Gem Empire."

Morion leanded back

"So here we are, more than a year after her message. And the Rebels did nothing. Before I claimed Empire City as my Domain the Humans tried to ignore us, hoping everything will be okay. But nothing was okay. They were dragged in a war by Rose Quartz... and the Corrupted Gem monsters prayed on Humans... sure one or two Crystal Gems tried to hunt them, but actually, Humanity suffered like it did never before. The Crystal Gems did nothing to protect them from the monsters or to teach them or prepare them how to defend themselves from the Wrath of the Diamonds. Please correct me if I am wrong. I think I was the only one, who clamined a Human city and openly defended it, trained humans how to fight and gave them technology. Now Empire City is a safe haven. And most importantly.... the War is over. The Rebellion is technically failed. Tell me Padparadscha, did you looked up to the sky lately? Or the Crystal Gem leaders, if you guys have any, kept you in the dark...? Like the humans...? Not long ago, few months ago actually, Gem ships started to arrive. First a scout. Then Her Majesty, Pink Diamond's Herald... the Fusion Gaspeite. She annunaced, Homworld is coming. And now, Pink Diamond's fleet is around the Moon, Hand ships, Roaming Eyes... just use a telescope, and her forces claimed the Moonbase. And She is on Her way to reclaim Her Planet Padparadscha. Pink Diamond."

Morion sipped from the drink

"As I said to Pearl here, She is a gentle Goddesss... the fact Her forces is up there, but we are still talking is the best sign, she want to end this as peacfully as possible. She gave us Time Padparadscha, Pearl. Time for the Rebels to realize... it is over. A chance to return to us. Look at you. You already changed back your uniform... while Pearl here porudly wearing his star sign. But this is the only reason and the confession of the captured Crystal Gems, why I know, He is a Rebel. Sure, there will be punsihment. Retribution. Several Gems turned against Homeworld... but most of them did it only because confusion or fear. How many TRUE Crystal Gems out there? Is there even one?"

The Smoky Quartz asked

"Light Mocha Pearl... Padparadscha.... why did you rebelled? Why did you became a Crystal Gem and what did you do for Earth and Humanity? Or just tried to enjoy your "freedom"? I don't know... I don't care. Now I offer you the chance to live. The Rebels will be shattered... or will be used as power sources for eternity. When Pink Diamond arrives with her Arm Mothership... and the rest of her fleet, she will look at the planet... and well it is up to you what she will see! A light Mocha Pearl wearing a Star sign, a Rebel, ready to die for his misguided principles, the victim of Rose Quartz... or a Padparadscha, wearing a Diamond insignia, who realized this was a mistake, but not to late to come home and live?

[Light]

Pearl was listening to Smoky's worlds. He was good at manipulating. Light tried to have an open mind and think. Something that Pearl isn't suppose to do. He saw what HW is able to do and his friends showed him that life can be a good experience. He was loyal to them. It was funny because "being loyal" was suppose to make Pearls stay with their owner but this time it made Light want to stay with rebels. Gem was near to give up and join Quartz but he knew what might happen if he will join.


"Power source huh?" Pearl get up from the chair and started walkìng "Give me a moment to figure this out... you are saying that if we will come back they won't hurt us but if we will stay they will shatter us or use as a power source? That is funny because hw used me as a power source before even thought I was still good in working and they didn't know If I did something worth punishment. So when I will come back they will use me as a power source anyway or I will be a slave for someone. I don't want to suffer there again... and if there is still a hope to save this planet I can't just give up. Also yes, I am scared but it isn't bad."

Light turned to Quartz "You have no idea how it feels to be me..." Pearl was hoping that Para will stay with him and other Crystal Gems  "We are going to fight for this planet! Right Para?!"

[Forge Master Para]

As instructed Para sat in silence and took it all in, the calmness of the situation finally let her fully realize how badly she had messed up. She nodded as he finished, "I will admit you are very knowledgeable on the matter. Allow me to start from the beginning..." She cleared her throat, meeting Morion's eyes as she talked, "It is very true that the rebellion is nowhere where it needs to be, that has always been as such. Both understaffed and underpowered, their chances are not exactly high. Their efforts on this planet have done nothing but to show that they see themselves as if on some vacation, having already won the fight as far as they were concerned." She began to nervously tab the armrest of her chair, though her actual expression showed nothing but calm composure, "And trust me, I am very aware of the situation above our heads. As for why I rebelled, that much is not as noble as much. I suppose I was simply bored If I am to be honest. I wanted to branch out my skills, but I knew I was not designed for such things. The hierarchy doesn't take too kindly to when you move out of your designated position. So I did what I could to become free and to do as I wished, experiment to my core's content. I will admit, I only joined the Crystal Gems out of convenience." It stung a little to say that, as she was aware Light was obviously listening and was far more dedicated to the cause than herself.

She turned her head to watch Light, though she quickly looked away and simply shook her head, "I'm afraid it isn't that simple Light, I wish it was." Her eyes met Morion's, "I believe we don't have a choice. If we were to refuse I figure that brute Sulfur would likely shatter us before we could step foot out of this place." At this point Para actually slumped in her chair, losing her air of aristocracy. Rubbing her temple with a hand she addressed Morion, "I will be honest, I do not wish for a fight let alone a war. I simply wanted to work in peace, and I know that isn't exactly possible under Homeworld. Right...?" On the last word she almost sounded hopeful, glancing up at Morion seeming genuinely curious.

[Morion]

"I am sorry Light Mocha Pearl... truly. But trust me, if you were punished, it wasn't without a reason. Even if that reason was a Gem's incompetence... after all, only the Diamonds are Perfect"

He nodded and listened to Padparadcha

"I see..."

Morion pondered a bit

"First.. belive me Light Mocha Pearl, you would be safe... and not becasue notbody would care if a Pearl rebelled or not! Becasue I give you my word... "

The smoky Quartz them smiled warmly to the Gems

"Belive it or not... I do understand you. But as I said, the whole rebellion did nothing just hastened the Planet's grim fate. I spent a lot of time with humans... lived among them, with them. The Crystal Gems? Separated themselves from the natives they suposed to protect... my humans.... At first they were the part of my psychological warfare against the enemy. The Crystal Gems and the Rebels I thought were enamored with the Humans! Their main concern was to protect the Earth and humans they didn't even know! Immagine the Crystal Gem's face, when they tried to attack me or my allies and their precious humans formed a human shield, and protected me with their lives! And even when they founnd the will to fight against these humans they realized the ugly thruth about Humanity! It spread the seeds of doubt about Rose Quartz! Every human is worth saving, worth fighting for? The fight with other Gems? Do they worth the risk of Shattering? If not, where is that fine blurry line? Who will decide? My Humans and Criminal Empire...? This War is mostly the reason I have gathered some Human allies. I never denined the fact, they are my allies and the first line of deffense in this war... and if needed my private army against our enemies..."

He admited

"But... after a time relaized, the Crystal Gems is nothing more than a joke. anyhow, I did what the Rebels "forgot". I told the Humans the truth. My Humans are well aware of their Planet's future. I told them. And I have offered salvation to my Humans, or and their descendants. This planet is a colony after all... always was and always will be! With precious resurces, not to mention Experiments...! My Humans are the survivor type. And they are opportunitic. I promised them a chance to survive basically... to them and or to their descendants. Not a big price for their loyality. It is funny tho'... their race will survive thanks to their race's most disdained and despised members."

Morion leaned back in his seat

"The Rebellion doomed humanity... I have saved it. After everything is ready, I will leave this word with my Humans... enough humans to give the race a Future! Far from the Empire... a chance to survive and prepare. Eventually it is possible, the Gems will find that World too. In a millenium? Or ten? Don't know... but when the time comes, New Earth will be prepared and could have a chance... Humanity only needs time to become advanced enough to build their own empire, and own future. I will give them this time... "

The smoky Quartz walked to the window, watched the City

"We are Gems, we are timeless, eternal... but nothing more than golrified von neumann probes... most of us lack the basic organic's ability to learn, to be more than we suposed to be. I think this is why we hate the organics... it is envy. We are jealous. After ten thousand years the Gems will be the same.... humanity have the potential to be anything. I think you two both understand this.

Morion looked to them

"Come home... abandon the Rebellion, help me to restore peace. And for your loyalty... I will give you the same that I gave to my humans. Future. Maybe they will let you to live with them on New Earth... if not, I will take you to another word and report your death. you could be free.
