The sapphire's eyes widened as Opalite made her clear declaration, and the static took shape on her back. Then, her expression grew much more dour as she realized that the runaway was planning to make an escape. This gem she faced had the ability to manipulate her surroundings to her advantage, and Padparadscha had seen first hand the devastating affects of those abilities. With no body guards, only one frail pearl-- it seemed to be a losing battle. It would be a debacle to attempt to capture her, even if she was worn from the previous tangle with corruptions. But, Opalite and her warrior companion would surely become thorns in the side of Homeworld if she simply allowed them to go. It was a tough decision to make, and one that was ultimately outside of the jurisdiction of her assignment.
Justice, however, was tenacious. These two would be brought to it, whether it was now or later. Whatever Opalite had done, whatever she was at fault for, the sapphire decided that it would come back around to her. She gave a snide grin, "Good luck. Don't get shattered out there-- not after I've stuck my gem out for you."
She had the evidence she needed. Part of her wished she'd let that Blue Goldstone get shattered. It was a horrible thought for her, she shoved it down quickly. Still, what had come of her gesture? She would be entirely responsible for letting them get away, but, she surmised that she would also be entirely responsible for capturing them, and bringing them back to Homeworld to face the Diamonds they'd scorned.
